Los Angeles — Nine Inch Nails members and acclaimed film composers Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross are joining forces once again to create the musical score for David Fincher’s upcoming movie, “The Further Mis-Adventures of Cliff Booth.” The project marks the sixth time the pair have collaborated with the filmmaker on a feature film.

The announcement of their involvement appeared on the movie’s poster. The film is scheduled to debut exclusively in IMAX on November 25, where it will remain for two weeks before becoming available for streaming on Netflix starting December 23.

Reznor and Ross first partnered with Fincher on 2010’s “The Social Network.” Their work on the film earned them both an Academy Award and a Golden Globe for best original score.

The composers subsequently handled the music for every film Fincher directed after that project, including 2011’s “The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo,” 2014’s “Gone Girl,” 2020’s “Mank” and 2023’s “The Killer.” Their work on “The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo” also earned them the Grammy Award for best score soundtrack for visual media in 2013.

Beyond their recurring partnership with Fincher, the duo have contributed music to several other productions, including “Patriots Day,” “Soul,” “Challengers,” “Bird Box” and “Queer.”

Ross has worked alongside Reznor since 2002, when the two collaborated on the Tapeworm project. He has also participated in numerous Nine Inch Nails releases throughout their partnership.

“The Further Mis-Adventures of Cliff Booth” serves as a spin-off of the 2019 film “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood,” with the story centered on Brad Pitt’s title character. Written by Quentin Tarantino, the upcoming movie takes place eight years after the events of “Hollywood.”

Its ensemble cast includes Elizabeth Debicki, Scott Caan, Carla Gugino, Timothy Olyphant and Yahya Abdul-Mateen II.
