2020 Nardo Grey BMW M340i Individual - 1 of 1 Car | Joe Achilles |

Hey guys, how's it going? Welcome back to another video. I just want to say a massive shout out and thanks to everyone for the support I've had in 2020 so far. The numbers have been going crazy, I can't believe that I've just passed through 80,000 subscribers. I remember when I struggled to get to 1,000 and that was such a sort of milestone for me. I remember it like it was yesterday but I remember getting up to that 1,000 was painful and slow and hard work and and it's continued to be hard work but the numbers are rising really nice and fast at the moment and it just encourages me to do more and more content and edit throughout the night, hence my really tired eyes. Some of you might recognize where I am, I'm down at TRL Towers, Tony Lewis, Barry BMW and Hito and I'm down here to talk about yet another M340i and once again a bit like that Verde Hermes Touring that I looked at a couple of months ago, we have another individual car behind me. Can anyone guess what color it is? Yes, that's right, it's Audi's Nardo Grey and I know I've just done a video on the RS7 saying that Nardo Grey does look best on RS Audis but I have to say this looks particularly special and in fact I posted a picture of this very car on my Instagram probably about two or three weeks ago and it is one of the most liked pictures I've ever put on and for good reason, it just looks stunning. I think the Nardo Grey and the black contrast so well and the fact that this paintwork is on the mighty M340 makes it even more special. As mentioned, I do want to thank Tony Lewis and Barry BMW for letting me have their space and use their cars as always. These guys have always supported me and I do shout them out all the time but I can't be thankful enough. Make sure you do drop Tony Lewis a line using the email in the description below if you want a quote on any BMW whatsoever, doesn't have to be an M340 or an M car, he sells pretty much everything and in fact behind the camera are a number of very nice cars that he's got lined up for customers coming to collect throughout March and in fact I have got Mr Tony Lewis here so he is going to join me in two seconds to do a quick walk around of this car because aside from the paintwork this is actually about a £60,000 car on the road. These base are about £48,000 so it has got some nice options on it, we'll just have a look through what it has got, maybe options that you should look at getting on your 3 Series or on your M340 and other options that might be a bit excessive and things maybe you should leave alone but I think this particular spec on this car is pretty damn tasty. This one's sold as well so I'm not even trying to plug the car, it's already gone but I just want to showcase really that I think these individual cars are just, they're brilliant. The Verde Hermes car that we had on recently, I saw in the comments there's a few people saying oh why would you spend that much on a paintwork if you're getting a PCB deal etc etc but I think the whole thing of having an individual car or colour for me anyway is being individual, you know standing out from the crowd a little bit in a world full of PCPs where everyone's got grey and white and black cars, fair enough if that's your thing then great but if you can afford to pay that little bit more on your monthly or if you're buying it outright then why not go for something that is just that bit more special and individual, it really is individual. Right let's get Mr Tony Lewis over here so we can have a walk around of this car. Hey everyone. How's it going mate? Yeah really good, really good. Nice, thanks for inviting me down here and showing me yet another lovely individual car. Yeah I've got a bit of a habit of ordering these up at the minute, I'm not sure the boss, the boss is happy when they're selling, let's put it that way. Yeah well they're causing a bit of a stir on the internet, I mean I think that Verde Hermes car was shared across quite a few forums around the world so yeah but then yeah if Wayne's paying for it then it's probably not. He's like as long as they're selling I don't mind but you know there is a risk involved with it because as you say it's the price you know individual paint comes at three price levels, there's the normal individual paint you can get like on the system if you log on to any BMW there's normally two or three colours for like anywhere between 900 to 1100 pounds yeah but then there's two more levels of individual paint that you can order which is paint to sample and that's only available on some of the range it's not on every single car so for instance you can get it on three series and five series yeah but you can't get it on the one series and two series because that factory don't allow that paint to be put on their cars they haven't got the facility for it so you know it does work out a bit expensive but anywhere from two and a half to four and a half thousand pounds so this is the the high high-end stuff this is special paint sample BMW do pretty much any colour you like and it comes out depending on the euro exchange rate about four three to four and a half thousand pounds and of course there's a bit of a delay on the build as well yeah it does add on an extra sort of six to eight weeks on top of the usual build time so you know the N340s at the moment have got quite a long lead time so you could be looking at six months to get the colour you want wow but when you're spending that sort of money and you get it how you want it you'll wait you know it's worth the wait I think just to let people know something like an M2 is not available in an individual colour because it is effectively a two series it's built in the same yeah comes out comes out the I think it's Leipzig factory isn't it that they're the ones and the twos have produced that so yeah it seems to be just certain German factories that can do it because we can't even do it on the American factories or the South African factories so it's not even available on x3 x4 x5 oh okay and the amount of people buying x5s x6s x7s that want individual colours it's a shame really because that's the car that would warranty a hundred thousand pound car of course it's a drop in the ocean relatively speaking so well watch this face I could see that changing in the next couple of years with SUV markets going yeah I think it should do because I think an x5 would look amazing if you could do it in any colour you like yeah just really finish it off but let's talk about this car yes let's talk about this car I'm really I'm really I really love this car I really didn't want to sell it if I'm honest I mean I think we sold it twice now the first chap pulled out and then we sold it this week to I've got to say thank you actually to Amit because Amit has said we could film it today even though he's bought the car he's an m140 owner so he's progressing up the ranks who has to see yeah staying with the b58 but thank you mate for letting us film the car today really appreciate that so the base 3 series in fact a bit like this 320d or whatever that is they come reasonably well specced then you get to this m340i and that comes with a lot of standard equipment so what does the base 49-ish grand m340i come with so a lot of technology stuff now standard we were just discussing how in you know just a few years ago things like folding mirrors heated seats were optional extras on the 3 series yeah on the on this particular model all of that stuff is standard so you have got you know basically all the electrical stuff you need on the inside but for me the dynamic stuff with the m340 that you get a standard on the outside and the engineering of it is where it's really key so with this of course it's x drive yep we also get the m performance differential on the rear and also you get things like the variable sport steering which really you know i love that because it gives it the go-kart feel adaptive suspension is standard on the car oh that's right so the technical bits that used to be like 500 pound for this 800 pounds for that all of that's included in it so although the list price at 48 most people go oh it sounds a bit rich to be honest at 48 you don't really need to add much more you've got you've got leather you've got heated seats and you've got all the bits you could want on the car so of course yeah you don't need to add much more no this one's 60 grand well when i'm speccing cars my finger tends to go into a little bit like that you know like just keeps ticking the boxes so and i'm like you know but i do want it to look good you know if you're going to put this paint on the car yeah it needs a few bits but one of the things i should point out that you can get on the saloon which you can't get on the m340 touring um is the m technology pack that's not the normal technology pack which is the head-up display and the stuff in the car but they do an m tech pack which is 300 pounds and just point out what it does give you is these much much larger diameter brakes which have got bigger ventilation bigger calipers and obviously therefore bigger brake pad connecting to the to the discs and also an extra oil cooler to keep the engine under control so if you do a lot of performance driving and i guess if you in germany on the autobahns that would be an absolute must sure so on the saloon definitely have that for 300 pounds you can see the difference when you look at the normal car yeah it's a big big big difference and then we've got the shadow line package which gives you the black mirrors the black grills and the black alloy wheels of course which just finish off off the visual side of it and all of these in performance it looks like you've got a splitter down there and side sills is that all yeah well when this one arrived i kind of just felt it needed a little bit more so you know i had motec mike was on the phone saying send it up i'll put loads of stuff on it i was like you're like not that much more i was like no so at the moment they're doing a black pack that's two thousand pounds dealer fit which gives you these black gloss side skirts the black front splitter and nicely the carbon rear spoiler and carbon rear diffuser wow okay so all of that is two thousand pounds fitted and then i assume that's in the pcp deal yeah i mean if you put that into pcp it's it's 40 45 pound a month more for that and it just finishes the car off but when you it's one of those things when you see a car without it yeah it looks kind of naked yes but it just looks part of the car when it's on it it's one of those you you miss it if it's not there yeah but it's quite discreet and we all like that we love that oem plus look don't we so and it does look from the back end it looks amazing this car um and i have to say yeah it also complements as i said in the intro i think the black and anado gray do really complement each other so in this particular spec car especially it just all looks really really good and uh oh this has got the black wheels because you've got the black yeah the shadow like shadow line plus shadow line plus pack which actually also gets rid of the um gray yeah cerium gray well we call them canards so yeah fog light surrounds whatever you want to call them but yeah it makes those effectively gloss black and that and again just i think that two-tone black anado is just amazing you know you don't want any more color in there and that's that's what that's done then it's just toned it all down sure it just looks menacing from down here really really amazing uh and what other options we got around this car so that's the exterior stuff the rest of its inside so we've got the technology pack on the inside which gives you the head-up display which as you know is just amazing on these cars now it's a full color head-up display yeah gives you all the information you can need you can shrink it down for less information or expand it gives you the full map and everything yeah also that then gives you the hk sound system which is now part of the technology pack lovely and enhanced bluetooth which uh is part of that pack as well yeah it looks amazing in there i really like it i know you're i can't help but notice that you really do like your red leather don't you tell you know i don't know if it's the south london bit of me you know if being a crystal palace lad i suppose i would have painted the car misano blue and had red leather but you won't get away with that no i just i just want something that pops yeah and for me at the moment that is the only interior in this range that really would stand out against this color yep um we could have gone straightforward black we could have gone with oyster but you know yeah that's the merino leather it's a 990 pound option but as you know and i know that leather just feels worth every penny it's just absolutely you know you just drive along feeling it's lovely and you get a bit less of a sweaty arson on the journey yeah you probably probably do you probably do and also this has got the fabric aluminium dash trim which is very three-dimensional it's actually like a chain mesh underneath a gloss finish yeah very hard to describe but when you see it in the flesh it really looks stunning it almost looks a little bit carbony as well doesn't it yeah it has it's got that sporty look to it so we went with that interior trim as well yeah but that's it we didn't put any other packs it hasn't got the comfort pack it hasn't got the panoramic roof we we thought 60 60 000 pounds would be the ceiling 60 000 60 000 pounds it really is sexy um but yeah it's uh that was the limit and i think we set we set it out to get it at that price and that's where it's at and um yeah now it's sold it's become irrelevant i've got to build another one yeah yeah yeah well i think yeah i'm hoping that you have got a couple more on order because um they are definitely worth the wait and i i in fact remember the day that you told me i think you might have said it was you said i've ordered something in nardo yeah you'll be very surprised um when it when it turns up and and here it is i mean it's absolutely lovely um let's just have a quick look at the spoiler on the back here it looks great really really does look good um sometimes this showroom or this warehouse that we're in doesn't really show off the colors too much but i think it looks quite realistic on the on the camera yeah um tony do you mind actually jumping in and just starting it up what are we in now then we're in sport plus sport put it put it into comfort for a second okay and give it a rev hear it that's smoother so that's to make your neighbors happy and now oh lovely wow really nice to think that's totally stock in this day and age it's not too bad at all lovely well i think we should um sorry there you go all right sorry about that i think we should wrap this video it was just a real quick walk around the car just to show you guys another
