We cannot look towards a new era, without reflecting on our history. 100 years ago Count Louis Zborowski piloted TT1 - nicknamed 'Green Pea' - our first Grand Prix car in the 1922 French GP.
A century later, 4x Formula 1 Champion, Sebastian Vettel, took Green Pea for a historic lap of honour.

We're celebrating the 100th anniversary.
Since 2021, Aston Martin is back in Formula 1, back on the grid, and the whole team has
the immense sense of pride to be carrying the badge representing Aston Martin.
The car behind me is a car known as Green P. It started life in 1922 as the first ever
Aston Martin Grand Prix racer.
Grand Prix racing back then was very different to modern day Grand Prixs.
To start with, there were two seats in the car because you had to have a driver and a
riding mechanic.
During the race, the mechanic's job was to pressurise the fuel system.
But not only that, there weren't pit stops like we have today.
When the cars came in, the mechanic had to get out, put the fuel in the car, and he was
responsible for fixing it if it broke down.
The amount of attention that the cars gained in the media of 1922 really helped cement
the reputation of the company and the brand Aston Martin.
And really, Aston Martin's always been about competition and motor racing, and that really
got underway in a much more spectacular way in 1922 with this car.
It's going to be very, very special.
I mean, first of all, it's great to know that this car is still alive, it still runs and
in such good shape.
The car is now about 100 years old.
It's crazy to imagine how long it's been around, but great to see that it's still there, and
I'm very much looking forward to get behind the wheel.
It's great to be part of such a special story.
There is obviously a lot of history when it comes to the brand.
It's also what I feel inside the team, mechanics, engineers, everybody who's involved is very,
very proud.
It's not only great cars, it's a great brand, and it's great people in the end of the day.
