XOCHIMILCO: Mexico City's ANCIENT CANALS turned BOAT PARTY Hotspot | Mexico Travel Vlog

Hola, buenos dias and good morning! I'm here today with the guys from Mextalk. We are here today at Xochimilco. We're going to take a ride on the track here on Xochimilco. This is actually the remaining area of the original canals that were built by the Aztecs. They built Tenochtitlan, the ancient city of Tenochtitlan, on Lake Texcoco. And then they had floating gardens and canals and traveled by canoe between them. So this is what is left. But the main reason that people come here now is to party on the boats. They eat, they drink, there's music. And today is actually my birthday so what better way to spend it than to party on its trajineras. This is chaos. There's boats everywhere. It's like a traffic jam on the canals. You've got people selling food, lots of music, mariachi bands. Like over-stimulation. Yeah, over-stimulation for sure. Completely over-stimulated right now. There's boats passing by with people selling food, people are selling alcohol. We actually bought some food and all of our alcohol before we got on the boats because it's a little bit cheaper. Obviously if you're already on the boat then, you know, people can jack the prices. So there's stops along the way here. You can use the bathrooms, music, party. And apparently they have ice too which is something that we need. We're on our way to Mexico. Viva Mexico! Hey! Hey! Adios! Hey! Get it! Get it! Adios! Adios! Okay, bye! She has a Mexican family.
