Hi guys thanks for 20k family I’m so grateful.
Here are the items I used for this diy
1. Tyer
2. Wood glue
3. 1 inch foam
4. Suede fabric
5. Drill
6. Circle mirror
So hi guys, welcome back to my channel, it's me Lucy aka Luman Taz back with another DIY
video.
So today guys, I'm going to start with this tire, like the title already said, I'm going
to be transforming this tire to a coffee table and I'm going to go ahead and apply this
glue all over the tire and so guys, hope you all are doing well, it's been a long time
since I posted on here and I know you all miss me and I hope to improve in so many things
and get more consistent.
So the next thing I'm going to do after applying all that glue is, I'm going to go ahead and
put a 1 inch foam all around the tire and I'm going to staple the 1 inch foam to the
tire for a stronger hold and a faster hold because if I keep waiting for the glue to
get dry, that might take a whole day.
So yeah, I just decided to staple it and to make it faster.
Guys, this is the fabric I'm using, it's more like a velvety, sweaty, leathery fabric, more
like the 3 of them combined together, I don't know.
So I'm going to just place it on my DIY and I'm going to start stapling it and yeah.
So guys, if you can remember from the title, we're trying to achieve a pleated effect here,
so in order to achieve that pleated effect, I'm not just going to staple this fabric on,
I'm going to fold and staple, fold and staple.
As you can see on the screen, yeah, that's exactly how I'm going to do it and as this
video goes on, you're going to also see other ways you can control the pleating or you can
achieve the pleating pattern, yeah.
So I didn't plan to use as much fabric for this project but as you can see, I had to
add extra because I kind of went overboard with the folding and I wasted a lot of fabric
because I kind of overdid the folding.
So guys, if you're going to make this, please don't over fold, just take it small and take
it slow with the folding.
Yeah, I ended up using about two and a half yards of fabric and what I intended to use
at the beginning was just two yards of fabric.
So yeah, as you can see, it's already turned out all fine and good, I'm going to continue
folding it till the whole fabric is gone.
So I'm going to move on to trimming off the extra fabric and trust me guys, this is a
whole lot of fabric I wasted.
I probably should have cut off the fabric to size before placing them on the tire in
the first place but however, today I went on and it turned out fine so no room for regrets.
So I'm going to attach this wood to the tire because I want a stronger hold for my mirror
when I put it and normally I would have just placed the mirror there but that won't be
a good look and it won't be a clean finish.
I'm going to do that for the front and the back and I'm going to turn it over and glue
my mirror to it and this is what it's going to look like when you're done.
And yes guys, this turned out really nice and I liked it and I hope you guys enjoyed
this video.
Thanks for watching.
