So, the Secretary of State, Marco Rubio, recorded a 5-minute video entirely in Spanish,
speaking directly to the Cuban people on their Independence Day, and it was fire. He looked
into the camera and basically said, the reason you're sitting in the dark 22 hours a day isn't
a U.S. blockade, it's the people running your country who stole billions and give you nothing.
And here's my favorite part. He earlier described the Cuban leadership as,
and I'm quoting the Secretary of State of the United States,
incompetent communists. He said the only thing worse than a communist is an incompetent one.
Which, honestly, that's redundant, Marco. That's like saying wet water. Name me the competent one.
Oh, wait. Venezuela? Lights are off. Cuba? Lights are off. Soviet Union?
Whole country? Off. These guys have bankrupted every nation they've ever touched,
and somewhere on an American college campus right now, there's a 19-year-old in a Chacarrava t-shirt
going, they just never did it right. Sweetheart, they've tried it a hundred times. The common
denominator is the t-shirt. Now, speaking of people discovering economics in real time,
Jeff Bezos went on CNBC. CNBC, the temple, the high church of tax the rich. And he sat down with
Andrew Ross Sorkin and just started defending capitalism on their own network. He said the
idea that billionaires can never earn their money fairly is, quote, not right on its face.
He brought up In-N-Out. He brought up Raising Cane's. He said a nurse in Queens making 75 grand
pays $12,000 in federal taxes, and asked very simply, does that make sense? And Elon Musk,
watching from his phone, just posted one word, bravo. Guys, you knew it was a big moment because
it brought unity all over the internet. You had people from, I guess, left, middle, and right
saying, I can't believe I'm agreeing with him. That little voice in the head going, wait,
letting people keep their own money feels kind of nice. Now, over in California, the state that
mails out 38 million ballots and acts surprised when they don't all come home. President Trump
was asked about the L.A. mayor's race, and he said, look, California elections are so rigged,
and if Jesus Christ himself came down to count the votes, I would win the state. I mean,
have you seen how California counts votes? They take three weeks. A guy gets eight ballots,
his dog gets two. Honestly, after the third week of still counting, divine intervention
starts to sound like the efficient option. At least, it will probably be done by Sunday.
And finally, the big one. The Department of Justice formally indicted Raul Castro,
conspiracy to kill U.S. nationals. Going back to 1996, when the regime shot down two
unarmed rescue planes following by exiles looking for refugees in the water.
Four people died that day. For 30 years, nothing. And the White House statement was one line,
the United States and President Trump will not forget its citizens. You know, the socialists
love to tell us that America is the bad guy, that the regimes are the victims. But funny thing,
the boat in that story were only ever going one direction. People don't risk the ocean on a raft
to escape freedom. 30 years is a long time, but apparently the radar never turned off.
Just remember, the folks who love socialism the most are always the ones who've never had to live
in it.
