Electric trucks are the future,
and by 2023, there will be eight new models
hitting the market,
and you're gonna wanna know about them.
In this video, I'm going to go over each of those models
and what you can expect to see from them.
We're talking price, capability, options, and more.
So, let's go.
Chevy Silverado all-electric EV.
It's no surprise that Chevrolet is coming out
with an electric version of their popular Silverado truck.
The 2023 Chevy Silverado EV is set to debut next year,
and it could very well be the best-selling EV truck
on the market, and here's why.
One of the biggest concerns for prospective EV buyers
is range anxiety, or the fear that their vehicle's
gonna run out of power before they reach their destination.
With a range of over 400 miles on a single charge,
the Silverado EV should put those fears to rest.
The Silverado EV will have a towing capacity
of up to 8,500 pounds,
making it one of the most capable EVs on the market.
Whether you're hauling a trailer, an RV, or a boat,
you'll be able to do it with ease with the Silverado EV.
The new Silverado will have plenty of interior space
for passengers and cargo alike.
With its new crew cab configuration
and fold-down rear seat to rear bed access,
there's going to be plenty of room for everything you have
so you can spread out and relax on long trips.
Although pricing hasn't been released yet,
Chevrolet has said that the Silverado EV
will start under $50,000.
And when you compare that to other EVs
on the market right now,
specifically the Rivian or Tesla Cybertruck,
that all end up well north of $80,000,
it's clear that Chevy is serious
about making the Silverado EV more affordable for everyone.
So if you're a Chevy guy
or thinking about an electric mainstream truck,
keep an eye out for this Silverado EV
when it hits dealerships next year.
This one is a favorite, the 2023 Ford Ranger EV.
It's an all-electric pickup truck
that's set to hit the market in late 2023.
The Ranger EV is based on the same platform
as the F-150 Electric,
which means it has the potential
to be a bestseller in the EV truck market.
And here's why.
The Ranger EV plans to have 300 miles of range
on a full charge,
which is more than enough for most people's daily needs.
It also has an impressive towing capacity of 7,500 pounds,
making it a great option
for those who need to tow trailers or RVs.
And with its standard four-wheel drive system,
the Ranger EV is more than capable
for tackling your off-road adventures.
Perhaps most importantly, though,
the Ranger EV is priced competitively.
It starts at $39,000,
which is only slightly more than the gas-powered Ranger.
And for many buyers,
this will make the Ranger EV a more attractive option
than other EVs on the market.
The 2023 Ford Ranger EV has the potential
to be a bestseller in the EV truck market,
with its competitive pricing
and long list of features and capabilities,
the Ranger EV is sure to appeal to a wide range of buyers.
Next up, the Ram 1500 All-Electric EV.
In recent years,
electric vehicles have been slowly but surely
gaining ground in the automotive market,
and the new 2024 Ram 1500 Electric
is posed to be one of the best-selling
electric EVs in the market.
Here's a look at what makes this truck so special.
The new electric Ram 1500
will be a full-size pickup truck
designed from the ground up as an EV.
It features powerful electric motors
that deliver instant torque
and impressive towing and hauling capability.
The truck has a large battery pack
that gives it impressive ranges,
making it perfect for long days on the job
or weekend adventures.
Perhaps one of the most impressive things
about the Ram 1500 Electric will be the interior.
This features a spacious and comfortable cabin
that's packed with all the latest tech amenities,
from a huge infotainment to convenient wireless charging.
The Ram 1500 Electric has everything you need
to stay connected and entertained on your drive.
Also in pricing, just like the Ford Ranger EV,
the Ram 1500 Electric is scheduled to hit the market
at a price tag under $40,000 at $39,000,
and that's sure to be a popular choice
for budget-conscious buyers.
So if you're looking for a full-size EV
that doesn't break the bank,
consider the Ram 1500 All-Electric.
Coming in next is the Rivian R2.
Yep, you heard that right.
Not the R1T and not the R1S we all know and love
from Rivian, but the R2.
And this will be the workhorse of a little brother
to the R1T, kind of like the mid-size option
like a Tacoma or a Ranger.
The 2023 Rivian R2 is already generating a lot of buzz,
thanks to its impressive specs.
It has a range of 400 miles on a single charge
and can go from zero to 60 in just three seconds,
and it can tow up to 11,000 pounds.
In other words, it's got the potential
to be a serious game-changer in the EV truck market.
When it comes to range, we've mentioned before,
but this impressive 400-mile range on a single charge
packed into a mid-size chassis is quite impressive.
We'll wait to see if those numbers really do ring true
when the R2 finally hits the market,
but for now, the expectations are looking pretty good.
Rivian attributes this extra range
to their state-of-the-art battery technology,
which allows the R2 to pack more power into a smaller space.
But not only does the Rivian R2 have impressive range,
it also has equally impressive,
if not more impressive, towing capacity.
Thanks to the dual motors, one for each axle,
the R2 can tow up to 11,000 pounds,
and that's enough to tow a boat or even some fifth wheels.
But I wouldn't recommend towing a fifth wheel
with a mid-size truck.
Ah, yes, the Tesla Cybertruck,
the one truck we all want to see and touch,
but we just can't.
Well, according to Musk at a recent shareholder meeting,
he announced that the Tesla Cybertruck
should be hitting the streets by the end of 2023.
Now, price with the Tesla Cybertruck
has been the subject of some controversy lately.
In the recent shareholder meeting,
Musk explained that due to recent inflation
that was unforeseeable a few years ago
when this truck was announced,
that the price will likely go up.
He didn't specify how much or to what price point,
but he did say you should expect to see the price rise.
While we're not thrilled about the price rising,
we are thrilled to see this truck on the road.
And with a new confirmed release date by the end of 2023,
we're looking like we're actually going to see this.
The Tesla Cybertruck is still on target
for ranges over 500 miles on a single charge.
And it has impressive towing capacity,
in fact, industry-leading towing capacity at 14,000 pounds,
which is more than enough
for almost anything you're pulling.
Now, range, on the other hand,
when towing is a whole nother story.
And if you haven't looked into that,
check out the video right here at the card.
And if you watch, you'll see that towing with an EV,
while the capability is certainly there,
the range is not.
2024 Toyota Tacoma EV.
You heard that right, an all-electric Toyota Tacoma.
Now, I could go on and on for days
on how the Tacoma is just an outstanding truck
front to back, and it has been for over 30 years.
But the reality is, it doesn't matter.
What happens next is going to be epic.
The 2024 all-electric EV is set to debut in 2024,
and you can start making your reservations in 2023.
Here's some of the reasons the new electric Tacoma
might become the next best-selling EV
to hit the truck market in North America.
The Tacoma is a proven truck.
It will have all the same features as its gas counterpart.
While we're only seeing renditions and concepts
at this point, we actually haven't got to see
the real physical truck yet.
And although we know Toyota is very good
about testing and research and development
before they hit the market,
we can't wait till the first press day
to get our hands on this Toyota Tacoma.
Alpha Motors Wolf.
The new Alpha Motors electric Wolf was recently unveiled
at the North American International Auto Show,
and it's a sight to behold.
This retro-inspired, futuristic all-electric truck
comes packed with features that are sure to make it a hit
with the truck buyers across North America.
Here's just a few reasons the Wolf might become
the best-selling EV truck yet.
The Alpha Motors Wolf electric EV
comes with an impressive 800-horsepower electric motor
that's capable of churning out
an impressive 775 pound-feet of torque.
This makes it one of the most powerful electric trucks
on the market and gives the ability to tow 12,000 pounds.
Not the industry leader,
but a clean second place behind the Cybertruck.
And while many people worry about ranges,
they shouldn't have much to worry about
as the driving range of the Alpha Wolf is 300 miles.
Also, while the Wolf might look a bit utilitarian,
it comes standard with all of the latest luxury features,
including heated and cooled seats,
a premium auto system, and a panoramic sunroof.
It also comes with advanced safety features
like automatic emergency braking and adaptive cruise control.
The new Alpha Motors Wolf electric EV is a sight to behold,
and it has the potential to be one of the best-selling EVs
on the market.
And last but certainly not least,
this wild-looking pickup truck from Canoo
might be another great seller in the electric truck market.
For starters, the Canoo pickup EV is absolutely massive.
It's nearly seven feet wide and almost six feet tall,
making it one of the biggest EVs on the market.
But size isn't everything.
The Canoo pickup EV also has an impressive range.
It can travel up to 400 miles on a single charge,
making it a great choice for long-distance trips.
The Canoo pickup EV also has some unique features
that set it apart from the EV pack.
For instance, it has an adjustable air suspension
that can raise or lower the truck bed as needed.
It also has onboard generators
that can be used for power tools and other devices.
And if that's not enough,
the Canoo pickup EV comes with a host
of driver assistance features,
including adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist,
and automatic emergency braking.
And if that hasn't impressed you, maybe consider this.
Its larger size means there's plenty of room
for passengers and cargo alike.
And finally, its long-range and unique features
make it a great choice for those who want an EV
that's both practical and fun to drive.
You can get your reservations placed
for the Canoo pickup EV later this year,
and it just might be your best new electric EV.
All right, guys, that's it for today.
I hope you enjoyed seeing these eight new electric trucks
hitting the market.
