Hey guys, so in today's video we are going to be doing another driver and car interview and you
know car walk around and today's interview is a little bit special because it belongs to my
Instagram friend Natsumi. We've been connected on Instagram for the past few years and we kind of
always meant to hang out and like you know do like a car like collaboration but you know we just
never got around to it and today is actually kind of a special if kind of a little bit setsunai day
because today is her last run with her car and it's behind me it is that white Honda Civic Type
R EK9 and so let's go ahead and meet Natsumi-san and she speaks a little bit of English so we'll
try to encourage her to say a few things so we'll get into the interview after the intro. Hey I'm
I came to Japan as an English teacher then moved near Tokyo to pursue my passions. I became a
filmmaker because I love cars, Japanese culture, and a good story. I'm lucky enough to live the
JDM dream and so my videos are about my car life in Japan where I go to car meets and visit shops,
do track days and toge runs, build and review cars, and shoot vlogs, short films, and documentaries
about Japan's car culture and history. Join me and my friends on our adventures and find out what
it's really like in the land of the rising sun. So hop in, fasten your seat belts, and enjoy the ride.

Hello. Hello. Hey nice to meet you. Nice to meet you. Finally. So what's your name? I'm Natsumi.
So nice to meet you Natsumi-san. Nice to meet you.
For you guys who are just watching the video, yoroshiku onegaishimasu means something like
please look after me. It's one of those phrases that's very difficult to translate
and in this video and future videos I'll try to teach you guys a little bit of Japanese in each
video. Let's take a look at Natsumi-san's car. It's mine. It's yours.
So how long have you had this car? Eight years. Eight years.
Asa I got my work to drive my car and one car is sounds so good. VTEC sound. I'm shocking.
So this is actually Natsumi-san's first car and she bought it eight years ago right? Eight years ago.
I bought it. Wow. So first car, it's been your baby for eight years.
For you, what is the special parts of this car? First, how do you say ekimani in English?
Ekimani port. Ekimani port and muffler and foot pedal cover.
And I changed this S tires. S tires, track tires. R888R. Oh, Toyo. And this leather is special.
Why is it special?
Oh, wow. From the factory or from the shop? Factory. Factory. Wow.
And what, what wheels are these?
OZ Rally?
NK is very, very light.
Is this, is this Junsei? Yes, normal parts.
Oh, the tow hook, yep.
Oh, nice.
Yeah, it sounds really good. This is a Zenki, Zenki model.
Can you turn on the engine?
All right, let's hear how it sounds.
It has a really nice Mugen sound that's a little bit more throaty than stock,
but not like a rice can. It has a really nice OEM plus sound.
Can we see the interior? Oh, can I sit beside? All right.
All right. Oh, okay. Oh, yeah, this is important.
Oh, yeah, I love the sound of the doors of the Civic closing.
Even though it's like a 23-year-old car, it still sounds really, really good.
Yes. Wow. Now we are inside your, your lovely EK9.
It's very important for VTEC.
Can you turn on the meter? Oh, is it on?
Oh, yeah, it looks so good. All red, that Type R, red.
Yes. Yeah, me too, me too, me too.
And this is the Zenki model, so the Zenki model doesn't have the two DIN,
it just has the one DIN. What kind of music do you listen to?
Oh, look at that.
Yeah. So what kind of music do you listen to?
Music? Yeah.
Look at that, that's those, those JDM soundtracks.
What is Nashi no Hi? What is Nashi no Hi?
Oh, really? Today's Pear Day?
I don't know. July, July 4th? July 5th?
Oh, of course. Okay, okay, okay. That makes sense.
July 4th is actually a, you know, happy Independence Day to all you folks in the
States. But apparently here in Japan, it's Pear Day. So, yeah.
Today, for America. I'm not American, though.
But everybody who's watching,
thank you. Okay, oh, so what music do you listen to?
Music? Yeah.
What music do you like?
Oh, what music do you like?
Uh, first, I drive to, we're in Nervous.
Okay, that, that's awesome.
Everyone will be happy. Oh, she really loves Eurobeat.
Do you like Initial D? Yes, I like Initial D.
Like, where do you like to drive this car?
Where do you like to go?
Oh, oh, it's an official. I see, I see, I see.
Oh, thank you. This is awesome. Oh, we should stop this. Can we stop?
Stop. Yep, stop. Thank you.
Do you want to drive, like, um, like, drive one more time in Yokohama Loop?
Okay. Um, maybe.
Oh, okay. Like, your last run?
Last run. Yeah.
To go? Yeah.
Okay. Okay.
I think so.
There's the one part at Yokohama Loop, I get lost right at the beginning,
so if we don't get lost, it's okay. Okay.
Okay, okay, okay.
Okay, okay.
I almost forgot to mention, I have some new merch on the merch store.
This is actually the perfect video to introduce it
and announce to you guys that it is now available for purchase.
It's the Hype-R hoodies, so, yeah, it's, uh, you know, of course, based on Type-R,
so it's pretty sick.
I also have one more present for Asumi-chan.
We also have the Hunter selfie tag, so let me just give this to her.
A present for you.
Here you go.
Thank you.
Perfect.
Thank you.
Okay, guys, so we're gonna go for a drive around the Yokohama Loop.
Hope you guys enjoyed that little mini video.
Let's finish up our interview here with Natsumi,
and we'll ask her about some of her future plans after she sells this car.
Arigato gozaimasu.
How was your last run?
So, guys, I really hope you enjoyed this little special feature.
You know, really, here in Japan, of course, we love the JDM cars,
but behind the cars, it's the people that make these cars special.
Here in Japan, like, the last run is very special with your car.
It's kind of like your last memory with the car.
So actually, Natsumi just called me out randomly today,
and I was like, yeah, you know what?
It's her last run.
Let's make a special video.
