Hi, everyone. Today, I'm going to show you how to join a Google Meet and how to start
a new meeting. You might have someone asking you to join Google Meet and you don't know
what to do. You can ask your friend or someone to send you a Google Meet link and you can
just enter it on the screen like this. So, for example, that's the Google Meet link.
Just enter. This is the case when you're already logged into your Google account. If you don't
have any Google account or you don't sign in, it will ask you to enter your name. You
can just enter any name that you want. It will show that do you want people to see or
hear you in the meeting. Usually, it's handy to be able to do that. You can just use microphone
and camera. You just use while you are in a meeting. Use your microphone and use your
camera. Then, you need to ask if you can join. So, if your microphone is working, you'll
be there. If your camera is working, you will be there. If it has this sign, that is likely
that you might have your camera turned off. So, you just need to turn it on. But in this
case today, I just don't want to have my camera on. So, you can just click already and ask
to join. So, now you are waiting for someone to let you in. You will pop up on the account
and then they will allow you to join. Okay. So, now you are in the meeting now. So, if
you want to mute yourself, you can click here. Then, people won't be able to hear you when
you talk. And if you want to have your camera on, you can click there. Turn on and turn
off your camera, you can click there. And then, if you have something you want to ask
question, you can just click, raise your hand, and then you'll be in the queue to ask question.
And if you want to give a reaction, you can do that. And if you want to end the meeting,
you can just click end call. Now, let's learn how to create a Google Meet meeting. So, you
go to the Google Meet home screen and you click there, new meeting, create a meeting
for later, and copy that link, Google Meet link, and then you can send that Google Meet
link via email or you can, if you have a chat, you can send that Google Meet link through
a chat. And then, when you wanted to enter the meeting, you can click Google Meet link
there, and join now. And when your friends start joining the meeting, and once they ask
to join, this will be pop up here. You can click admit, and you can see people who have
joined here. So, if you have more than one person joining, you can change layout. This
is a dynamic, so three people, that one is you, and then tied to look like that. So,
if you want to change the layout to spotlight, it will be the person who are talking, and
then you can't see everyone else. And if you want to do the sidebar, you'll be able
to see everyone that is in the meeting, like mostly. If there's more people that the screen
can handle, you just have to click something down here. So, there's a pop up saying that
you can talk up to an hour without any charge, because this one is a free Google account.
If you want to be able to talk more than one hour, you can click extend the call,
and then it will lead you to upgrade your account. So, if you upgrade your account,
$23.60 per month after the trial's end. So, you'll get all these benefits,
but I don't think that's necessary for now. One hour should be sufficient for normal
chatting. If you do have to have longer meeting, upgrading is also good. You don't have to go for
this upgrade package. You can go for some other place, other ones. Now, let's have a look at
another one that is the background and effect. So, with Google Meet, you can have a different
background effect, like for example, that one. People can see you with your background on.
You can change the background to anything you like, what kind of place that is representing
you, what kind of mood you are in. You can change that as well, but you just need to make sure the
lighting is good so that your face is clear. Also, another thing that is quite good is to
share your screen as well. If you have a presentation that you would like to share,
this function is pretty good. That's it. That's how to join the Google Meet meeting
and how to create a new meeting. In the next video, I will show you more on how to share the screen
using this share screen function and also how to change the background effect when you actually
are in present there. All right. That's it for today. Thanks for joining. I'll see you in the
next video.
