What's up crew? Welcome back into the channel.
Today is part three and hopefully the final freaking part of this series.
We're trying to find a warehouse here in Texas to build our business.
So in this episode we got a call, we were ready to settle and you guys,
a lot of you voted on that 2,400 square foot spot, the smaller one, um,
which is basically what we were leaning towards.
We pretty much agreed on it until we got a call from our agent that he found one
more option. It's 2,500 square feet, slightly cheaper too.
And the blueprint looks like it could be a really sweet set up for what we want
to do.
Yeah. I Charles used the word subtle and that's pretty much what I feel like
we're being forced to do is just subtle and it's been tough.
Just doesn't feel right yet. And I don't know, it just should feel right.
I feel like so.
So we've been having to practice some patience.
We wanted to come down here on week one and just lock in a killer place.
And, and meanwhile we're letting people go that are like interested in using our
service because we don't have the right space.
So that's getting really frustrating that we have, um,
people who want to use our service and we want to help them, but we can't.
So absolutely. It's, it's, it's coming down to these guys want three year lease
leases sign and 2,400 square feet,
even 2,500 square feet that we're looking at today.
It's still on the small side compared to the scale that we know we can grow this
thing to. Um, cause ultimately it comes down to, we have a kick ass service.
Um, we're known for our excellent communication turnaround time.
We build relationships with our clients. Um, and we,
we have a certain standard we hold ourselves to based on that reputation.
And so we want to find the warehouse that's going to be able to handle that
type of workload that we're, we're about ready to embark on. Yeah.
So here we go. Please let's be the right one.
All right. We are loving this space. You come in.
Nice part is this whole office side is all AC big old room here.
So easily just build out a bunch of shipping stations in here.
Two offices got the big office motion detection lights, which are nice.
So they must've just redid all this flooring to two office spaces.
Exactly what we were wanting for that. His and hers. One was kid's room.
Got another one over here.
So this could be storage or shipping.
Obviously I'm sure we'll change things a bunch of times by the time we actually
get moved in. And then here we got the break room,
got two decent size bathrooms,
even titled men and women. And this whole side would be the AC side,
which is very intriguing.
Perfect for what we want to do for eBay fulfillment out of this section.
We open up the door here and we've got the warehouse space.
Obviously this is not going to be meant for Amazon fulfillment necessarily as
scale. So we have a ground level door right there,
not a full dock, which makes it difficult. If we do get pallets in,
then we're going to have to invest in a pallet stack or something like that,
that we can pull those off of,
but decent size storage for what we're looking to do to start with.
So there you have it folks, 2,500 square feet,
kind of perfectly divided in half.
So I'm assuming around 1200 to 1300 square feet here in the actual warehouse.
We're mostly intrigued by this type of office set up for what we want to do.
All right, back in the car. That one felt right.
That's kind of the feeling we've been waiting for is like we can envision
ourselves building our company within, you know,
we have to sign a three year lease.
So can we see ourselves being there for three years?
And the answer is yes to that.
There's pros and cons. Of course,
I'll start with pros and cons.
The other ones were a lot more warehouse floor,
which is great if we're looking at doing larger scale FBA style prep,
which is going to be pallets coming in and out, um, case forwarding,
all that kind of stuff.
Those are those are services that we would like to offer down the road.
But for now we know that our customers are, are demanding eBay fulfillment.
So that's the service we want to launch and scale that up.
And this type of space is perfectly set up for that. And on top of that too,
we're not just talking about network prep as our fulfillment center.
We're also talking about us buying and selling.
Like we have our own full office spaces and there are plenty of shipping room to
do our own buying and selling, um, still doing YouTube videos,
all that kind of stuff.
So there's other needs in a warehouse for us than just purely a large warehouse
space. Um,
and we've built network prep specifically out of our warehouse in Oregon.
That's 1,900 square feet. We've built our entire operation out of there.
You just get really good at being efficient with
a good thing. That's a very good thing.
So our first thoughts, we already told our, um,
guy Doug who's been our agent,
we already told him put in a letter of intent,
which is where we can do a little bit of negotiating.
So we're going to try to knock the price down.
They wanted $3,000 a month for 2,500 square feet.
So a little bit more than a dollar per square foot, but it's way nicer.
Um, I know most of you probably don't care,
but they've got the whole networking system already built out.
They've got, um, ready to go security cameras.
We just plug in our own hard drive. All that kind of stuff is all set up,
ready to go. It's, it looks like they just re, um,
redid the entire place to super clean. So with that being said,
I think this is the one we're going to go after.
There are a few people interested. They did let us know. So, um,
we're, we're ready to go. We told her,
we told Doug put in that letter that we're not just interested,
but like we will sign a lease tomorrow if needed. So we're, we're gonna,
we're gonna go for this one. So with that being said,
hope you guys enjoyed getting another inside view to us trying to find a home
for our business,
but it's been a lot of fun and we'll just continue to do this little vlog series
all the way through signing a lease,
getting our first shipping stations set up, all that fun stuff.
Hope you guys enjoy it.
If you guys want us to keep documenting this stuff and you do enjoy it,
please drop a comment. Let us know. Um,
if you just want to keep seeing behind the scenes of everything,
have an awesome day. Peace out crew. See you next time.
