SHELBY Unveils 1300hp Code Red GT500 on PUMP GAS!

Alright guys, so we are here at the Shelby America booth with the about-to-be-revealed code red Shelby GT500. We have no idea what's behind this, so hopefully they don't pull a Ford on us and rip it open and then we see a bunch of bubble wrap, so we'll find out. But I can tell you right now, this almost looks like a Batmobile here. That's pretty cool looking. But we're going to find out what Shelby has brought to the Woodward Cruise at Mustang Alley. So, we'll get a full reveal for you and all the specs from Shelby America. What is up fam? Hope this message finds you all well and in great spirits. Let me tell you something about the Shelby groups of Mustangs. No, I'm just kidding. No, no, no. There's no T. Listen, I love... My favorite Mustangs are New Edge, S197, and S550. And I do, of course, love the classics, but the Shelby owner is like a different breed of Mustang. It's kind of like the Ferrari Mustang owner. You know what I mean? They're very particular about the smallest details. They're not really into like hardcore like modding. It's also about traditionalism. Yeah, preserving. Preserving history. I don't know where I got to get this, but the car is okay, but this is where it's at. The hood prop. If I could drive it with that hood prop, I think that would be pretty cool. Just to let people know that it's a Shelby. That's pretty cool. We have the Brittany Blue. I do like this accent here. Look at that. I might have to copy. Again, it's about getting inspired and tastefully copying because that is the most sincere form of flattery. Am I right? Yep. Very nice. So... Nice. And our friend's Terracin neutral wheels are on there. We got this... Is this the Wimbledon White? Uh-huh. Heritage Shelby 350, which I've seen go for almost $200,000 on Bringer Trailer. So this is quite the coveted setup. I like the wheels, by the way. They really accent the car nice. I don't know the manufacturer, but it does... I like the wheel setup. It does have the Toyos on there. Always love that wheel tread pattern. So that looks pretty good. This Brittany Blue is calling me. I don't know. I keep looking at it. That looks pretty good in the sunlight. So... Oh, and this is supercharged, by the way. It says 800R. That's pretty cool. How you doing, sir? Hey, how are you? Good. We walked around. We looked at all the awesome cars by the owners. What we're going to do now is we're going to head over and walk a little bit further and walk around Ford Performance booth and then showcase to you the new and improved Shelby GT500 released by Shelby America. Should be exciting. Let's go. All right, guys. We are here at Shelby America's booth at the Woodward Dream Cruise Mustang Alley about to reveal something new. What I'm told the most insane, most powerful Shelby has ever unveiled. So we're going to see that today. I'm going to talk to, obviously, Shelby themselves, have them tell us what went into this. How do you get it? All the good stuff. So let's see how it goes. So there it is. The 2022 Shelby program. It also has a dry carbon rear. Very similar to our Kia. And those programs extracts a lot of heat out of the engine compartment. And trust me, this thing will create the heat. It also is aerodynamically focused. So not only the center stack that they have. Maybe we should start this thing up so people can hear what this sounds like. And listen to those pipes out back. And we'll go through some of the different modes. There you go, guys. All right, guys. We are here with Ben, the president of Fedhouse. Ben is the vice president. OK. All right. Tell me about this. What makes this unique over any other application? Well, everything we've done here is purpose-built for the GT500. We already, obviously, had a twin-turbo system set up for the GT350 and the GT cars. But when we looked at this setup, we knew it had to be different. Ford's done a great job with all the ducting and the coolers and everything in the front of this car. We didn't want to disturb any of that. So we designed the billet intake manifold that you can see on top with a very large air-to-water intercooler brick built into it. So that allows us to keep our piping short and behind the radiator. So it doesn't affect anything in front of the car. We do run an aftermarket heat exchanger. But other than that, everything in the front of the car is all factory. So all the ducting and everything stays there. It also cools really, really well even without ice in the tank. But you can put ice in the tank to cool it off even more when you're racing. And what I like about this is what I heard in the introduction was that it is what I love. And if you guys don't know Fedhouse, they're famous for what they did with the 350 platform. Right. This is a 9385 mix. So if I have to drive a lot further, I'm out of the E85 pump. I can still drive this and it will switch it based off the octane rating. Yeah, the flex fuel sensor that's in the car will detect fuel ethanol percentage live. And also the nice thing about our flex fuel setup with the Motec is it's not just you can drive your car on pump gas. You can floor this car and race it on pump gas. And anytime in between the mixture, the tune automatically adjusts, change boost, power, timing. Everything's adjusted for the fuel. This is get in and go. It's get in and go. No muss, no fuss. You don't have to change any settings. You don't have to flip any switches. You don't have to do anything. Let me flip the tune. Let me change the gas. Let me drain out the fuel. And I speak from experience because I have a modified Charwood GT500. And these are things I experienced. I'm on 93. Let me wait till I'm down to zero. Then pour my E85 in. And it's a headache. Right. This is a lot more work. And you have to remember to switch the fuel. Oh my gosh. You got to remember because your tune might not be adjusted for that fuel. It's a mess. But this right here is turnkey, top of the line, Shelby, Fat House. And this is tuned by Johnson Tuning. Absolutely. And those turbos are what size? These are 62 millimeter turbos. Okay. All right.
