Hey guys, welcome to another video. Today I'm going to show you how to make my favorite vegan
teriyaki cauliflower bites. I'm also going to show you how to make it two ways. I'm going to
serve it as an appetizer and how I would eat it as a meal. Let's get started with this recipe.
We're going to start by making our homemade teriyaki sauce. In a small pot, I have some
brown sugar that I'm just crumbling up here, soy sauce, mirin, which is a Japanese sweet rice wine.
This will help make the sauce shiny. A little bit of ginger and garlic powder. Some red pepper
flakes because I'm making this a spicy teriyaki sauce. If you don't want it spicy, just eliminate
it. A couple shots of cornstarch and some water. The exact measurement will be written in the
description box of this video. Bring this to a boil and then let it simmer for five minutes or
until it has thickened a bit. It should look something like this. Then pour it into a bowl
and set aside. Okay, now we're going to cut up this large head of cauliflower into bite-sized
pieces. I ended up using three-fourths of this head and you can save the rest, add to pasta or
soup. Do you guys like cauliflower? Let me know in the comments your favorite way to use slash
cook cauliflower. I'd love some new ideas. Here's a close-up of what they should look like when
they're all cut up into bite-sized pieces. I like to use less of the stalk as you can see.
In one bowl, I'm going to add some flour, garlic powder, salt, black pepper, and some almond milk.
I'm using the original flavor. Mix that together until smooth, adding more almond milk to loosen it
a bit. In our second bowl, I'm adding some panko crumbs. Now we're going to dip our cauliflower
in the wet mixture and then the panko crumbs and then place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
Repeating these steps like this. And then we're going to bake them at 450 degrees for 20 minutes.
Take them out of the oven and then brush some of your homemade spicy teriyaki sauce that you made
earlier on top. And then pop it back into your oven for another 8 to 10 minutes and this is
what they should look like when they're done. Oh my gosh guys, these were so good! First, I'm going
to be serving it up as an appetizer. And second, I'm going to turn it into a meal by serving it in a
bowl with some roasted tomatoes, peas, cucumber flowers, rice, and a little bit of lemon juice.
This was so yummy! Thank you so much for watching! If you enjoyed this video, please give it a thumbs
up. If you make this recipe, please tag me on Instagram as I would love to see your recreations.
