Double Take Fashion Show PREMIERE!

S- Oh boy. The time has come. The moment we've all been waiting for. The Double Tape Fashion Show. This fashion show is supported by Genentech and their SMA My Way program, and the goal is to increase disability visibility, champion adaptive fashion, and break down stereotypes. Not only for people affected by SMA, but for everyone with a disability. This fashion show is all about reclaiming the double take, and as an interabled couple, we get double takes from people all the time. And it's usually not because of what we're wearing. You don't think so? No, I think it's because of my charming smile. No, I don't think it's that either. So over the last few months, we've been working with Open Style Lab, a non-profit that's all about making fashion adaptable. We met with our designers and we told them all about our style and difficulties that we have wearing clothing that is inaccessible. They listened to our preferences and desires and concerns and came up with some amazing fashion designs. With the runway show you're about to see, we're inviting people to take a second look. Not because most of the participants have disabilities, but because we're all going to look amazing. And you'll notice that we're making no attempt to erase or hide our disabilities. Actually, the opposite. We are using fashion to embrace and accentuate everything that makes us unique. Hannah looks amazing as well, obviously. And I... what time is it? Oh, I don't know.
