Thank you to Ritual for bringing us today's video. More on them later. In today's video,
I'm sharing two days of intermittent fasting, what I eat in a day, following the 16-8 method.
Hello everyone, Jennifer L. Scott here and welcome to The Daily Connoisseur.
So I'm sharing another what I eat in a day video with you. These are popular. People like them and
they want to see what I eat in a day. And I get that because I love seeing what other people eat
in a day as well. So I'm sharing two days as I usually do of intermittent fasting. So I follow
the 16-8 method, which means that I fast for 16 hours. A lot of that is sleeping time. And then
I have an eight hour eating window. If you're interested in intermittent fasting, please
consult your doctor first before trying it. This video is for entertainment purposes only.
So having said that, let's jump into the first day of meals. Good morning, everyone. It's precisely
9.15 and this is a weekend breakfast. I like to make big breakfast on the weekend because I have
time. And this is one of my favorites, which is huevos rancheros. So I just fry a tortilla
and that's a flour tortilla. Fry an egg and there's black beans under there. Those are the
Thrive Market black beans. And I have some salsa, homemade guacamole, shredded cheese, and of course
scallions. So this is one of my favorite breakfasts. And if I ever go to a breakfast place that has
this on the menu, this is always what I order. I also have some sliced papaya to go with it.
And then to drink, I have my coffee in my Keep Calm and Remain Classy mug. And I felt like having
a juice. So this is some cold apple cider. So it feels really nice for fall. This is what it looks
like today. It is a nice crisp fall morning and I'm happy that the weekend is here. All right,
I'll see you later. Hi everyone. It's about 1.30. So this is a good example of a weekend schedule.
If I have a big breakfast like I did at nine, not really hungry by noon. But also I've been
working all day and filming and I made this chicken pot pie for a different video and it
just came out of the oven now. So I haven't had anything between the huevos rancheros and this,
but now I'm having chicken pot pie and a salad that has kale, broccoli, and cabbage and poppy
seed dressing. So this is another hearty lunch. And because I made a dessert, so I'm going to
have dessert after lunch today instead of tea time. So the times are all mixed up, but again,
I like being flexible on the weekends. I tend to have big breakfast and lunch and then I'll have
a dessert. Sometimes I just don't have dinner after a day of eating like that. Or sometimes
I'll have something really light. So we'll see what happens this evening, what I feel like doing.
But this is my lunch right now. I'm going to have this for lunch and then I'm going to show you
what is for dessert. Okay. And so for dessert slash tea time today, I'm having the apple pie
with cream on it. And this is an apple cider, mulled apple cider with cinnamon and cloves.
So it has been a decadent day of eating and I'll see you later. Hi everyone. It's five o'clock and
I really was not planning on having more of this, but that's what I'm having. So the kids were not
here earlier today, but they're here now. And of course they're having the chicken pot pie. And I
was like, you know, that sounds good again. So I'm having seconds. I feel like it's a holiday,
you know, where you have Thanksgiving dinner twice or something. So, um, yes. And I wanted
to mention that when you let it cool, because I let it cool, I refrigerated it. And then when
came back, um, I reheated it for them, but it holds its shape much better. Um, I immediately
scooped it out last time right after it was out of the oven. So that's what I'm having. I'm just
having a small slice cause I'm really not that hungry. And then I'm having a glass of almond
milk and that is it for my meals today. So it's five o'clock and I'll see you next time. I'm going
to break away for one minute to tell you about ritual who have kindly sponsored today's video.
You know, I love ritual vitamins and I've been taking their women's 18 plus
multivitamin for over two years now. Well, ritual also have protein powders. They recently launched
their essential protein shake 18 plus, which contains nine essential amino acids that help
build lean muscle mass appetite and support bone health. The shake contains choline,
which also supports brain health and fills dietary gaps. There's no added sugar or alcohols.
It's sweetened with a combination of fermented sugar King and monk fruit. The delicious vanilla
bean flavor is handcrafted using direct from farmer vanilla bean extract sustainably harvested
in Madagascar. The essential protein comes in daily formulas for 18 plus 50 plus and for pregnancy
and postpartum. So I frequently add rituals, protein powder to my morning smoothies. As you
will see in the next breakfast in the video, because I love the taste and all the added
benefits that come along with it. So get a massive 20% off your first month when you use my

ritual for bringing us today's video and now on to day two. Good morning, everyone. Today,
I'm having a vanilla banana protein smoothie. So this is made with one cup of almond milk,
one banana, about two tablespoons of peanut butter, some ice, and one scoop of the ritual
protein powder, which I do often like to put in my smoothies. And I like when I do that because
I don't need sweetener. When I do that, I also put some extra flax seed in just for texture.
It has a really nutty flavor for fall and that vanilla flavor is so good. So pretty thick too.
I have my reusable straw there. This is a rather large smoothie
and I'm going to enjoy this for breakfast outside. See you later. Okay, everyone's outside. So I came
inside this time to show you my lunch and I made my famous tuna pasta. I've done videos on this
before. I got this recipe from my mom. And so I guess it's my mom's famous tuna pasta. But basically
I make the pasta and then I have tuna, corn, olives, pickles, chopped celery, sliced apple,
green onions. If there's anything else I'm forgetting, I'll put it on the screen.
Mixed with mayonnaise, garlic salt, and parsley. And it's just such a nice lunch. This is a lunch
plate. This is not a full dinner plate, but it's piled quite high. So I love this lunch and I'm
about to enjoy it. Good afternoon, everyone. I'm having tea time in my bedroom today because I need
to write some letters. So I brought it up here and I'm excited because I have these Mexican
cookies that I found at the bakery at our local grocery store. And when I lived in Santa Monica,
I used to live next to this cafe called Cafe La Monarca and they had the best
Mexican bakery goods. So I used to get cookies like this over there and I was really excited
to find them again. So I have two cookies. For my tea, I'm having the black bergamot fasting tea
from Peak. And bergamot as a flavor has just really grown on me over the years. It's something
that I didn't used to like, but now I really like it as an adult. So that is what is for tea time.
And after this, I'm going to write some letters and then I will see you at dinner. Hi, everyone.
Dinner this evening is pork chops. Now I didn't make this. This is from the food trays that I get
from this local chef. He makes these family trays. So I always get a couple of trays each week
that lightens the burden on me to cook all the time. So this is pork chops with a cream sauce
and mushrooms. And then this looks really good. It's like an Italian vegetable salad with looks
like it's cucumber, red pepper and cherry tomatoes and maybe some feta cheese in there too.
So this is what is for dinner tonight. I'm just having some water. It's a lovely evening. And
that is it for today. I'll probably just have some herbal tea if anything later on tonight.
