A Tale of Reincarnation

Galloping across the battlefield,
My sword knows no emotion
An enlightened hint from a monk,
Dispels the mists of confusion

A brave female warrior stands undefeated in battle, until one day her life takes an unexpected turn. While fighting an enemy, the two tumble over a cliff. Miraculously surviving the fall, they encounter a Buddhist monk who helps them unlock memories of their past lives.
 
The two warriors discover that a past-life conflict is the real reason they became enemies in this life. Once they understand the causes and consequences of karmic relationships, they decide to follow the monk on a path toward spiritual cultivation and enlightenment. 

This piece, choreographed and performed by Fei Tian College students, ponders the same questions that preoccupied ancient philosophers of the East and West: Who am I? Where do I come from? Where am I going? If life is like a dream, we are so often lost in its ups and downs. How can we see through the illusions of life, and find true answers?
