This week we have got my firm family classic. This is one of the simplest but most tastiest dishes.
This is my spicy king prawn linguine. First up you know what I'm going to say, get your pan
up to heat. So this one over here we're going to get onto a nice rolling boil.
I'm going to heavily season that with a good amount of salt. We're going to add a good amount
of our whole wheat spaghetti. This is going to be quite garlic heavy so into a second pan
we're going to add a good drizzle of olive oil. We've got three cloves of garlic. So we're going
to add about half a chilli, just roughly chop that. You don't want too much in there because
we don't want to kill this with too much heat. So the oil itself you want on a medium heat. You
don't want that too high because you don't want to burn the garlic. You're just going to lightly
brown that and just get some flavours into the oil. You can see there it's got a slight warm colouring
to it. Nice golden brown. I'm going to add a good cup of large king prawns. These have been cleaned
already. I'm just using frozen for this just to speed the recipe. Now this type of recipe is super
quick so you have to work really fast. Pasta's pretty much done. A tablespoon of tomato paste
and into there we're going to add around nine to ten little cherry tomatoes. This is the sort of
dish that's become such a staple in our family. It takes about five to ten minutes to make and
it's just so light and easy. It's a perfect summer or winter dish, year-round favourite. Into there
we're going to add the juice of half a lemon, small pinch of chilli flakes and I'm going to add
around one to two shots of white wine. I'm using Prosecco today. Those king prawns are pretty much
done. Just as they're nearly done we're going to add our pasta and pop that straight into the dish.
Another good mix round. I mean how easy is that? Five to ten minutes you've got the most
awesome, awesome meal. And finally we're going to get some basil and rocket, sprinkle that in.
Another good stir around. I'm going to serve this one up. Right, bowl, good twist round.
Some of our prawns, some of our rocket, some of that beautiful sauce. And then finally over the
top you're going to add a generous amount of your parmesan cheese. See that's what I mean about
comfort food at its simplest form. This is one of the first recipes I learned to make. Now if you
can, get your kids making this sort of stuff. Get them involved with the kitchen. If they do,
hashtag me as Hayes Kitchen as always. Please subscribe to the channel and I'll see you next week.
Cheers then, bye-bye.
