October 29, 2026 — Crocs shares surged approximately 27% on Thursday after the footwear company raised its full-year financial outlook, signaling growing confidence in the recovery of its HEYDUDE brand and continued demand for its signature clogs.
The upbeat forecast sets Crocs apart from a broader footwear industry facing uneven consumer spending, rising costs and intense competition. Many brands have increasingly relied on promotions to attract shoppers as consumers become more selective about discretionary purchases.
Shares Reach a Two-Year High
Crocs stock climbed to $151.82, its highest level in two years. If the gains hold, the company will record its strongest single-day performance since 2018.
The company now expects revenue to grow approximately 3% in 2026, raising its previous forecast of 1% to 2%.
The improved outlook reflects stronger-than-anticipated progress at HEYDUDE, alongside steady demand for Crocs’ namesake footwear.
HEYDUDE Turnaround Gains Momentum
Crocs said HEYDUDE’s recovery is progressing faster than expected, supported by stronger retailer orders and inventory selling through quickly.
The improvement helped HEYDUDE’s wholesale revenue increase 14%, providing a boost to the company’s broader performance.
The results suggest the brand is beginning to regain momentum after facing challenges, strengthening Crocs’ confidence in its revised annual outlook.
Company Confident in Protecting Profitability
Crocs CFO Patraic Reagan said the company believes it can preserve profitability even if inflation remains elevated.
He pointed to several measures supporting that outlook, including pricing adjustments, supply-chain improvements and cost-saving initiatives.
The company’s ability to manage expenses while maintaining demand will remain important as footwear brands navigate higher operating costs and changing consumer behavior.
Consumer Spending Remains Uneven
Crocs CEO Andrew Rees described the current market as a “K-shaped economy,” in which lower-income consumers face greater pressure while higher-income shoppers remain comparatively resilient.
“We see weakness at the low-end consumer, and we see strength at the high-end consumer,” Rees said during the earnings call.
Despite these differences, Crocs believes its products remain relatively affordable, with many items priced between $50 and $60. That positioning could help the company appeal to shoppers seeking value while remaining competitive in a challenging retail environment.
Stronger Outlook Sets Crocs Apart
The footwear sector continues to face pressure from inconsistent consumer demand, elevated costs and competition for customers. Many companies have turned to discounts to support sales, potentially weighing on profitability.
Crocs’ stronger forecast reflects the company’s confidence that its established clog business can remain resilient while HEYDUDE’s recovery contributes additional growth.
Investors responded positively to the outlook, sending shares sharply higher as the company signaled progress in its turnaround and greater confidence in its ability to sustain revenue growth and protect margins.
