We are exploring now in this video the second part of the exhibition Magie Baroque.
You may have seen part one, I will link it under this video if you didn't see it.
The exhibition is separated into two castles and now we are going to explore Le Chateau de
Valentinia which is a beautiful gem in Auvergne not very far from Clermont-Ferrand in the Volcano
part of France and it is really beautiful. So I hope you are going to enjoy this one and here
it's more artwork they are not big lighted displays or that it is still a place where
the Marquis de Valentinia lives so it's quite special when there is still the owner of the
castle who lives in the castle and his family they have owned the castle for a long long
long time from the beginning so it's all it has always stayed in the family.
And for this opening I also had the chance for once to meet some other artists who also
created some pieces for the exhibition or who
also had some pieces of them showed there. So there was the couple Pietsu and Pitakin.
They work together it's a couple they live not far from the two castles
and Pietsu she has a lot of her pieces her dresses she is a contemporary artist we could
say she worked with a lot of institutions and castles and showed her work in many many places
and she had right now or a collection of sculptures she has done in the town of
very close from the two castles and it was just good to meet artists from time to time.
I work in my studio in my little world so I'm not really in touch in person with many artists
and it was really nice to meet them and I really adore their work it's really really
magnificent what they do it's really worth seeing. And the other artist I also had a
chance to meet is Sebastien Simon and he's a light artist and he creates a lot of things
with lights and he has created two or three things at least two at Le Château de Parentinia
and I think he has created a few things also for
the room of the Spell, the Spell's room at Le Château de Villeneuve-Lambron.
At his wall there is a beautiful all painted colorful roman church so built during the roman
era before the gothic era during the medieval time so it's really really rare to see a church
with so many well preserved painted decors on the walls everywhere on the ceiling a bit a bit
like in the castle at Villeneuve. Totally worth seeing if you plan to come to see the two castles
to go and to have a stop at Histoire. So this video concludes our series about Alcina, Armide,
Le Château de Parentinia and Le Château de Villeneuve-Lambron. You are most welcome to visit
and to explore those beautiful castles till October 23, 2022 so you still have plenty of
time to come. I will put all the details of these two castles, the link to the other artists pages
and all the information you may need if you want to come. And I will also link the page of the team
of the exhibition, the curator and his team who have organized this one and the other one I worked
for too. They have started an Instagram page just very recently just to share updates
of all the exhibitions where they are traveling everywhere in France. I thank you very much for
your interest and for your kind messages and those who appreciated to see the first part
of the exhibition for those maybe who can't come but if you can come you have to come in person
it's totally different, it's really worth seeing. The screen doesn't give a good idea of how it looks
like in person so you really have to come if you come this summer. You can give a thumbs up if you
liked what you saw and I hope to see you very soon!
