OUR FAMILY'S WEEKEND STAY AT DISNEY'S VERO BEACH WAS A LOT OF FUN

Good evening everybody. I hope you're having an awesome day. Today we are heading out to Disney's Vero Beach. Me and Shelly have previously stayed there before without the kids. This time we brought the kids. So we got Allie and Tanner with us. What's up buddy? We're almost there. We're coming over the bridge now and we're just gonna hang out and swim a lot. A lot. Yeah, real quick look at this view. That looks pretty out there and over there. So we'll be there in just a minute and get checked in. Oh there it is over there in the distance. Let's get going. And here we are at Disney's Vero Beach. Look how adorable the sign is right there. It's so great to be back in Vero Beach. Now last time we stayed here we were on the top floor and this is the inn building but this time we're staying in a villa one bedroom which is down the way. So the room's not quite ready yet but they gave us the key and it'll text me when it's time to go. Had to park on the road but normally you can park underneath the building. So this is our building here. The main building is over there. It's the inn. That's where the inn rooms are. This is where the one bedroom villa is gonna be. We're gonna go over. The family's already in the pool. I know it. My son loves swimming and then they got that cool water slide so let's go check it out. They were getting changed. They haven't gone in the pool yet but he's really excited about the lighthouse style water slide. What do you think mister? It's cool. Yeah. This is a DVZ resort so they have things like this. You gotta go inside to the DVC. I believe they're called houses and then you go in there and you check out your stuff. Yep. You just gotta show them your DVC membership stuff. Are you excited to be here today? We haven't even gone to the beach yet. So we're gonna go check out the beach. The surf report says it's gonna be three to four foot waves so it might be a little bit much for them but we're gonna go find out. While mommy and Allie get changed hopefully our room's ready in a couple minutes. I'm gonna go check that out. Yeah I want to check it out too. Somebody's having a wedding here. Oh that's adorable. You like it? That's cool. So the wind and the waves are good. Three to four feet. Don't touch that stick. Don't fall over. There's a nice like berm right here but we don't see any of the turtle points so um we'll still play in the ocean but there's maybe not too much right. I'll play in the ocean. One of Shelly's favorite spots is a hammock and you can see this is the main building here which I'm going back into because I just got a text saying I need to go talk to them about our room. No issues they just wanted me to come and confirm my card keys work before we head over to the room. 1424. We're gonna head up there now and check it out. Here we are at our room 1424. Check it out. We got a beautiful courtyard with some giant plants. Very pretty. Check out the card key. I love that. You know what I love about like Disney Resorts is like the ridiculousness of this room. So I came through turned all the lights on already so I gotta come over here. We got H2O products in a stand-up shower. Your toilet area right. You got a standalone tub. I did a whole room tour so if you guys want to check that out I'll put a link in the description below. I do room tours of every resort we always stay at at least once. Check that out. It's so cool. This is the one bedroom right. So there's the bedroom and you come back out here into this massive living room. This is like the quick pan around. Like I said really in-depth detailed on the other video. Then we come out to the deck out here. You can see tons of room. Four chairs. Perfect for my family. We got four people. We got great views of the air conditioner down below but just the pool and everything is on the other side of the building. Very cool. I parked right there. Super convenient location and there's only one floor above us so not bad. I like it. Very nice. Now let's get back out there and go play with the kids at the pool. One of the cool things about Vero Beach is the pup-pup course and it's themed like Halloween right now. Super cool. Sure Tanner want to do that later or tomorrow morning and then there's songs by the fire later tonight at 8 30. Pretty sure Allie's going to want to do that. Whatever Shelly tells me we got to do. I got the GoPro. I'm going to have Tanner. Tanner's currently up on the slide right now. He's next in line to go down so I'm gonna go join him. Do some fun stuff like that. How's the pool? Good. It's kind of cold. It feels really good. I know. I mean that feels good. Like cooler than we're used to. Yeah. So Tanner's been what on the water slide like a hundred times now? Yeah he made friends with playing tag. Oh they're playing tag on the water slide? Yeah. Very cool. We played over in the little splash pad. Oh yeah. Allie made a little friend. Oh yeah? That's awesome. This is definitely a more tame resort. Yeah. Like you're not like in a rush to go anywhere. They do have some mini golf course. Yeah. They have bikes that you can rent. Oh yeah they do have the bike rental and they have the beach. We haven't made it to the beach. Not today? Maybe tomorrow? I don't know. Yeah it's already 5 30. Do you want to go to the beach? Do you want to go to the beach? Are you playing on the ship? Are you having fun? Is that a big ship? She normally doesn't play in splash pads so it's a big deal right now. Is that fun? Yeah. Good. Good job. Almost there. Almost there. Yeah. Little Allie over here is having the best time. Are you having the best time? That's her shake when she does that when she's like yeah I'm excited. How about you Shelly? How are you doing? Good. Yeah having fun? Kind of cold. Kind of yeah. This week has been um lower in the temperatures and it's been great. Yeah. Yeah it's been good. And it's supposed to get cooler throughout this week. I kind of want to I want to go to the beach but I want to go out into the beach. Well we're gonna we and the kids are gonna go out there tomorrow. So I'm gonna go to the beach. Okay. Okay and then uh if I don't come back I love you. I brought my snorkel gear. Hi. Hi. See that excitement? Um otherwise Nat I don't think we're just gonna do the quick service. Yep. Quick service food tonight and we're gonna do the fire pit at 8 30. So I'm gonna go out there. I gotta get going now. I'll miss you. Yeah she doesn't miss me. Just showered up got all cleaned up because uh that was dangerous. Not my finest moment in the ocean. I'll tell you what um I got hit so hard with the wave my mask and everything went off. I thought I lost it because it hit me so hard um it was gone. I was just like well I guess I lost that. Luckily found that and I was like determining you know maybe we shouldn't play in this. So hopefully tomorrow it's a little smoother but I just checked the the weather report for tomorrow. Not looking any better. We're now gonna get food. It's seven o'clock so we're gonna get some food. We're at Linden Waves Market. That looks great for $3.79. That's a deal. Look at this chocolate muffin at $3.79. Uh chocolate salted cookie and s'more. Those are $5. Those look really good. I'm definitely impressed with these snacks already. A whole roll of gouda cheese for $6.99. There we go. What are we getting tonight? What do you see on that menu you want? I want chicken strips. Okay. I don't know. Last time I got the salmon which was really good but I was still hungry. They got a Dole Whip cup. They have Dole Whip here? Yeah. Well we're gonna have to get that. Look at that you can get your fix of churros and a Mickey pretzel here. That's awesome. Um oh they have dome cakes for $39.99. That looks good right? Yeah. Chocolate tanner? Yeah. Here's tonight's dinner specials. Beef and jerk chicken, pot pie, bread bowl. Uh I think I'm just gonna get the chicken strips and fries also. Okay. How's your little mini vacation going so far Shelly? It's not going too bad. Yeah the kids are doing okay. I like I like Vero. Um I got ruined in the ocean. I lost my mask and everything. I found it but. Ali do you having fun? She just loves getting out. This guy is angry because he wants ice cream now right? No. What is it? Nothing. What do you want? He's tired. Ali doesn't want ice cream. Yeah. Hi Ali. Ali just wants to ride rides huh? The lighting here for the sea turtles is really weird like it's very orange so like at night it's kind of a weird glow here but it's for the uh wildlife. Is it cool? I'm trying to get him to respond. He's he's tired. All right here we go. We got chicken strips. We got barbecue sauce. Shelly's salad and we got more chicken strips with ketchup. You guys hungry? Yeah let's eat. We're about to get dessert but we're negotiating with the an eight-year-old over here trying to figure out what we're gonna do. Um this is the the part of you know taking kids. You got your your two-year-old over there just having a ball of the time. Hey Ali come show me your flower. Come show me your flower. I picked it after. They see it. No turn around. Turn around. Wow that's so pretty. She's having a great time. He's overly tired so he yes he's all grumpy right now. That's part of like vacations with kids. They just. Shelly how do you explain it? Uh they want to be on their schedule and do whatever they want to do. Whenever they want to do. Yeah even though like little one over here is just having a ball of the time and she wants to go to sing at the campfire and he wants to go back into the pool. We've been in the pool for what three and a half hours? No. Yeah we have. We got in the pool about three-ish and we just got out of the pool at seven. That's not three hours that's four. Well no we didn't go in the pool. Okay see he's in argument mode because he's tired. So uh Shelly's gonna go inside get us some desserts. We're gonna get surprised Shelly. Shelly surprise us with desserts. Don't tell me what you're getting and then we'll see it when it gets out here. What did you get? Okay so can I see? All right we got a Nemo inflatable beach ball. Didn't need that. A dole whip. What a surprise. What's that? This is um Mickey. Oh look at that. What is this Shelly? That's a Mickey whoopee pie. A Mickey whoopee pie? And what is this? It's my cupcake. What is this cupcake right here everybody? Oh that actually looks really good. Um chicken tenders and the fries were really filling. I mean for the price to like how full we are right now. Definitely worth it. How was your salad? It was really good. That was huge. It was a huge super fresh delicious. It was only ten dollars. Yeah I think my phone thing after tax and everything our total was like 30 four. Yeah I think it was like 34 but it was definitely like everybody's full kind of because we're having dessert now. Oh yeah? See that? He went from he went from sad to oh my gosh Shelly. I didn't know it was that big. Oh no. So um yeah we'll have some dessert and then it's 7 49 right now and we got 8 30. We are going to the campfire. The lighting gives you such a weird look. Yeah um the wind is blowing so hard you can smell the seawater up here through the all the bush like a bunch of trees and bushes right here. Smells great. We're gonna go to the room real quick get everybody ready for the campfire sing-along stories and stuff. You can go out there look how dark that is. Somebody please come with me. All right let's go real quick. I know you can't see a whole lot but there is a lot of stars you can see tonight. The reason I keep it that dark is so the sea turtles. There's little signs and placards everywhere about the sea turtles. Finally got the family into the room. What do you think sir? No? See that? That's that's a grumpy kid right there. Allie what do you think? What do you think pretty princess? Oh yeah I love the flower. Huh? What? Are you trying to figure your way around? Yeah I went I thought I was going in the kitchen. I went to the bathroom or the bedroom. Look at this. It's pretty cool. I love the setup of this room. I did like I said in the room tour description down below um we go in depth on everything but it's nice. Yeah it's super nice. Yeah it smells good. The only thing I'm really excited about in the future on our future stay here is we're not going to stay here again until we get a beach cottage. They're huge but yeah you can see everybody's happy about that except him. Look at that sad face. We're gonna zoom in on the sink. It's one bedroom. Oh no it's one bedroom? Yeah. He is so smile. Yeah he was like oh I can't believe there's only one bed in this room and there's only one toilet like yeah so all right we're gonna get all wrapped up. We have about 15 minutes until campfire. It's a real campfire. It's not um natural gas so they are trying to soak the fire right now. Who here would rather have fruits and vegetables instead of s'mores? No one? No one? I see a couple hands out here right? So what I'm gonna ask is that everyone can stand up for me so that everything that I say and do you say and do also. We're gonna form the orange. Form form the orange. Now peel the orange. Peel peel the orange. Now squeeze the orange. Squeeze squeeze the orange. Form the corn. Form form the corn. Now shuck the corn. Shuck shuck the corn. Now pop the corn. Pop pop the corn. With the lightsaber in my hand. I'm gonna be like Kylo Ren. Kylo Ren. Superman. Michael Jordan. Jackie Chan. Chevy Van. Pizza Man. I want to be a pizza man. That was some pretty awesome sing-alongs. Was that pretty cool Taylor? What about Kylo Ren? Yeah that was cool. Yeah I loved the first part of it. It was so random. Now it's time for marshmallows. So we are yeah and then they just yell. Yeah so they did a whisper part and then everybody started and then they did it loud. So we're gonna get marshmallows. We're gonna do that. Sounds like the kids want to do that. What do you think of sing-alongs? It was cute. Yeah they're still trying to get the fire going as you can see the fire is uh I think the wood's bad. So the family decided not to roast the marshmallows just to eat them. You can see Ali got it right there but look at this hammock right here. They are just. Are you guys having fun? No we can't sleep out here but if you shut the light off you'll see how dark it is and then there's just nothing but darkness. It looks great though and stars. Now you do have some trees above you but it's pretty nice. What do you guys think? Yeah you love it? Awesome. They hung out in that hammock for over 35 minutes. That's how much they loved it. We're in the room now and you can see we got Mickey Mouse going on there in the background. We're gonna start giving everybody their showers and baths to get rested up for the night. We still have plenty of dessert so we got something to eat later. Let's see. Oh look at this. Oh what's up? I'm gonna have this while I go watch the rest of the Mariners play the baseball game in the 16th inning and I think I think that's it. We'll find out in a minute. The Mariners are losing one to zero in the 18th inning. Come on guys. All right I think that's it for the night. I think everybody's gonna go to sleep now. It's getting late but we are gonna don't leave. We're gonna continue on in the morning. Everybody ready for bed? You guys are all rubbing your eyes. Don't lie to us. Huh? We're playing with bubbles in here? Oh my gosh. All right everybody we will see you guys in the morning. Morning everybody. Me and Tanner slept in the uh the pull-out couch. One of the most comfortable pull-out couches we slept in but my arms still went numb while I was sleeping so that was a little bummer but otherwise than that pull-out couch was pretty good. No bar in your back or anything. Allie and I slept in the bed anyways. Either way we're gonna go get breakfast now. Allie got some bubbles? Yeah. She is ready to roll. Tanner you up? Yeah he's not. He's not up. He's pretty tired still. He stayed up until almost one last night. Um I was editing a video while we were. Oh the temperature outside is nice today. I know. Allie and I sat outside for like 30 minutes. Yeah? It was so nice. Yay. Yay. All right let's go figure out what we're doing for breakfast. So we're gonna eat at Wind and Waves Grill but uh they said not until about 10 o'clock. So we're gonna come into this room. They have xbox and playstation in here. Yeah there's an xbox and playstation this whole time. And then oh good cannonball and then there's a spa over here. There's actually a lot of fun things to do at this resort. Um last night we didn't do a whole lot because I just wanted to swim. Would it be a stop at a Disney resort without going to the gift shop? Got some Halloween merch as soon as we entered. Just like at the parks. Let's pair a jersey here. A Disney Vacation Club member. I've never seen this before. That's pretty cool. This is why you don't bring your wife into the gift shop because now I'm buying a sweater. Why are you buying this? It's because Disney does zip up hoodies. Usually only has zip ups. This is actually a hoodie. Yeah so yeah so now I'm buying a sweater. A lounge fly that I've never seen. Shelly it's a lounge fly I've never seen. It's a Vacation Club lounge fly. Very cool. How much is this bad boy? Uh this one's 80 and then I have Vacation Club ears. Uh oh I'm gonna have to get out of here. What about this hat? How do you look in this hat? There we go. Yeah there we go. Those are adorable. Good collection of lounge flies and not a very good collection of ears. Only a couple. Of course I have the DVC ears and they have a DVC blanket. Member blanket for $64.99. Oh hi princess. Oh we can't buy everything. Magic band pluses. Regular and then they have a DVC magic band plus right here. $44.99 for this one. I've not seen that one before. And then I do these really custom pins here. Same member on them. And then of course the standard magic bands which are $19.99. That was expensive. Um he got sunglasses. Show us your sunglasses sir. Pretty cool. He got storm trooper glasses. Allie got a pail. A Nemo pail. Shelly got her sweater. Allie got two cars. And what else did we buy? Uh they got two rice pits. And then we got some trees. Vacations are so expensive. Trying out this uh water here and uh I'm good. Dude that's weird. I think it's got lime. Uh let's see what else is in there. Uh lime, lemons, oranges, grapefruit. It's a weird combo. Look at these kids. Shelly is in her happy place. When we went to Castaway Cay for the very first time I don't think you moved from the hammock the whole like eight hours we were on the island. Oh you touched the water for a minute. Yeah. We ate some food. Um so they're gonna hang out here. I need to go to the room. I gotta get it packed up because breakfast will probably go into 11 and we need to be checked out. So you guys stay right here. Wait are we gonna swim? Right here and I'll be right back. I didn't even get a chance to pack anything. We already got the call back already. We'll figure this out. Um we might have to go ask for like an extra hour on the checkout because yep didn't finish that at all. This is one of the best resort menus I have seen in a while. First you got the breakfast burrito and biscuit sandwich. Hawaiian style loco moco for you know an omelet. Key lime stuffed waffles. Apple pie pancakes. You can see they got mickey waffles in here. There's a mickey waffle, strawberries, berry compote, pecans or bananas served with bacon and sausage or sausage like you know like that. And then today there's this is the specials banana foster french toast. I'm gonna get that because it comes with a scoop of ice cream on it and that sounds pretty good. Comes with your choice of bacon or sausage too for $14. Tanner says he's going to get the french toast there with bacon. We're also going to get the breakfast bread which you can see comes with cinnamon roll, buttermilk biscuit, blueberry muffin, and a croissant. And Shelly's getting the eggs benedict you said? All right. Should be good. We were so hungry we forgot about those. Show you guys the bread. So we got the blueberry muffin. We got french toast and cinnamon roll. Oh look at the guy. Shelly's got the eggs benedict. That looks pretty good. You want this one? You want a banana? Okay. And what? You want one of these? This one? This one? Oh and orange. There we go. And yeah this looks pretty good. This is the banana one. I'm pretty excited about that. There's also a buttermilk biscuit and the croissant is half gone. Otherwise the food's been amazing so far. How was your breakfast? It was delicious. I ate every single bite. The banana pancake glazed and it was like the so I was looking for the ice cream. It was like in this little tray normally you dip your sauces in. So it was like a shot glass of ice cream. Yeah. Uh Tana really didn't like his french toast. Yeah. Oh she's ready to go play in the sand. Overall I think breakfast was really good. I liked it. You do get to use your DVC discount there. Oh that's 10% you know. Pretty cool. Um their menu was. Yeah their menu is awesome. Their serving sizes were huge. If you don't know me I don't really like breakfast items but that place was. I'm ready to go back there. I want to try out their like their Mickey waffle covered in strawberries and. Oh yeah. Yeah. Oh dinner. Yeah after having the breakfast I'm really excited for their dinner. But we'll have to do that um when we stay at the beach cottage. Is that what it is? Yeah. Well we have to leave the room now. It's a little 11 15. We made it before our 11 30. The room was awesome. Obviously we kind of leave a mess because we always use the pull-out bed. Uh love the artwork. Again this room is massive. It's like the size of our apartment. I feel like. It feels like that. Uh very squishy bed. I thought it was gonna be too soft. It was perfect obviously because Shelly slept in it and she feels great today. My back hurts. The mattress out there. A little firm and then I took a shower in here with the great H2O products. Smells so good and it was very refreshing. All right we're gonna go to the beach now. He didn't want to go to the beach. Now he's playing in the beach. And Allie normally doesn't play in the sand and now Allie's playing in the sand. Yeah I think uh it's pretty nice. Obviously the waves are just as bad as they were yesterday. So I'm not going to attempt to go out there and uh go for it. But I think we're just gonna play at the beach for a little bit and call it a day. Oh we're going back to the pool. Oh wait till we have the breakdown later. When the kids are tired and need a nap that's usually when we leave right Shelly? Yeah. They start screaming and hollering. Ah look at this fish over there. Playing a little ping pong before we head out. We spent over two hours. It's almost almost two o'clock. We went to the ocean. Me and Tanner got barrel rolled in some waves and the waves are no better than were yesterday. And now he's mad because we're leaving. But we're playing ping pong late. We never got a chance to play mini golf. There's a lot of cool stuff like in the lobby they have a puzzle. They have the what the xbox and playstation. Yep they have the community center. Yeah there's there's a lot we don't do on these trips. We need to make them longer. I know uh they had like a toddler treasure hunt that we didn't get to do. They play bingo and all sorts of stuff. Bingo I love bingo. Tonight they have the movie on the lawn. Yep and it's going to be in Kanto. Yep but now it's time to go and you can see Allie is throwing a fit. Tanner come on dude. You see that. I mean I get it Disney Resorts you know they are are the best to stay at but um we went past her nap time and he just wants to keep swimming. So we'll see how long it takes us to get to the car. Allie's screaming a storm back there. Oh come on mister. Come on we'll leave you here. Come on. We would never leave him here but he was true. He would love to stay here. Well I think the kids enjoyed their stay at the park. Did you guys enjoy your stay? Allie did you have fun? She was so happy being here that she's now super sad. What about you Tanner? Yeah.
