Quickly finding out this car has seen better days, sitting in a junkyard, parts pulled off, and just about on the edge of seeing a scrapyard. Lance steps in and brings this Isetta home.

I received a message from a Facebook friend last night telling me that he
might have found a lead on a BMW 600. If y'all remember on our previous episode
we had found a BMW Isetta 250. What this 600 is is it's just a little bit
bigger version of that 250. It had a side door on it where you could
enter from the side of the car or the front of the car.
I've read up a little bit on these things and the Isetta being rare in
itself. The 600 they only made about 30,000 of
them compared to the over 200,000 of the 250s.
So of course we were interested. We took off and come over here to see what he
had. It looks to be kind of a project vehicle
for sure. A lot of stuff's been robbed off of it. Probably was a parts car for
somebody. But definitely something that we can use.
I know there's someone out there that's looking for this thing
so we're definitely going to snatch it up and bring it back to the shop.
The guy has a lot of really cool projects around here. A lot of stuff you
don't see out of the ordinary like old Javelin.
He's got a lot of old Chevy cars. 55, 57 old cars here. Some old Bel Airs. Some
210s. A lot of stuff that's got some really
cool patina on them. But a lot of once again a lot of these
things have been used for parts cars over some time.
But he told us to kind of look through them see if there was anything else we
might be able to to do something with. So right now
we're just going to kind of go through here. Look everything over.
See if there's something that we might be able to use and just offer him a
price. This is a pretty cool old Mercury wagon.
It's got awesome colors on it as well. The bad thing about these big old cars
is a lot of times the interiors are trashed in them. This one isn't too bad
but it just costs so much to get the insides redone on these things.
Really cool colors. Don't know if this car is for sale but definitely something
that's pretty cool in up our alley. This old Studebaker is a really cool car.
I love the front end design on these things. It just almost looks like a
missile coming at you or something. It would be a really neat car to fix up
but it looks like the something's obviously fell on this roof
at some point in time. Maybe a big old tree or something.
Would be a lot of work to get this car back up on the road again.
But I definitely hate seeing it sitting out here and it's definitely something
we might consider as well. This 57 Chevy is actually really solid.
A lot of times you find these old cars they're really just damaged all the
pieces and just rusted out. It's really solid on the exterior of
this car. The interior needs a lot of work as most of these things do.
It is a four-door car which to me it doesn't make it any less cool.
I love the colors on it. I love the blue and the rust.
One thing about a 57 Chevy is that my sister is fascinated by them right now.
So I think this would be a really cool car for us to try to pick up
bring back to the shop see if we can't get it going. So I think we're going to
snatch this thing up.
