DOES IT WORK!? POWDER BEFORE FOUNDATION?

Hey guys, welcome back to my channel. Hope you guys are doing well So today i'm going to be doing a video on this technique that has been going around youtube for a while So it's definitely not a new technique and that is the powder before foundation technique now, obviously, you know It's no news that we are looking for a solution guys We're looking for a solution for this oily skin problem and I have told you guys I have oily skin You guys know I have oily skin It's a problem Because you know, give me a few hours you can fry a pancake You can fry eggs, you can fry puff puff even on my face once it's been you know A few hours and my face is just like melting off. It's a problem out here And we're just really waiting for that solution now. I haven't really tried or tested this powder before foundation routine I've been wanting to but I haven't and I saw a comment from one of you guys in one of my videos where you Said, you know, can I try it and i'm just thinking oh, yeah, I actually wanted to try it So hey, I will do that for you guys. Honestly We just we need a solution out here. We need help for us oily girls out here Okay, let's get into it and let's find out if this technique works Hey guys, so I have obviously come a bit closer so we can you know get into it and see what is going on As usual i've done my brows. I have a tutorial. We'll link that below. I have done my eyes eye makeup Eyeliner lashes. I literally did very simple makeup today like eye makeup It's not every day Be the eyeshadow. I cannot be bothered with that today Honestly, I have my days too and I don't really feel like being all creative and glamorous so we can go straight into this. Um Face, so the first thing is first and that is prime, of course, and i'll be using my makeup forever base one Sorry makeup forever step one based mattifying primer That's what I wanted to say and you guys know I use this primer pretty much all the time. It's my everyday primer It's very good for oily skin. It literally dries up and soaks up that oily area Um, and for me, it's the t-zones. I just applied this to the t-zones because to be honest I am actually combination i'm oily combination because I don't get oily everywhere actually Some people get oily all over but for me, it's actually just the t-zone area everywhere else stays pretty normal Please ignore this bs spot right here, by the way You guys know how it is when the time of the month is coming or has come I don't have any respect for your face and your skin to be honest So I was going through you can see at the top here going just going through a bit of breakout that I get pretty much When that time of the month has arrived But we're gonna keep it moving anyway So yeah, I think now we can do the powder because from what I have watched I think yeah So i'm going to take my beauty blender And i'm just going to dip into my sasha buttercup setting powder and i'm going to just Use my mirror Yeah, i'm just going to Apply that Because I think that's what we do, right? So I guess it's not all over the face, but I guess it's where I guess if you get oily everywhere You can apply it like all over but I think if you just get oily In certain places I just realized something I need to conceal. How will I conceal with the powder already on my face? Maybe I should have concealed first Okay, let me let me put a bit of concealer on first I think I don't know i'm confused guys But if I put powder then I can't put concealer. Oh, can I put concealer on top of the powder? Then how would I blend it? I don't know Okay, let me put the concealer first I'm a bit confused as to how i'm going to do that after actually Let me just conceal And then put powder and then foundation right Okay, okay. Okay. So yeah, let me where's my brush so yeah, let me just conceal It's not a lot but just around my mouth Yeah, I should have really done this first to be honest, but it's fine we'll just add extra powder I guess a bit of extra powder won't hurt Okay, so Looking hella crazy right now But uh, you would think I was actually baking at this point. But yeah, um Okay, hold on. All right, so we're going into foundation. We've concealed we've added the powder so foundation today i'm going to be using my milani conceal and perfect, um two-in-one foundation and I use um Two shades because 13 is too light 14 is too dark and these are the two darker shades I don't know if they've extended it. But from what I know, these are the darker shades um, so they they need to do a bit better they need to have some darker shades for my darker skin girls, but Um, yeah, so I always mix these two together apply that to my face This is so weird Applying foundation with this powder on my face already But we're gonna go with it we're gonna go with it there is a method to the madness So we're gonna roll with it. I'm gonna buff that in now with my brush first Beauty blender now as well just blend further I'm going to use fawn and just highlight under my eyes Okay, so that's all blended out now, so I guess i'm going to set it again with powder powder galore today Okay, so we are done with the technique itself Um, I can't lie. I do feel like oh my gosh we've got layers of makeup on because of the extra powder and you know, I did it the first time and then I concealed and I put it again, which obviously that was my mistake because yeah I don't know. I couldn't remember what way around I have seen it before if people conceal before the powder or whatever But yeah right now I definitely feel like well i've got a lot of uh powder on my face right now makeup definitely feels very Dry at the moment if that kind of makes sense. Um But yeah, I mean it's it's fine looks fine Let me just finish off the rest of my face first and then we'll go from there Hey guys, i'm back. So I have basically just finished off the rest of my face I just did a kind of like a bold lip. I am wearing what lipstick am I wearing? I'm wearing um uh very bossy by um This is by Maybelline so it's just their I think it's their color sensational Um bold their bold rage. But yeah, this is their lipstick. So I really like it. It's a really nice Bold lip so like when you do like a minimal eye look I really like going for like a bold lip So it makes me look like i'm really like glammed up when I really did nothing basically done with the routine done with the technique um So far so good Because we need to see how it you know takes during the day and what happens during the day, I mean my makeup looks Not really any different than it would normally look when I do my um Makeup. Anyway, my highlight everything looks the same Yeah, nothing to really say now, do you know what I mean? So I am going to go out now Like I said, i've got things to do and i'm going to bible study later and all of that um and then when I come back I will let you know what I think and how it kind of um If it worked if it made my makeup last longer all that stuff. So what time is it now? It's 4 30 looking at my laptop next to me. So it's 4 31 right now to be exact Let me go do what I gotta do Then I'll come back and talk to you guys and let you know what I think about the technique So yeah, I'll see you guys in a few hours Guys I'm so tired. I am hungry my back I like literally I am so tired right now. Like I plan to basically go and get some Do some errands get some things like I need to buy some makeup stuff and do some other things And then I plan to go to bible study. Okay, so one of the things that I wanted to do and I decided to do today was basically Go to harvey nichols and get me some fenty. I can't remember how many weeks fenty has been out right now I think it's been out like Six weeks or maybe two months. Yeah, I don't know but it's been out for a little while now and I said You know what? I'm gonna wait. Okay, i'm gonna wait i'm gonna wait as much as I really want this right now I'm gonna wait so that I don't have to queue up at harvey nichols because harvey nichols is the only place you can get fenty in the uk, I think um, obviously you can get it online, but I Personally don't like that unless I know exactly what i'm getting like obviously for the next time I know what I want, but for I needed to get color match or shade match. Um So I had to go so I said, you know i'm gonna do that today I got there They're still a queue To and to be honest the queue didn't even look that bad It wasn't like the queue was going all the way around like it didn't look that bad So I was like, okay, it should be all right like this can't be more than 30 minutes, you know, 40 minutes tops I waited for almost two hours almost two hours Because of fenty because of fenty. So yeah that's what I basically did and I was looking at the time and I basically Didn't get to go to bible study because by the time I actually got into the store Did my shade match bought my stuff came out? It would have been too late. So I didn't even get to go bible study because of fenty but it's all good though It's all good. So Look out for the review. The review is definitely coming. I'll do that for you guys Um, so yeah that aside, um, and then I went to buy some other things and just do some other like shopping and all that Good stuff. Um, so right now it is 9 59 And I was out Sorry, I finished my makeup at 4 31, I think so. Let's round that up 4 30. It's almost basically 10 o'clock So that's like five and a half hours, I think Um, and this is the makeup. This is how we're looking. We are looking like this So i've got my mirror and you guys now have to have my little mirror in front of me to look a bit closer Guys, you know what? I think the method actually or the technique actually works I think it works it, you know, like I say and I will say it again and again and again I'll say to my clients i'll say to you guys if you have oily skin Please don't expect that your oily skin is not going to produce oil because that is what it is You have oily combination skin or oily skin it's going to produce oil and these foundations and and primers and Techniques are just to help slow down the process, you know If they can slow it down so that you don't get oily after two hours and you get oily after four five six hours instead Then that's better. You understand? So that's what the techniques and the products are for So now after five and a half hours later, and I didn't touch up basically as well I didn't touch up my makeup nothing at all I think the technique actually work and help to be honest if I look At the rest of my face if you look all around my face like here here It's actually not bad. The only place that's obviously evident that the oil is coming through It's basically here right here This is literally you can see it's coming through here and I told you guys that's my problem area right there right there I put primer I put powder I put everything And it will still come through and obviously like my my like my brows like my forehead area as well But this area right here. I don't know what it is That area is just like oil like it just yeah oil essential. Honestly, my makeup still looks flawless Like my makeup is still looking good y'all what you guys think what you guys think? I definitely think it's something that you guys should try if you have oily skin and it doesn't make your makeup process Um extra long, which I like it's just a case of taking powder and then putting foundation So it's not like you have to do a whole 10 minute thing So which I like because it's not gonna make my makeup, you know process longer So i'll definitely be trying and be using this method Um, especially if I know I have like a long long days ahead of me Um, but yeah, that's it guys.
