AD | SUNNY PICNIC & DIY PLANS ☀️

Good morning everyone! Welcome back to another video. We've got a super chilled vlog planned today. The sun is shining. We're gonna take advantage of that and go on a lovely countryside walk. We're also gonna get busy in the garden because that needs sorting out and most importantly we're gonna eat some lovely food. So excitingly I'm actually working with Sainsbury's on today's video. Whether you're shopping safely in store or online they have so many exclusive products to pick from. A couple of days ago I nipped into store to do our weekly food shop and also picked up a couple of little bits for today's walk. We have the Plant Pioneers vegan no sausage mini rolls. A couple of packs because I mean you gotta get a couple of bags of those bad boys. We've got some no egg bites. Love a scotch egg and then some no steak bakes as well. I'm gonna package these up in little pots so I can use it to dip but these are the sauce shop spicy sriracha mayo and then you can tell I like my spicy spices. We've got the smoky chipotle mayo as well. These I've got one of every flavour but this is my fave. It is the number one living kombucha and this is kombucha. Did you hear how I just said that? Kombucha! It has also got flavours of pomegranate but the green tea really comes through in this one and that is I'm all about the green tea basically. So these are all coming with us on our walk. If you fancy trying something new Sainsbury's has you covered. I need to pack all this up put it in my rucksack and then we can shoot out for our walk. We've made it to the top of Devil's Dyke. Oh my gosh it's so lovely. Well you're literally staring at a silver van behind me so you can't appreciate the view Josh yet but promise you I'll show you. It's really really nice. Everyone is in shorts and t-shirts and I'm here with like the woolly jumper, body warmer, socks up to my knees underneath my jeans. I need to be a bit more brave committing to like shorts and t-shirt. It is so hot guys it is so nice. You're comfy there. Instantly just laid out. I think it's because I'm so hot. I said that everyone else is in shorts and t-shirts body warmer and woolly jumper like. You thought I was going to be cold. I'm in a dress but I'm fine. I think we've both decided that we're going to have a walk after we paddle. Yeah we've got to have picnics first. Okay no Sidney, she's trying to get them all ready. What are you having? You've got your treats. I'm going to go for one of these first. I'm going for the dunk into the jar. Yeah. What's that one? Oh my god. What one's that one? They're smoky mayo. Lovely. That is stunning. Right I'm going for the spicy sriracha mayo. We didn't really think about Sid picnic. What? That was like a very long pause. Yeah I'm like breaking down those flavours. That is spicy and I love that. Have you had this? Yeah I just tried it my mouth's on fire. Yeah you're not very good with spicy. I know. These are two of my favourite things mayo and spicy sriracha. We're going to enjoy this have a nice cold drink, enjoy the view. It's very quiet here. I feel like I'm talking very loudly do you? Oh yeah I was shouting. I've become very socially unaware. Of your voice? Of my voice yeah. It's like there's people around but it's very peaceful. It's like going to the shop and I just start shouting at people. Sorry if it's a bit windy up here I'm literally like on the highest point of Brighton. What a perfect start to the day. Now we've got to do some gardening. Right let's head back home. Oh it's all kicking off in the garden. Amanda's here helping out. Oh are you going to give us a tour? Potted pansies here. You've just done this haven't you? You've actually pretended you know what you're doing. Some more pansies, some ivy. Lovely. We have a tree here. Show me. This tree. This tree. This tree. You can't even pronounce it. One is for our friend Emily for her birthday. Lovely she doesn't know that yet so hopefully this doesn't ruin the surprise. Then we've got some of these. You're rubbish you don't know the names. Little chives. Cute. Then we've got some hydrangeas that will be beautiful. Lovely. Then we've got our daffodils. We've planted some... What are those mum? Primulas. Primulas. Not primulas. We're full of facts on this channel guys. Then these. These are all going in look. These are all new. No. No? They've been there for a long time? So these are gonna give us strawberries? Yeah. Bloody hell we've got quite a few. Good idea. First day we're allowed in the garden. Amanda's just saying first time that we're allowed people in the garden. Poppy rang her up to say can you come help. We're gardening if you fancy at home Please do. I'm bribing her with cups of tea. I have a job. It is to fill the trough full of all of those strawberries. Okay where are we at? So we've got one two three four five six seven eight strawberries already. Basically we're going to be able to feed the whole street with strawberries. This sun is intense. Big roots they're gonna grow big strawberries that just makes sense. That makes total sense. You're not ready how cute it looks. I mean things have been planted it's not like they're all flowered and flourishing it's just like little funny weird things. Your lockdown haircut is like something else. I was trying to avoid showing them the back of my head but it's happening. You would have thought that poppy would have improved with the amount of times that she's cut my hair. We were in a rush. Turns out that she's got worse. We're in a rush again. Look at this. We're just flattening it out at the moment but this is our new garden rug. How cute. Yeah over here that'll look lovely. Then the straws that you planted. Oh yeah did a great job. Then this little area which looks a bit bare now but it will look stunning. Can you tell me where the poppies are because your mum said that all is it these? No it's like i think it's like the no it's this that's a poppy. Because we saved all the tiny seeds didn't we from last year. Yeah and then just literally just like threw all of them onto the soil so they're obviously growing which is great. Fingers crossed. Then our pots are all done and the grass actually on camera except from the mud runway which Sid and us taking her out created over winter it actually looks all right. Yeah do you know how much time i spent trying to revive this bad boy. I mean it's still not there yet but no but oh my god the sun. Give me some give me some credit. I was out here the other day for like four hours. Apart from the swamp at the back it's all right. And then the trees all planted up. I can't wait for these to flower. What are they actually gonna look like? Focus focus this that's not Sid actually that's the little little dog behind us who Sid loves to bark at and that's it. Okay since we're talking garden plans i wanted to run one thing by you and that is a little diy project i think i might take on over the next couple of weeks. I have this pizza oven it's really really cool but it's quite big and it's upstairs and i thought now that summer's coming on like it's nearly here today it's been so beautiful it's kind of encouraged me to think about it a little bit more. That is that i need somewhere to store it slash use it and i'm thinking just on this back wall here behind this table there's enough space for me to build like a little so maybe like a similar size to the table but just here so then i could build out like i don't know to like here put like a little felt roof on it make it nice um i don't know i'm i'm full of ideas about how to actually construct it but something nice like even like a little bar station to put drinks on or food for when people come into the garden i think that's quite a cool idea at the moment obviously we have the table we have the chairs it'll probably go on the rug we have the flower bed it's still quite like basic isn't it there's not that great deal of stuff here so yeah time to start jazzing it up with some things like storage thing that i just told you about i'm thinking of building we really like the idea of like a corner sofa like an outdoor corner sofa for maybe this area and have the table there as well and but yeah we've got quite a lot of plans and hopefully we can get that sorted this year i think this is the end of the vlog i told you it was going to be a super chilled one i'll be leaving all the relevant links to sainsbury's in the description for you to go check out and uh yeah excited to get cracking on with the garden now that we started it again i feel motivated to get it sorted it's going to it's going to change so much and so yeah big plans big plans on that note i'll see you real soon in the next video peace
