Right, and then all of a sudden you reached over this person in the middle and you smacked his face.
Why?
Hello! Welcome to S&T Chats.
Today we bring you Yu Shuxin or Esther Yu.
Right, so here's a brief bio on Esther Yu.
She is born in December 18th, not 2025, that's for sure.
But anyways, December 18th, right?
So she's an only child, based in Shanghai, but she moved to Shanghai at a very young age.
Okay.
Her father is a mining magnate and grandfather is the head of a steel corporation.
So in the end...
Rich, rich, rich.
So in conclusion, they're very rich, right?
So they have an estimated family net worth of 40 billion yuan, which is about 5.6 billion USD.
Wow, that's very rich.
And then her first acting debut was Border Town Prodigal, went on Youth With You,
and successfully debuted as a temp member of girl band The Nine.
This is the girl version and there's also the guy version.
Cai Xukun.
Super good singer, very nice songs.
And then there's also...
One with Lisa Mentoring, right?
That show?
For the girls version, yeah.
And then Cai Xukun also debuted with Fan Bingbing's younger brother.
Fan Chengcheng.
Yeah, very nice show, definitely recommend.
Alright, so...
Shu Xin gained recognition for Find Yourself, Moonlight, Love Between Fairy and Devil,
which made her fanbase explode, My Journey to You, and my favorite, Love Game in Eastern Fantasy.
You can also find this on Netflix.
Why is Shu Xin trending in China right now?
So, apparently her fans like to protect Shu Xin.
Her fans are crazy.
I have to say, they're crazy.
Yeah, to be blunt.
They're bad crazy.
Yeah, they are bad crazy, right?
So this all started on Zhao Lusi's life.
So Lusi said that...
On her life, she said that, oh, something about driving,
it's like you get points for backing up on the highway.
And then Lusi went on to say, it's like, oh, this I know.
Before there was a celebrity, and then she smiled, you know, like we all know.
Hint, hint.
Hint, hint, right?
So it's not uncommon knowledge that celebrities get tickets and demerit points for their driving.
There has been a lot of celebrities.
We will show you a picture.
Who got tickets for backing up on the highway, right?
But Shu Xin's fans were unhappy because they thought that Lusi was like...
Oh, pointing at her.
Yeah, pointing at her.
And then all hell broke loose.
Yeah.
So then first it's Shu Xin's fans versus Lusi's fans, right?
Yes.
So that blew up.
And then after that came out, it also came out that Shu Xin's dad took the government's money, right?
So they stole the government's money.
Okay.
So then after that, like a lot of netizens have been digging up all of like...
Her past and everything.
Her past, yeah.
So Shu Xin offended a lot of celebrities.
And then in return, the celebrities' fans have beef with Shu Xin and her fans.
So then she's like, she has beef with a lot of people apparently, right?
Yeah, I mean...
She's just too wealthy.
She's too rich, so she thinks like she can say whatever she wants.
So there is...
I found a couple of clips on Douyin that basically kind of shows how princess-y and mean she is to others.
So there's this one clip of her in The Nine, in the show.
And then one of her teammates were talking and then Shu Xin just like came...
Like she was sitting next to...
There's three people.
Yeah.
Like I was talking and you were Shu Xin, right?
And then all of a sudden you reached over this person in the middle and you smacked the face.
Why?
Like she was like...
Why?
I don't know.
Nobody knows.
So that's one, right?
And then another one is Love Between Fairy and Devil.
They had like a PR promo event, right?
And then the two main leads, Shu Xin and the guy, they were talking.
And then Shu Xin's like, oh, you know that you hit me in this movement?
And then the guy actor was like, what?
What are you talking about?
Why didn't you tell me before?
Why do you have to say it now?
In front of everyone?
In front of everyone.
And then Shu Xin's like, yeah, I told you, but you didn't listen to me.
And then the guy is like...
Don't make up a script yourself.
There's also more videos such as in the reality TV show.
When they were dressed in qipao, she was forced to PK with another actor,
but actually singer, right?
I don't know.
Just another contestant on the show.
Just another guest on the show called Hao Yue Zhang.
So then after they acted out a role,
the judge Chen Jianming said that he preferred Zhang Hao Yue's acting over Yu Shu Xin's.
And then after he said that, Yu Shu Xin got visibly upset
and was like, oh, how could you like hers?
I think I did pretty good.
I'm based in Shanghai and we were told to act out a Shanghai lady.
So I thought that my acting was better than hers.
And then the judge was like, oh, well, I did say good things about you,
but I still preferred her.
But then, you know, she just went back and forth with the judge.
Yeah, she was just...
I saw that clip or that show a little bit,
and I just felt like she was very rude
because the judge already picked out which one he liked.
And then she was like, no, why her?
Like kind of like that attitude.
And then the judge even said like, I really like what he said was that
to be a good actor or actress,
you have to be different with each character.
No, like, and that's such a strong, you know, face.
And she was just so like displeased and like didn't agree with him
and just kind of rude and just kept on talking back to him.
Yeah, yeah.
So then if you don't know Chinese or like Asians in general,
especially Korea and China,
I think Japan too, actually.
Like your seniors mean a lot.
Yeah, you should respect them.
Yeah, like not even just respect.
Like you don't like retort back to what they say.
You just whatever they say, you listen, you be humble and you not.
You learn and you move on.
She was just like talking back.
Yeah, exactly.
So then I think for a lot of the older actors,
they were kind of taken back by her actions.
Yeah, you can tell he was kind of pissed.
Yeah.
Alright, so then another event that they dug up is that
during a award ceremony,
a couple of actors were on stage and they needed to take a picture, right?
So then the frame was only like yay big, right?
So then all of the actors needed to come together
and stand in the frame to take a picture, right?
So then the senior actor there was Hu Ge.
And then they were like, oh, everybody come in and take a picture.
And then you can see that the guys,
there were four guys and then Yu Shuxin, so five in total.
And then the guys were like, oh, come, you know, be humble.
Yeah, and have Hu Ge stand in the center.
And then Yu Shuxin, she apparently just went and went to the center herself
and just stay there.
And then all of the guys were like, didn't know what to do.
Hu Ge was like, this was on stage, it was live.
Hu Ge was like, oh, you know, I'll just do like, yeah,
I'll just be here and smile.
I think he's totally fine.
I love Hu Ge.
Like he's one of my favorite guy actors.
I think, and you know, his personality, everything was really good.
I don't think he would really mind.
But like just her doing that.
And she's so new in the industry too.
She's not like old.
Like Hu Ge is like, he's been in the industry for so long, right?
And he's worked his way through it.
And yeah, show some respect.
I don't know.
I mean, probably Yu Shuxin fans are going to hate me,
but I just really don't like her attitude sometimes.
Well, one of the last of the black material,
like the bad things I would say.
So Shuxin went on a reality TV show.
And then in that reality TV show,
she was like, oh, I'm afraid that I'm going to expose myself
with the dress I'm wearing.
Okay.
So then instead of turning to the girl actor,
she turned to the boy actor.
And she's like, oh, I'm afraid I'm going to expose myself.
Right.
So once it's understandable,
but then she did it another time with another actor.
Wow.
She's just trying to get attention.
Yeah.
I guess.
Yeah.
So apparently what the netizens on Douyin actually is saying that,
so because she has money,
all of the TV shows, TV dramas,
production team that she went in is...
She used her money to get in it.
I mean, her parents might have sponsored some stuff.
But it still means that she got in...
Yeah, by money.
By money.
Yeah.
And then, so one thing that kind of proved that point is that
on Weibo, which is the website for everybody, right?
That's also the...
In China.
Yeah, in China.
It's also the website that Lucy deleted her accounts, right?
So then on the website,
you can see what's trending, right?
And you should see never has anything bad trending.
Never.
Wow.
Yeah.
It's always something good, right?
It's always something good.
Yeah, I know like on the internet,
everything they try to say,
it's all good stuff about her.
Yeah.
And then only recently I've seen a few bad stuff,
but I feel like it's also been pushed down a lot.
And I see it in the Western media as well.
Oh.
Yeah.
So it's kind of crazy.
Yeah.
So then there's a comparison.
There's a Lucy comparison of her trending on Weibo,
and then there's a Yu Shuxin trending on Weibo, right?
And then there's just incredible.
Like you can see Lucy's trending top three,
and then Yu Shuxin, she did trend for something.
Something that her fans did.
And then like a one minute later, it's gone.
I mean, if you watch a lot of dramas,
either K-drama or C-drama,
you know that a lot of these celebrities
and actors and actresses,
they kind of control the tabloids, you know?
Yes.
If they have enough money,
and if they...
If they buy it.
Yeah, they buy it,
they delete it,
they push it down.
We've seen all that in all these K-dramas,
and it's real true.
It is true.
And obviously her family has a lot of money.
Right.
But why are they saying her dad's stealing money from the government?
Right.
We don't know who said what.
Like why did this come up in the first place, right?
So apparently he's been stealing money.
They denied the claim,
and then in return,
they're saying,
you know how there's a lot of black fans
that's hating on her, right?
And then in return to that claim,
they're like,
oh, you are posting my pictures without my consent,
so I'm going to sue you guys for that.
Wow.
But I don't think...
Her family.
But I don't think that's very plausible
because she is a public figure.
Exactly.
Her pictures are everywhere.
Yeah.
So I don't know what they're trying to do.
You know,
maybe they're trying to...
I mean,
China is in a really messy chaos right now.
I think there's internal battles within power.
You know,
we probably just don't know.
So a lot of these...
Like her being so powerful,
all of a sudden,
like things pop out.
Yeah.
You question it.
And her stealing her parents' money from the government?
I don't think the government would...
If they didn't want him to,
or her family,
they would...
It would never have happened.
Yeah.
You know?
If they wanted to,
it was really easy.
Yeah.
Because everybody does it.
Yeah.
Everybody does it.
So my big conspiracy on this is that...
So there's two different factions in the CCP, right?
And then,
so apparently,
maybe her dad and her is on one side of it.
And then the opposition of the opposite side
is like,
we got to make that side collapse somehow.
And then to do this,
they bring out a scapegoat,
you know?
And what better way than Shu Xin and her dad?
Yeah.
Oh, they also came out with a notice that said,
oh, whatever her dad did has nothing to do with her.
Sure.
But she uses her money.
Yeah.
So it's...
And even when all this is going on,
Shu Xin is still not trending on Weibo.
Wow.
Yeah.
Interesting.
Yeah.
Like, she's very, very, really, really rich.
Yeah.
Very rich.
She's like a real princess.
Yeah.
So there are a lot of fans coming out
that's defending Shu Xin.
And I do think that this one fan is saying is true.
But...
So what they basically said,
that it's kind of weird
if one or two people are saying bad things about the celebrity
and it's normal, right?
But then if the news is so tilted to one side of the media,
of one side, right?
Then it's kind of sus.
And then all of a sudden.
Yeah.
And all of a sudden too,
like people are digging up left and right.
You know, well, she did offend a lot of celebrities.
Maybe they all took this time to dig it out.
But it's just weird, you know?
Very sus.
And then this couple did say a good thing.
Is that even if you don't like Shu Xin,
there's no need to have fans versus fans about this.
Because the more you guys fight about this,
you're going to make it worse anyway.
So you might as well just stop this fighting.
Let's all be peaceful.
If you don't like Shu Xin,
hey, it's fine.
We like her, you like her.
It's okay.
You know, like we don't have to force someone to like someone.
Yeah.
And they're celebrities.
So you can just support them if you like them or not.
Yeah.
I still think it's everything that happens in China or whatever.
Happens for a reason.
Yeah.
There's something always behind it.
It's just we don't know.
A lot of people might think it's a conspiracy,
blah, blah, blah.
But yeah, who knows?
China's messy.
Yeah.
You know, right?
So I just do want to say one more thing before we end this video
is that during all this time
that Shu Xin is getting all this hate from her black fans,
she has not posted anything as of yet.
So she's staying quiet.
She's staying quiet,
which is a bit weird for a Chinese celebrity.
Really?
I think that's the best thing for her to do though.
It's weird because
usually when this kind of thing happens,
the celebrity would be like,
okay, let's not do this.
You know, let's all calm down.
Let's not hate on each other, right?
For instance, when Weifan went to jail,
he's like, okay, don't hate on my fans.
This is all what I did.
So I appreciate it if you don't hate on my fans.
Things like that, you know?
Because Shu Xin did do a lot of things
in the videos that we saw
and the videos on Douyin.
So, you know, in a way,
I feel like she should take responsibility for her actions
and not let her fans take the hit.
Another thing I don't like about her.
I mean, if you just mentioned that,
yeah, like she should like stand for her fans.
And be like, hey, you guys stop.
Yeah, that's a good point actually.
Well, I don't know.
It's probably more than we know.
It's probably a battle of power within the government.
Yeah, so we don't know what's going on.
So leave a thought below in the comment section below.
