Take back the human body! Not that long ago I had an entire cabinet full of products to put on my body. Now I practice a very simple, natural personal hygiene. I'm healthier and happier than ever before and spend a lot less money. For more tips and advice on natural personal hygiene go to http://robgreenfield.org/hygiene/

Oh hey there.
Welcome to the Teeny Greeny.
My name is Rob Greenfield and this is my off the grid, in the city, tiny house adventure.
I used to use all sorts of things like shampoo, conditioner, body wash, deodorant, you name
it, I had a cabinet full.
But now I practice a very simple, natural hygiene and today I'm going to tell you about
it.
It turns out that most of those products were completely unneeded for me, but it was hard
to get that message when multi-billion dollar corporations were pushing it on me every
day through advertisement.
So what do I do now to stay naturally fresh and clean?
I gave up showering over two years ago and instead just go for a swim in the ocean or
use the one gallon bucket bath.
Fresh air, water, and sun keeps my skin naturally healthy and kills all the odor causing bacteria.
I wash my hands using this Dr. Bronner's organic soap and this bottle will last me three to
six months.
I moisturize with coconut oil.
Typical lotions are made with petroleum byproducts and kill the beneficial bacteria on our skin.
I use essential oils for healing, relaxation, and a naturally good smell.
I brush my teeth with a natural toothpaste and I floss too.
And that's about it.
I used to have a whole cabinet full of stuff and now I can fit it all into my hands.
It's more about what I put in my body than on my body though.
Food is my medicine.
Eating a whole food, organic, plant-based diet keeps my body in tip-top shape.
Giving up alcohol was a game changer too.
My whole body seemed to function better after that.
This whole natural lifestyle has made me a lot healthier and saved me a ton of money
too.
