The Summer I Turned...30!🎂BIRTHDAY VLOG at Hotel Quintessence, Mont-Tremblant, Quebec 🇨🇦

Welcome to the beginning of my 30th birthday vlog. We've driven all the way to Mont-Tremblant, which is kind of a staycation place now because it's only an hour and a half away from Montreal because of course we moved to Montreal and I freaking love Quebec. I did get some balloons and I'm so dumb. I got them on Amazon and I thought I could just blow them up and that they would float. And Tyler's like, no, they will just be on the ground. So we went to Canadian Tire, but it is Labor Day. Luckily it's open. He's getting some helium balloons for me. I forgot about, you know, gravity for a minute. There he is. I think I'm gonna do curls tonight for dinner that look like this. And I recently got some highlights. I don't know if you can tell, but I have little balayage going on. There's the ski slope. It's also just amazing weather right now. So this is turning out to be an amazing birthday. Here we are at my favorite luxury boutique hotel called Hotel Quintessence, which I've been pronouncing very wrong the last few times I visited here. You know, moving to a French province, it's very humbling. Even the words that I think I'm saying right, I'm really not. But how stunning is this room? Maybe we did stay in exactly this room last time. I think you're right. Usually I put these vlogs on my second channel, JackieBlogs. I thought 30th birthday, big milestone. Also, this blog has so many of my favorite things and I'm so happy here in Montreal. So I guess I wanna share a little bit more of my life. Hope this puts you in a good mood because it's good vibes only. Just finished curling my hair. I used my very old Bellamy curler that I've had for 10 years. It looks pretty crusty, but it does the job. And I'm gonna let these sit. Eat a charcuterie board because dinner isn't for two hours and we're hungry. Ooh. Which one should I try? I don't know. I'll get some blue cheese. I'll get some prosciutto. I just tried a lychee and I was expecting something sweet and it's kind of like an onion, but everything was so good. Finished the hair. Can't wait to show you this very extra dress. Kind of looks like a wedding dress. I was sent this a couple months ago and I figure like when else am I gonna wear this dress? So I'm gonna wear it to dinner, unless I chicken out. But I'm definitely taking photos in this room with this gorgeous dress and my 30 balloons. I'll show you the dress. Let's do it over there. Yeah, we can take the little chocolate thing off. It might look good on the top of the other one. Hold on. DIY samurai turn pretty cake. Hey, there we go. It looks pretty good. And then we'll put that thing on top and we'll add the raspberries and we'll like decorate the plate with raspberries. We slaved over this for hours. Look, the whole flavor profile depends on the bitterness of the dark chocolate and the sweet tartness of the raspberries. Should I cover it all with strawberries? I think go crazy with the strawberries. Raspberries? It's raspberries. We both are saying strawberry. Some of them are, oops. Go around the front. It's a Michelin key. Whatever, I like spreading misinformation. Michelin key. The whole hotel. The hotel, which makes sense because it's like so nice. Wow, I can't believe this fits in that, like. Science. Oh, that fit my dress. Oh, does it look cool though? Yeah. Happy birthday, Jackie. Thank you. The cake. We've added raspberries in our champagne. What's the details? I just dripped on myself. It's okay. It's clear, right? Mm-hmm. At least I didn't drop this on my beautiful dress. I can't wait to actually try this. Tonight? Yeah, we'll keep it. I don't want this before dinner. Yeah, I know. It's a little bit crazy looking. Put this in the fridge. Happy birthday. Last time we ate here, I got lobster risotto and it was so good. I didn't even give Tyler a bite and we still talk about that to this day. But I think I'm gonna try something different even though I absolutely loved that. Maybe Tyler will get the lobster risotto. You're not kidding, are you? Yeah, I am. It's my birthday. Oh yeah, that's true. I changed my mind. I chickened out. So I'm wearing actually my birthday dress but I'll reopen this for tomorrow. Look at this dress. I need an iron to cut. Tyler holds it up. This one is amazing. First bite. Didn't know my flash was on. I'm from dinner and I thought I would be young and hip, 30 year old and go out downtown. But I'm in this room and we're doing a bubble bath. Good morning. It's officially my birthday. I'm having a little espresso. And this palette that I used today, I have got this like so long ago but I just started using it. It's the Aspen Ovar palette. It's so pretty. So I just have kind of a light wash of color. Here's the morning view. We're gonna go out on that water. This is the gorgeous dress I wore last night and it's from the brand. Thanks, Benny. Took some classic breakfast in bed pics with my 30 balloons, but we're actually gonna eat outside because it's so nice out. Forgot my phone. Look. Best day of the year. You see how she puts her hand on there? That's very fancy. What's your favorite part? The sauce. The sauce? Presents. Presents, okay. No, no. You want me to do the sweetest note? You don't get to say it. Yeah. Which you may have already seen in the vlog. It kind of matches the wallpaper. It does. This is the prettiest tea dress. I saw it years ago and really wanted it and then looked on the site and it was gone. So when it popped back up, I was like, please, my birthday. So I love it so much. Also got these gorgeous clips from the brand Solar Eclipse. They're made in New York and they're hand-painted. So I have a butterfly and a seahorse. Two of my favorite things. So thank you to Solar Eclipse. They sent this over. I'm probably going to wear one today. Here's the little earrings. Dainty little necklace. Oh, I love the print of this dress. Makes me look like I have boobs. That's cute. So cute. Get the little fable England earrings and necklace. You're 30. What was your best experience this year? Moving to Montreal. We've been having such a good time and I love the city. What was your favorite food? Sushi. I've been on a sushi kick. Favorite fragrance? Still Penhaligon's. Love Penhaligon's. Health Betty. What's the best lesson you learned this year? Hard work pays off. Nice. Keep going. There we go. What are you looking forward to most this year? Seeing more friends. Hanging out with friends more. Maybe getting into fitness. Maybe pushing it, but that's the goal. What's the biggest goal? I said this in the last one two years ago, but we're still hoping for that million on YouTube. A million on YouTube. Yeah. Better like and subscribe. Yeah. Favorite TV show? This will never change. H2O just said water. And then, well, Pen15 is like my actual favorite, favorite show. And I watch clips on TikTok all the time. It's such a weird show, but it's amazing. You are my actual rainbow gel pen in a sea of blue and black writing utensils. Like, I'm not doing it alone. Yeah. Duh. Pen15. All right. Most listened to music? Still Taylor Swift. Folklore, I always go back and listen. And then I love Chapel Road and Sabrina Gunther. Best trip? Tulum. We went, me, Lauren, and Tyler went to Tulum last year and it was so much fun. It's so gorgeous. Love that hotel. So that was my favorite trip. That was this year? Yeah. And when you were 29? Yeah, when I was 25. Long time ago. Those are the questions. And I will, I look forward to doing it when I'm 31. We are checking out. I put my hair in the new clock that I got. So cute. Really? Oh yeah, we did the bike. It was bright. Look at the view. Oh my gosh. My favorite thing, a beautiful day. Being sporty, I'm not doing anything right now. I'm getting me all wet. These are crazy. Why are you laughing at? Everything is so pretty when the sky is this blue. We also sold our car. So we used the Caminato, which is like Uber, but you rent the car. It's a lot cheaper than Uber. And it worked really well. Okay, another package I've been waiting on finally arrived. Whoa, the dog's bigger than I thought. Second birthday dinner. And now my best friend, Lauren, is coming down. She was in the last vlog and she's bringing her boyfriend and we're gonna go out for my birthday. But it's a rainy day. We were gonna do a hike. We ended up first going to a cafe called Tommy Cafe. Oh, it looks so cute inside. I got a Tommy ice latte, which had Lucky Charms on top. I haven't had Lucky Charms in ages. Then at the Montreal Eaton Center, there's an arcade. It was so fun. And something about me, I love VR. I am so happy in a different world. Like I cried a happiness when I did the Avatar ride at Disney. I think we might drop. Oh my God. Had some drinks at my place and then we went to a place called Le Cerveau. So what do you mean? It looks so good. I have to show you some of the gifts Lauren got me. Beautiful little candle holders from Anthropologie. I'm obsessed with Anthropologie. And they don't have one in Montreal. We still have one in Ottawa. And I love this little decor, how pretty. This set from Lévi-Anne Rose. This gorgeous thrifted lamp. She knows me too well. And now we're headed to Arthur's and I'm going full tourist mode in this Montreal sweater. Here's the morning makeup of the day and I'm feeling like blueberry pancakes. Hi mister. I know the main location doesn't take reservations and it's such a long lineup, but this one's really smooth. The vlog's still going. My family's now visiting me for my birthday. I just have on this Taylor Swift cardigan, a little athletic skirt, and I'm going to the Biodome with my little nephew, Tate. He is so cute. I always think he's just like a perfect sunny angel. I really could use some dry shampoo. I just ran out, but this is the look. Oh, what's over there? Poppin'. Smile. Aww. Can I see a bite? It's like me. And that was a very perfect week in my life where I was definitely not working and just enjoying time with my family. The food scene in Montreal is amazing, so eating lots of great food. Shopping. And while this isn't my usual content, I wanted to share my 30th birthday with you. I know sometimes people see like being out of your 20s as something to mourn, but girl, I know a lot of us are in our 30s now and it's something to be celebrated. Cheers to a new decade.
