The 3 Musketeers—Sam, Will, and Jisung—reunite! After their respective vacations to Los Angeles and Mexico, the trio regroups, traveling through time to become movie stars!!
Sam finds his new calling—not only as an ace director, but also as a "tremblingly" stellar actor!
What trials and tribulations will these on-stage dynamos encounter when suddenly on camera for their film debuts? Catch the behind-the-scenes highlights!
Hey, welcome back, we're the 3 Musketeers!
And today, we're filming a movie!
Jisung is not here, but we don't need him for this.
I'm good.
He's here.
Yeah, this is the ride.
Hey, I'm with you!
We're Shinyoon Dancers,
and we're used to performing in front of thousands of people.
But acting and working with a professional film crew
is something we've never done before.
We're taking four days out of our vacation
to film with New Realm Studios in Toronto, Canada.
This is our first time on a professional movie set.
Join us and see what it's like to be a movie actor.
3, 2, 1, action!
The film is called Once We Were Divine,
and it's the third film in a series.
We'll leave a link below to the previous two films.
So we just came back from Cancun,
and I had one day in Toronto before we're starting filming right now.
And I was honestly pretty nervous
until I put on this costume and awesome hairpiece.
Right now, I'm outside the studio that Will is filming in right now.
He doesn't know I'm coming.
So I'm going to go surprise him.
Let's go in. I don't even know if I can get in, though.
Hey!
Oh, who is this emperor?
I feel so much better that you're here now.
We can actually vlog again.
When Sam wasn't here, I felt awkward.
I needed my Sam Poo here to film together with.
Clown.
Hello. Do you want to be on Three Months With Tears?
Today, we have Mei Li here.
She has a lot of scenes, okay?
So I'm looking forward to performing with you today.
Let's do it.
Like, comment, subscribe.
The universe will be ruined.
But I've experienced evolution.
Script's getting you, right?
The script is hard.
Is it easier to learn script or to learn dance movements?
For me, it's definitely a lot easier to learn dance movements.
Memorising script is not what I'm used to,
because usually we just have to move physically,
but now we have to actually express verbally what we want to say.
So it's different.
I'm scared that when I get nervous on set, it's going to be gone.
Super nervous right now.
Goodness gracious.
Oh my, I've never seen you this nervous before dancing.
Yeah, no, I'm not nervous for dancing.
Wait, what are you guys...
We're Buddhists.
Wait, but guys, it's your vacation right now, though.
Oh yeah, came to help out.
It's a bit easier for us to do it,
because we usually do it on stage,
so we kind of know what to do.
It's finally time to start.
We've been waiting all day.
A whole day.
Yeah.
How many hours?
12 hours.
Are you getting sleepy?
A little bit sleepy for me.
I'm hungry, actually.
Hungry and sleepy.
I feel a little bit more awake now the camera's on.
The normal workday on a feature film is at least 12 hours or longer,
out of which you may get 2-3 minutes of the finished movie shot.
Do not expect to do anything else on a day you are booked.
Ryan just finished everything.
I was trying to memorize my lines,
and he told me that you had to remember the logic and the story
instead of just remembering the script by itself.
Exactly.
Thank you so much.
Okay, congrats.
Congratulations.
Thank you.
It's been a long day, okay?
Alright, let's get out of our costumes and get changed, alright?
They took off my hairpiece.
And look at this, this is my hair right now.
Oh goodness.
It's like a helmet, it's hard.
Look at the sound.
It's scary.
I gotta go home and get some shampoo on this and get it off.
Good morning, everybody.
Today, I'm gonna take you through the day in the life of a movie star.
No, I'm just kidding.
I'm not a movie star.
Today is my first day of shooting on this movie,
and I'm gonna do the first thing on my schedule, and that is to run.
And why are you running in the morning when you have a movie shoot?
Well, that's because I am easily swollen in the morning.
I'm gonna work out right now, and I'm gonna head over later.
So, see you guys there.
I have just arrived.
A little bit nervous, actually.
I don't know what to expect.
These two days, we'll be doing a lot of green screen work.
It's gonna be a lot of having nothing around you
and just using your imagination to act.
I guess it's kind of like on stage.
We only have a backdrop and fellow dancers, so...
We have a famous dancer here, just stretching out.
You came here at what time?
9.30.
And you've been waiting since then?
Yeah.
So, I came into the makeup room and I saw Linzia stretching,
and I realized that I need to stretch, too.
I haven't stretched in a while because it's vacation.
So, each actor has a different call time,
and that call time means the time that you have to be here
for hair and makeup and costume.
I just finished makeup, got my costume.
Hey, Sam.
You look like the evil prince.
Gotta say, your headpiece looks really cool.
They let me pick it myself.
It's a dragon one.
Nice.
I need to finish my shot soon.
Okay.
Let's focus.
Let's get to it.
I thought I would be able to go directly and record.
I was just sitting there waiting for one or two hours.
That's actually the most tiring part.
It doesn't work like how we dance on stage.
In five minutes, everyone just does their thing.
Here, it's like different scenes,
and you may or may not have the scene.
There's a lot of waiting,
waiting for the cameras to move,
waiting for the lights to move.
I think the most tired right now is Will.
Will has the most scenes, and he has the most dialogue.
I don't have that many scenes,
and in the scenes that I do have,
there's not that much dialogue.
So, I'm actually okay.
You got a bubble tea break.
It's lunch break right now,
but there's some bubble tea.
We got like 100 bubble teas at least.
Gonna drink this and get some food right now.
I'm so hungry.
Right now, it is around 9 p.m.,
and I still didn't go on yet,
but I did change my costume.
With film acting, they go really close up.
You can see the minuscule expressions,
and on stage, though, you're really, really far away,
like here.
So, all you can really see is your movements, right?
That's a big difference between acting on stage
and acting in movies.
I'm having a lot of fun, though.
This is a really, really good experience.
I'm finally going on.
I'm super pumped.
Costumes are so cool.
I feel like I'm in a wuxia film.
After anxiously waiting for 12 hours,
Sam finally debuts.
Both Sam and I have always dreamed of acting in a movie,
so this whole process was really fun.
1.20 a.m. right now, Sam.
I'm just happy that I can perform, actually.
I've been waiting the whole day.
I can do this all night.
All right, nice sword.
It looks pretty cool.
It's like a lightsaber.
They put this on.
All right, Sam, I'm gonna go take off my makeup right now.
Okay?
No, don't leave me.
Bye-bye.
I just finished filming,
and right now it is 1.49 a.m.
I was here from 11 a.m.
Okay, to be honest, that was really fun.
I felt like a little kid in a theme park.
In the beginning, though,
there was a long period of time where I had nothing,
and I was just sitting there waiting,
and that was really tiring,
but once I got in, I was so excited.
I was so happy.
It was like my dream come true.
And then people were saying,
oh, you know, you worked hard.
Like, no, I love it here.
I don't mind, like, it's late.
It's my first time being an actor in an actual movie,
and it's tiring in a different way from dancing,
but it's super fun, and I love it.
Yeah, definitely, I'm ready for tomorrow,
and we'll see what tomorrow brings.
So I'm gonna drive back, I'm gonna get some rest,
and I'll see you guys tomorrow.
Day three of filming,
and we're starting by doing our hair.
Look at Sam's hair.
I'm just gonna leave this for the rest of my life.
What do you guys think of this hairstyle?
It's my dream hairstyle, guys.
The secret is that they glue long strips of hair
along our hairline,
and then tie it all up into a bun.
And then we put the crown on and secure it.
These bobby pins are stabbing my scalp almost.
I feel scary.
I'm done.
Thank you to this auntie.
Your hair is very puffy right now.
They put a sponge underneath there, right?
Sea cucumber.
It looks like a sea cucumber.
Sam is doing makeup over there.
He's gonna look pretty after that,
but he's already very pretty.
Even prettier.
So Will's costume changes, like, every, by the hour?
How many costumes do you have for the performance,
and how many do you have for this?
Performance, I have, like, 13, 14 costumes.
And for this, I have four or five.
I just met two fans here.
Allison and Emily.
You like the Musketeers?
Do you have a favorite Musketeer?
Jason.
Is it because he likes snacks just like Jisung?
Speaking of Jisung,
the last Musketeer was on vacation,
enjoying life and adventuring in Banff National Park,
until he finally decided to visit us.
This is so cool.
It's good to see you.
Oh, yeah, me too.
Me too.
Oh, you two look seriously a lot better with this.
We're here to visit and check out the set.
And to be part of this video.
He's been partying while we've been filming here.
And since Jisung decided to visit,
he got to play an extra in the film,
the Korean Taoist.
How is it?
I mean, it was very interesting.
It is my first time trying being part of the movie.
I think it should be okay.
Let's see if he can tell or not.
Today, we started at 12.
And after a few more hours of filming.
Cut.
Good take.
Right now it is 12.51 a.m.
In terms of shooting, it was better than yesterday.
But in terms of me, it was not better.
Because I actually had lines today.
And they were in Chinese.
I was screwing up so bad for the lines.
Like on the side, I had it fully memorized.
Once I got on the set and all the lights turned on,
my heart started thumping.
And then I started shaking.
And I'm telling you,
I've been dancing on stage for so long
and I haven't felt that in such a long time.
I haven't been that nervous.
So in the future, I'm humbled by this experience.
And I'm gonna try harder to remember my lines.
Tomorrow, we're shooting outside.
So that's gonna be interesting.
I'll see you then.
So we're shooting outside today.
They built this set.
It's really cool.
Because the past few days,
we were shooting on green screen.
But now we're actually at a real set.
How much detail we put into our environment.
We're making it look more real.
You're just vandalizing the set.
Yeah, nice hair, Will.
I like your hair.
Thank you.
Very different from what it's usually like.
