养成3个好习惯:要事第一(远离手机),2分钟法则, 列出具体行动计划。
But there is one thing that I believe most people can do.
And this habit has indeed changed my way of life.
That is to put what you are most afraid of, most difficult, and most unwilling to do,
but also what you think you should do,
in the first thing you do every morning.
So usually I will put the most difficult and most exhausting thing for me,
which is writing a script, in the first thing I do in the morning.
I found that as long as I can successfully control myself to sit here and start writing,
But if the first thing I do when I get up is to turn on my phone,
and browse all kinds of information and social media,
no matter how early I get up, I will play for a long time.
Sometimes I will even get more and more sleepy, and then go back to sleep.
The whole process is like setting a chocolate cookie for yourself in advance.
When you get up, you don't have enough self-control to do difficult things.
So if you want to improve your efficiency all day,
the first step is to get up every day and don't turn on your phone first.
You can put your phone in a place far from the bed before going to bed every day,
and change to an ordinary alarm clock.
This not only allows you to get up quickly,
but also ensures that you will not be affected by any chocolate cookies before you do the first thing.
The second method I often use is called the two-minute rule.
Because usually when we want to do a difficult and complicated thing,
you will have a resistance psychology, and then delay or even completely give up.
Then you can divide this thing into a small task that can be completed in two minutes.
For example, if you want to start working out,
you can set yourself a goal of two minutes.
If you want to learn English, then the goal can be set to one word.
If you want to develop a habit of reading, then the goal is to read one page before going to bed.
When I start writing a script,
I tell myself in my heart that I only need to write one sentence.
Its principle is that when you divide a complicated thing into simple tasks,
it is easier to start acting.
Because our inspiration, motivation, and action are not one-way,
but a process of interweaving.
When you start from the action first,
you will often have more inspiration and motivation to keep going.
The third step that can successfully help you complete this thing
is to write what you want to do the next morning on a piece of paper in advance.
Not only write the name, but also write the time, location, and specific plan.
Because in the process of writing a specific plan,
you have already predicted the situation and problems that are about to happen in your mind,
which greatly reduces the difficulty in actual action.
This method is called practical imagination in psychology.
Combining the two-minute rule, we can write
I want to be in the gym for two minutes at 8 a.m. tomorrow.
At 9 a.m. tomorrow, I will start with the letter A on the sofa and write a word.
At 11 p.m. tomorrow, I will take out a new book on the bedside and read it all night.
At 9.30 a.m. tomorrow, I will write a script for a new video.
When we determine the time, location, and specific content,
I believe that the vast majority of people can easily complete it.
Everyone knows that whether you want to learn a new thing or challenge yourself in a certain field,
we all need to spend a lot of time and energy.
After using this method,
I can feel that I have the ability to control myself to do something that I usually can't do.
Here, I want to challenge everyone.
In the next 30 days, spend 30 minutes every morning to do one thing that you think can improve yourself.
You can learn musical instruments, start running, and develop a habit.
No matter what it is, I believe that after 30 days, you will have a completely different feeling.
But then again, why do we do these difficult things?
It seems that whatever we do, we are pursuing chemical substances such as dopamine and endorphins.
Later, I learned that our nature is to desire progress and personal growth.
So when you are in the process of challenging difficult things,
although it is uncomfortable, you will no longer be anxious and have a strong sense of fulfillment.
Maybe this process is the real meaning of doing difficult things.
That's all for today's video. See you next time.
