NBA's Top Plays of Week 7 | 2024-2025 Season

Morant behind the back. Bain steps back. Morant, ball fake. Oh! Millions and millions of people watch. Millions and millions are going to watch this also. Against Chris Stapps, Porzingis, an elite level shot blocker. Double clutches. Yes! Five seconds to work with. Ivy, Steph. They're picking rolls as well, and this is the shot. It's a few steps beyond half court, but he's got that type of range. He is one of one. Hawks trying to win it and not give the Lakers a chance. Back to Hunter. Back to Trey. He'll take the three. Down the gate! 144-132. Trey backing it out. Wanted to work some clock. Hunter. Covered up by Davis. Got it right back to him. And Trey drills the biggest shot of the night. And Terry Rozier has checked in for the Heat. Here's Hero on the baseline. Guarded by Hunter Morant. Bam gets by Davis. Yes! Oh, man. All the way to the house. Christy Lake coming across. Right there. Paul. Inside. Wimby! Just caught it in midair! Look at the Phoenix Suns right now. They're looking around in bewilderment. He just catches that one. And Dev Booker, he's just along for the ride. I mean, there's absolutely nothing he can do. Absolutely helpless there as a defender. What a play. Hart getting into quarterback position. Baseball pass. Bridges to Bridges! Oh! Off the count! By Leitner. There's the catch. The pass there to Bridges. Oh, Kaloko for three. No. Shannon. Oh! Look out below! As we enjoy Terrence Shannon Jr. Man. Kaloko didn't know what he was jumping at right there. With his shooting this game from start to finish. Bogey. Nice pass. Jalen with the left-hand block. By Jalen. He takes off. Switches in the air. He had no shot at blocking. Bansford up ahead to Lively. And then a long, vicious pass! Catch and finish at the rim. But also, his ability. Backdoor cut. Now the pass and create. Really poor defense by Portland, but better offensive execution by the Clippers. It's a success this evening for the Clippers. Shot no good. Rebound. Butazic. I didn't like sitting there, though, and not working. I will say. That was strange, wasn't it? What a take by Franzbach! Watch the cut here. Goga doing a nice job letting Franz clear. Just stay with him. We know he's done if he says yabu. There you go. Nice steal by Jalen Suggs. Behind the back! Flips it to Franz Wagner. The runner is in! Jalen Suggs. This is a great steal right here. And then just flips it up right into the hands of Franz Wagner. That'll be three home games in a matter of five weeks. It's also a really challenging road stretch for the Thunder here during this time. All right. Thank you, Paris. And coming out of the timeout, Kayson Wallace! Full 11! He was going to do that. Great pass. Passing lane steal. He just rises up. I always like to answer as soon as possible. We've got him tentative now. Bad pass. Stolen by Hart. Ahead to Towns. Powers to the paint! And one! Wow. Thriving and thriving. And they're going to take a look at this. Emphatic, dramatic stop. Making a run. DeRozan. Wow. Great vertical defense. Two on one. Pippen. Aldama! Yes! And the foul! Starts with great defense on one end by Hough. The push. Scottie Pippen getting freaky with it. And then Sonti! And one! Look at that. Between the legs. Now they're having fun. That's when the Grizzlies start to really enjoy themselves. You see the bench also enjoying. Knicks are shooting 60% from downtown. They're 15-25 tonight. Miller at the horn. Gets it to go! Brandon Miller somehow drops it in. 26 points for him. Too early. Goes through. Gets it now. Up ahead for Julian Phillips! Oh, Mr. Walker, what were you doing? And the Lakers are nursing the one-point advantage. Oh! They steal it! All the way! That hurt the Lakers there. That pass was lazy. You see Daniels there, but LeBron came out of nowhere. You know, the thing about Anthony Simons is he only played 140 minutes his rookie year. Playing behind both Dave and CJ. Here he comes up the floor. His rookie year he had just 10 threes. Oh! He throws a gorgeous pass. Collins, eight-year pro. Watch this one. Mavericks have time here at 2.8. It's quickly into Luka. And he got it away from about 40 feet. He made it! He made it! He made it! A little something for Slovenian Heritage Knights. They work on this every day in practice, and now you know why. Put it in there. Put it in Luka's hands. He'll make magic happen. It was a no-look too, you see. Best record in the NBA. You gotta play a full 48. Oh! BC with the bounce! You talk about how can they get Brandon Clark involved. They don't run as many pick-and-rolls as they have in the past. But when they do roll it and BC is involved, well, I'll tell you this much, BC bounce is back. McNair's not happy. No foul call there. Jalen Smith. He'll have to launch it from half. Oh! Mr. Smith! They stop him. Oh! His bait steps through. Wow, what a shot by Jalen Smith. Nabs can't finish. Jokic gonna heave. And a count of it goes. Yes! Nikoli Jokic! What can't this man do? Three-pointer. Nothing but net. It's been almost three minutes of a barren desert. Brandon splits a double-team. Oh, yes! Responded to coaching. Look at him split right here. Oh, you're too late. Somebody clip it off. That's gonna be a... He's running hard. Paul got it knocked away. Fight for it. Back and it works. Oh! Castled a no-look! How about that little flip? He continues to get into the paint. Into traffic. Pass knocked away. Another turnover. Two-on-one. Monk around the world. The Rosen with the lay. Not a lot of defensive resistance right now early on from this Utah Jazz team. And the Kings are doing a great job defensively of getting out early again. They don't play again the Clippers until Friday, December the 13th at Denver. So this is their only game in well over a week as the Rockets get the ball back. And here comes a man, Thompson. Oh! To the rim with a big foul. On the Clippers. The Rockets with the lead. 5'57 to go in the first. How about that finish? Gonna go for the long ball. Henderson is back there. Makes the catch. And that will end this third quarter of play. Henderson getting it off in time. Now here he comes out of his hands. Out of his hands. That bucket's good for three. That's money. Give him five. Tatum at three. Pritchard at number seven. Derrick White ranking eighth. Three on the shot clock. Hero with a scoop and the score. An excellent attack by Thompson. This is a yo-yo right there. Whoa! That's a moving screen by Brogdon. Long way to close the third. Dujante trying to and evil. That's how you have to. The basketball go right at. Coordinate. You got foot speed. Excellent take. Bam! Hammered it down. For his offense here on the fourth quarter. This is what I'd love to see Bam do more which is face up slower footed players who are playing off of it. Just go right at him. That's just a nice powerful 40 seconds left. Trey on the run out. Trey lobs it up there and another throw down. As we are done with the Pelicans one more time. Look at that flip with a thunderous dunk. For Jalen Johnson. Abaji in traffic mobile. Barrett blocked by Turner. Cover it up Miles! Cover it up! The coaching staff Miles trying to cover it up. Third block shot for Turner. Jalen Johnson and a flush! Oh my goodness! And it dumps Jalen Johnson's season. Look out below. My goodness! He ties Tayshaun Prince for the 11th longest streak in the history of the league. And Inouye misses the flush to the left hand. Jokic has it. Jokic hustling. Great pass a no looking second misfire of the night. Bane against Fox back door to Huff reverse slam! Rizzy's over the limit. Nice setup there by Desmond Bane the look away the drop off of throwing it down with ease. 14 to 4 run for the Grizzlies. Maxey he'll drive rejected by Anthony Brack! Trying to take him off to dribble looking stride for stride and then able to gather and spot that one away. Straight to the rim makes the defense pay. Edwards for his second 3-0 Go Bears! You talk about a misplay right here A.D. and drop coverage Anthony Edwards tries to make him pay but then A.D. caught in middleman land not able to block out not able to get out and contest the 3 stifle tower on your head! That's off he checks he's on fire! Bulls extend mid floor Trey will take a bomb and hit it! Alright, LeBron throwing it up the court and there Vincenzo those are some of the little things we saw him do with the Knicks last year in addition to setting New York's all-time single-season 3-point record but he also did a lot of that! Quick trigger right here hustling in transition taking the defense serious and then this is where the T-rolls have thrived off of Lakers turnovers and bad shots 118 109 backdoor lob to Daniel LeBron's next 3 will put him in sole possession of 7th place on Sunday you knew Anthony Edwards Richard uses this one from Brown Larson defends Richard likes it takes him to the dance floor gets in the lane left! 20 of the 47 here we go oh look at this by Suggs recovery I mean this was a recovery because Brunson was looking back at him he had a step and a half on Suggs now they're having words with one another down low averaging 3 stocks per game Morant looking for an entry opportunity Brandon Clark puts it up and in straight switch deflected into the arms of Simpson points are in the bonus Miller switch it Nick has hands out Paul George throws it right into the hands and you get a turnover scramble mode for the 6ers and Brandon Miller knocks down his 4th 3 of the court yeah 3rd year undrafted player 19 points and a game bonus let in Oso with a nice throw over 5 3's per game but look at this beautiful dive I mean look at that and the defense should do that they should respect KD but like I said Iso's right here with Oso when he sets those screens he gets to the rim and there's no help on the other side Gafford there to challenge it Downs with the outlet Canard got in the way of Kyrie but can't stay in the way as Kyrie drives and finishes Halliburton chased down by Pirtle on the switch Miles set a good screen oh he went right around him he did a nice job he kept dribbling you know you gotta be strategic you only get 6 so that's it KD with a crossover and clock there's a deflection SGA once again stepping into the passing lane there's the flop and sets it up KD now got a defensive play Indiana now shooting 41% from 3 Rafters 40% Scottie weaving Scottie oh what a rebound bucket what's this right here 2 man action just splits it SIA oh that's beautifully done career high here is Murray his shooting numbers are down he takes it inside Wiggins defends and a foul on the play Wiggins picks up his first and Murray in the last 3 games has kind of picked up his into a walk up 3 Morant misses but an outlet pass and another lead by Dinwiddie to Gelford he stretches out on TNT with 2 games Curry 3 setting the screen Curry with Brown there the rotation and Wiggins Payton and Curry 3 late throws Brown a guess that we've been talking about all night Curry skips it another pass to Wiggins he gets it back to this side comes all the way back I mean just great ball and Murray cutting for the dunk and a half court set from the weak side he just went slip move you think he's coming try to get it to DeRozan again Monk goes instead just a bonus for the layup DeMar DeRozan missing a couple more games Fox turn the corner wow what speed Monk will launch it'll count got it Malik how about this heads up play first of all De'Aaron Fox lost the ball they get a bucket but he comes up shot clock recognition finds Malik Monk his running mate and he knocks down the triple Jalen Brown crosses over loses the ball Cade to forecourt to the basket flushed it provided by Cade Cunningham just gonna thump this thing over White first round LeBron got a good offensive first half so far trying to make it even better and he does LeBron getting an absolute dunk in a half court set special attention to Anthony Davis tonight he's earned that Butler reaches in comes up with a steal Jimmy Butler going in here's Jimmy Butler one on one along with Haywood Highsmith able to help and now Jimmy running out heat on a 7-0 run that defense shot two Trey in the lane Trey to the cup you gotta stop yes Cade inbounds and look at that sweet shot by Malik loose ball foul called on Al Horford looking to exploit this mismatch against Hardaway draws two White to catch the lob Porzingis the flush nice pass down low to Anthony Black terrific in their face in the second half wow by Reed talk about highlight reel kind of plays Nas Reed and blocks Randle down the lane Clippers are shooting sub 29% from the floor Randle yes back cut Gordon and Gordon dunks it on Dean Wayne again out to Luca the logo Lively will go way out there to screen for him he drives he shoots oh it's a lob cool looking at it I'm I'm going back to my generous statement unless he can he can shoot it knowing that Lively's there but you know Lively's all gotta get the lead back Marcus three seconds two seconds Marcus on the deck shoots and scores away from Shampenny who's squeezing out his right hand Duarte steps into a three Boosey little Boosey Burns being at the bottom floor baby's a party in the pit outs wow whoo that was bad his shot fell short Castle rips it away the fake and the fit from the fourth overall pick he did all the work coming up with this deal nice ball fake shot missed Bane the rebound Dez a pull up three Django Burns at the buzzer it's good underneath Harrison Barnes just has a little space to work with wisely uses the glass there and our guys after suffering that 8-0 run finding a little momentum at the end of the third as a competing defensive team you know jobs getting better nice pass Lavanda Muchovich and one I don't know where people get this this opinion he doesn't want to win he's not a winning player it's not a one man show it's a team game and threat beautifully stolen by Jalen Green ahead to Shin Goon has Brooks with him goes behind the back the sauce and the slam the biggest challenge you could have losing five in a row having games that you let slip away Van Gogh to Kuczynski tic-tac-toe the dog more and more in the post fake to the baseline you see the double team coming understand exactly what's happening here comes the goggles the bench approves and why wouldn't not for an entire 48 minutes Giannis needs an entire wall great defense from Jackson comes up with the steal prints down the other end finds a critical and Giannis throws it down handing it over to Dyson Daniels the defense splits the defenders finds Brisha Shea out of the way what a pass on the run terrific pass because he forced the defense to come you're watching greatness and don't take it for granted look at that pass how about that Chris Paul already has six assists in this game beautiful cut by Jeremy Sohan better pass from Chris Paul he's directing traffic just threads the needle there the Bucs with their largest lead of the first half Jaylen Brown blows past Middleton reverse layup Bucs at home sweet move with Jaylen Brown at four at two PG from the wall count it here comes Middleton kicks it out Lillard sidestep three-pointer got it Damian Lillard with his with six to shoot it's LeBron LeBron with Krejci in front of him the Bucs comes over too late as he backs in look at this shot look where he is when he releases it that's a difficult shot you see gotta be it's a turnover no matter what it is now at the other end live Kraus stands on their feet in transition the turnover and then LeBron one receiving in from Krejci throws it down and only the 15th of the season Harford with a three bang Harford from downtown Vincent trying to negotiate some space live A.D. snap again Gabe reading and making good decisions great pass to the role man Anthony Davis for the easy flush that's what put the Lakers up by a point now Reed on the switch Curry fine screen lays it in even Looney couldn't handle it DiVincenzo lobbing it up to Gobert so that Nas Reed could be the pop guy Edwards connects on a three need to get better in that department but Shaq Penny is cooking it's a block by Valanchunas Bilal ahead of the pack rocks the rim hopefully off percent so far that on five turnover is in that's why OKC 8-31 last season after taking over for Russ Unseld Junior well you just saw Larry he gets pushed right away so he's just gonna get the ball up so you see he's behind the backboard and just switched it I mean that's an H Chris you got an H right now Katie's got an H-O on that and I got an H-O-R problem about two weeks Caruso no but over the top here comes Junior College shoots at two different D1 schools he's guarding Luka Davion Mitchell bracketed Luka with Movo outside on the kick out Kyrie tap over the pool JP gotta go to work sidestep deep three got it all net from Jordan Pool Dallas once again walling off to Payton what a pass Luka through traffic to Clay Thompson O'Neal puts it on the deck to drive across the lane shot blocked gets it back gotta kick it out didn't hit the iron Booker squares fires and connects from Deez again good defense from Jaime Jaquez Butler on the move got it a touchdown run for Jimmy Butler he went coasting gearing up Jaime Jaquez Junior able to compete on the ball there helped force a tough shot Jimmy able to get out early transition around in the first 16 in the second 11 here in the third 14 in the third quarter are you kidding me Jordan Pool do your thing and Nixon Junior with the block Holliday picks it up finds Pritchard splice action here Bork rejected by Porzingis and he kept it inbound as it sat in the fourth quarter yeah he's really earned the trust of the coach and stuff oh my Butler trying to finish this game off one drive after another that's Garland he misses the three Bort swept by Bann looking deep and on a football Sunday that's a basketball touchdown that ball luckily sailed past Halliburton yeah they're lucky to catch that and then Tyrese spins and scores and Halliburton over Josh Green final minute plus of the quarter McConnell the other way he has been Indiana's all and a steal by guess who the great barrier Thieb gets the dunk yeah that's right exactly what he's trying to do and that's a block by Victor Wimbenyama he's missing he can't move and it's taken by Matherin and it's a two point game Matherin just stays there and the pass is tough for Green to handle it's going to the basket which is fortunate quick break and blocked by Wimbeny Paul up to Sohan shovel pass Vassell Spurs within one Wimbenyama the one footer for the lead than I have ever seen on an NBA jersey it looks good on the drawing board it doesn't look good from 100 feet away Huff oh Jay Huff detonating the rim Junior has three gentle drive Huff punching it with authority did I say something that Washington allows teams to shoot 70% at their end scatter ball here seven to shoot into Yoke and Yoke puts it away so Nikola Jokic when you put the ball on the floor and then shoot the three ball catch it let it go the ace is good on your own setting higher screens on McDaniel back to Wimbenyama puts up a three and Spurs the lead ten to shoot Sharp coming over to get involved Simons a step back as he shuffles to his left and drills a three properly you know you talk about moving to basketball sometimes it's with the pass and other times it's with the dribble and this possession is both things 40% for Portland and they're up by two KD blocks that one just as good as an alteration another look at Anthony Davis just patrolling the paint blocks it barely got a piece kept it so much in play he was able there and it forces the Warriors to get in rotation though they're just not getting to the shooter in time get a banked in shot it ain't exclusive no way he scores over three rockets right there Green splits the double team comes to the lane on the other side oh how about that Graham out down 106 Mr. Curry coming up on Warrior post game live night night sleep tight the Warriors taking a win on their way to Houston Anthony Davis has everybody on the Blazer team thinking about him oh come on that's good bounce great bounce thread the old needle right there there were two great bounces right there
