NEW ENGLAND ADVENTURES: from Boston to Monhegan Island, Maine - Travel Vlog

Hello, hello. It is a beautiful day in, where are we? Lynn, Massachusetts. I'm here with my mom. Hello. And Joey, who's hiding behind my head. Hello. And what are we doing today? We are on the search for arepas. Arepas! So we heard there's a really amazing Venezuelan place here. So we're going to go check that out. I'm so excited. We have a really exciting weekend ahead. I will explain more after we get food. Sound good? Sounds great. Let's go. So we are now hiking through the woods. We're doing a little walk before the sun goes down and I thought it would be a perfect time to tell you guys what we're doing this weekend. So does anyone want to burst the news? We are going to Landmark. Landmark! Advanced course! So if you don't know what Landmark is, it is super hard to explain, but it's pretty much like a life transformative course that you can take. I took it for the first time when I was, I think I was 12 or 13. And then I did the advanced course when I was 15. And then I'm retaking the advanced course now at 16. And I mean it's really, I could talk for hours about it, but I mean it seriously changed my life. It's kind of allowed me to do what I'm doing now. What has it done for you guys? It made me bold in making bold decisions in my life. That's good. How about you, Joey? It started me on the road to self-development and improving myself every single day. I love that! And like, I mean if you can't already tell, like I'm surrounded by really extraordinary people and I think that Landmark is a huge contributor to that. So we are retaking the advanced course. Joey is doing it for the first time and I am super excited. It is going to be kind of crazy, not necessarily the most vlog worthy because we're pretty much like sitting inside for three days and delving into ourselves. So, but I thought I would bring you guys along because I would love to share with you my process doing it the second time and also this amazing camping experience because it's super fun. Sound good? Sounds good. Oh, hey guys. It is actually Wednesday. I haven't been in touch with you guys for a little while because it has been craziness. We did the Landmark advanced course which was amazing. I'll get Joey later to talk with me about like how it went and stuff so you guys can really get some insight as to what we were doing. But I thought I'd pick up the camera because we are currently at the location of our gelato shop and this morning the contractors did their first work and I want to show you what they did because it's super exciting. It might just be for me, but I don't know. So you walk in the door. Oh, hey mom. Hey. And then, ta-da! It's the platform. I know it doesn't look like it should be really exciting, but this is not here and now it is. If you walk up here, we are going to be putting a little counter right here with some nice little chairs and then you can go and look out over Rockland. And also where my mom is, we actually, they moved a wall in one day. They demolished the wall that was right here and built this frame right here. So we moved it back a little bit and now we have tons of space. We have our kitchen back here and a beautiful gelato shop over here. Are you excited? I'm excited! Joey! Ain't no worries. We're gonna buy a ticket so I can go to Maine. Well, you are in Maine. No, you're gonna go to California. Then I'm going to Cali. And you're leaving me. And I'm leaving the fam. Goodbye family. I love you guys a lot. Alright, Joey. So, hello. What did you get out of the advanced course? So I got a lot out of the advanced course, but what sticks out the most for me is I was able to figure out what's been stopping me in my life and what has been molding my relationships with people, my relationship with myself, and most importantly, the relationship with the world. The possibility I'm creating is so I'm moving out to California tomorrow morning, which is awesome. That's insane. So the possibility I'm creating is living unreasonably, so not settling, you know? Asking for everything that I could possibly want. So my dream is to become, within the year, become a paid actor. So that's what I can just be doing 24-7 with my life. And be traveling the world. And also be giving back to middle schoolers and teenagers and elementary kids. And teaching them that creative arts is amazing. And even though a lot of people kind of have this weird thing about it, like you can't get money from it and you shouldn't do that, you should just work, be a, I don't know, a technician or whatever. If you're interested in those things, do them, you know? Live happily. So I want to give back to the kids that are in that spot in their life where people are telling them, like, you know, being an artist doesn't really work, but they want to be an artist. Yeah. And so that's what I'm creating. Yeah. Aww. I know. Oh, I'm going to miss you so much. But I'm going to go visit Joey in California. Thanksgiving. 100%. Thanksgiving. So we're going to have a great time. Yeah. We'll be vlogging all of that. But now it's time to say goodbye. I know. Good morning. Oh my goodness. Look at my hat back there. That was not intended, but it looks pretty cool. I'm here with my beautiful mother and today we are headed out to Monhegan Island, which is this beautiful island off the coast of Maine where we live. It is Saturday, by the way. I have been super weird about vlogging this week. I wasn't even really thinking of doing a weekly vlog, but then, like, some cool things happened, so I kind of filmed some things. So we're, like, making it a full-on weekly vlog now. Today is going to be an epic day to end off the vlog. We're going to have so much fun. We're going to explore this beautiful island. Like, seriously, it's known as, like, one of the most beautiful places on Earth. So, shall we? Shall we? Let's go! Put your arms around me. If we stay here like this, it's the only place where I want. This is as long as we... So we just arrived on Monhegan. Are you excited? I'm so excited. So what are we doing first, Mom? First, we're just going to enjoy this beautiful moment. Anyways, it's so gorgeous. I'm so excited to be here. It's really cool to take, like, a little outing in, like, our daily routine because, like, where we live is so beautiful and I feel like we don't necessarily embrace it enough. So, let's go explore. Hey, Mom. Yeah? What did we get? Pizza. Pizza! So, pizza, check. And now we are on our way to go hike. I'm feeling so tired today, but, I mean, I am really excited to explore. So, it might be a slow hike, but it'll be fun. Are you excited? Yeah. Let's go! Hey, guys. So, I'm super excited because I just got this gorgeous time-lapse of the sunset. I thought I would end the video with it, so you guys haven't seen it yet, but you will, so be excited. But I just made this awesome dinner. I'm about to put some lentils in the bottom of my bowl and then I will add lots of veggies on top and some goat cheese and pistachios. It's going to be great, but it's such a beautiful night. Anyways, my mom and I are now going to be watching, what are we watching? Black Mirror, which is a new show we're watching. We're like three episodes in and it's really cool so far. Definitely would recommend. So, yeah, it's going to be a pretty chill night. Do that. Probably edit some videos. I want to take a bath because, I don't know, my life has been so weird lately. I feel like I just keep getting beaten up in a way, like left and right, and I don't know. It's just kind of weird. Today, I fell. I just fell onto the wooden path. It was right in front of me. I don't know. I think I tripped on a rock and then just propelled myself forward for 13 feet and then fell. It was interesting. And then my notebook today was all chewed up, like the only good one that I keep nice. I don't know how that happened. I'm blaming it on the dog, but my mom says it wasn't. And just like lots of other things. Oh, I shattered my phone. This happened. Wait, you can't even see it, but like shattered. So, yeah, I don't know what's like going on with the moon right now. Apparently, it's a full moon, so like maybe that's what's going on, but like I'm a little confused. Anyways, we're going to end this day on the right note and I will see you on my next video. Bye.
