President Donald Trump hosted Chinese Communist Party leader Xi Jinping at the White House on Thursday. Reporters at the scene said Chinese state media fought White House staff and U.S. media over camera placement on the South Lawn before Xi arrived for talks.

Several Americans are urging Trump to confront Beijing over the decades-long persecution of Falun Gong practitioners as the summit kicks off. These American families have relatives detained in China and are being tortured and killed for practicing their faith.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu spoke at the United Nations General Assembly with many people seen leaving their seats before the start of his address. He said Israel has been fighting a seven-front war for the last three years.
