Hello, it's me, Priscilla. Yesterday was my birthday and it was amazing having my first day of being 9. That was my 9th birthday and right now I am 9. Though it was kind of sad on May 9th. My birthday is May 10th. On May 9th, I was kind of sad because I knew this was my last day of being 8. It really feels amazing to have a birthday. And can I tell you something that really excited me? My parents threw me a surprise party. I really wasn't expecting it. And it made me so happy that I cried in tears of joy. I was just expecting a nice dinner with my family and maybe get a few presents or so from my relatives and my parents. But no. In the afternoon, they took me to a park and all my friends showed up there. If your parents do something like this, kids, feel grateful. It's really a wonderful birthday. And if you guys have the same birthday, May 10th is actually a pretty common birthday. So you can drop it down in the comments below. Oh, right. And I also heard that my dad never did birthday parties. Here's how my grandma told it to me. He couldn't remember his relative's birthday, so apparently his mother didn't throw him any birthdays either. Though on his 18th birthday, my grandma threw him a big party that surprised him a lot since he did not have any birthday parties before. She and her co-workers went to a restaurant or a food buffet and threw him a great party. To me, birthdays should mean a lot to young kids. But to me right now, I think it's all right neither to not have a birthday party or to have a birthday party. Spending time with my family is already a great gift.
