Well it's a new day we're back on the move again the hotel today is absolutely grea
Because we have breakfast it's the first time during the entire trip that breakfast is included so nothing
Let's make good use of the small buffet there it's not much but okay enough and let's take it
Energy for today which can be either very intense or very light because we have a couple of routes
Planned for the morning but we also need to check the condition of the snow and the mountain
because if there is a lot of snow and it's hard to walk then we will have to look for alternatives to search and vis
places in the area and since it's a bit quieter like yesterday to make stops with the car
But well we'll see as we start the day after breakfast
We had a small accident here this morning and it's that Alex made a beautiful toast
From here with cumber tomato and I had put a slice of salmon something happened to the salmon right
Look how delicious the coffee is look how delicious the salmon with coffee is
Hey maybe I've done some of this current cooking trend like building a salmon coffee
Test test let's see how it goes
A new day has begun we're already on the move well I've already made the entry and had breakfast right
Well we're here now we're in Fjorgar the little town where we're going to do a couple of routes
Depending on how the mountain's condition the snow and such
Initially here in Fjorgar as it is another typical little village of these houses
We will be waking up all the neighbors right now because otherwise there is always a brutal silence
Fjorgar as always because it has the word fjord in it as it is located next to a fjord
And here we will set up the Segla and Gesten routes which are located nearby
And in principle we should see those mountain views from somewhere from a point where it looks so beautiful with the fjord in the background
So nothing else let's see how the situation is
Here where the little house is the trail begins This
is the sign for the first part we are going Gesten two kilometers
This part you see here is the parking area
Similarly if you come in summer you can park in this area right at the entrance
But it's completely covered in snow right now so we had to park in the village
Take a look at where you can park don't park anywhere
Because almost everything is practically private property so you will park in someone's garage
We left it next to a couple of containers I don't think we'll bother anyone there
The weather forecast for the day: don't come in winter to hike the mountain without snowshoes
You can come without them in many hostels and tourist information points
They rent them out Rent them
Another tip for making these climbs is to take off layers of clothing
You can see that we usually wear big coats scarves hats and
such but when you walk up these hills your body gets so warm
A moment of existential crisis
You're wondering what we do in this life why we're here and
what the point is in continuing like this without a direction
It seems we are gaining altitude we are at 390 meters
This is the main peak Segla
It's a short while left The climb is tough especially because of the snow
It's the snow that makes it so complicated but well we are moving forward
We have roughly reached the top of the trail There is
a small peak there but I think it's pretty good here
Look at the views of Segla there's the little mountain Amazing
We're here about halfway between the two sides between the two fiords
Spectacular We are at 440 meters in altitude
I said the altitude of the path is tough especially because of the terrain
If you come at another time of year if you come with a racket it will probably be easier
Or if you come with more calm
But anyway the views as always are amazing
The easy path right Alex
So nothing else let's take a little rest
Let's take a look at the views a bit and see what happens
