厚樸有秋
Autumn at Hope Yuan
A little fall magic from our garden: golden leaves, yellow lanterns, and a quiet moment after the rain.
Feature Story
A Garden in Fall
Fall has arrived at Hope Yuan.
The trees are turning yellow, orange, and red. Golden leaves cover the ground. The lanterns hang quietly beside Houpu Pavilion.
At first, we tried to clean up the leaves. We used a leaf blower to clear the ground. But the wind kept bringing more leaves.
Then one day, we stopped and looked around. The garden was beautiful just as it was.
The leaves were not a mess. They were part of fall.
So we decided to let some of them stay. Sometimes, nature looks better when we leave it alone.

After the Rain
Quiet, Deep, and Steady
On sunny days, the garden is bright and full of color. After the rain, it looks different.
The ground is wet. The colors are deeper. The air feels fresh, and everything seems quieter.
The trees, the yellow lanterns, the food window, and Houpu Pavilion are still there. Nothing has moved, but the whole garden feels different.
We enjoy the sunshine. We also enjoy the quiet after the rain. Each has its own beauty.
After rain: the leaves, the lanterns, and the pavilion settle into a calmer mood.
A wider view: the wet ground makes the garden feel deeper and more quiet.
Slow Looking
Kitchen1007 and Houpu Pavilion belong to the same picture, the same garden, and the same season.
When We Slow Down
Sometimes we notice more when we stop trying to improve the scene.
What looked like extra work became part of the beauty. What first felt messy became part of the season.
This is the feeling behind Hope Yuan: simple, natural, and real.
A Poem from Hope Yuan
秋染層林滿院金
一行黃燈映幽深
亭邊靜看歸真處
厚樸園中見本心
What the poem means
Autumn colors fill the whole garden with gold.
A line of yellow lanterns glows among the trees.
By the pavilion, we pause and return to a quiet, true place.
Here at Hope Yuan, we see our true heart more clearly.
