BLACK ADAM: Do You Feel That The Time For Heroes Is Over?

Hey everybody. If someone can smell what's cooking, then it's got to be Dwayne The Rock Johnson. And this time it is, The Black Adam. After years of development, the movie is finally out with The Rock himself, assuring audiences that the hierarchy of power in the DC Universe is about to change. Dwayne Johnson's fans will be super excited, as this is the charismatic actor's first foray into superhero movies. The character of Black Adam was originally supposed to be the villain in the 2019 film Shazam. But thanks to Dwayne Johnson, the story of Shazam and Black Adam were given separate movies, as he believed the stories needed to be told separately. As a result, fans get to explore the story of Black Adam for the first time ever on the big screen. It will also be a debut for the Justice Society of America, JSA, the first-ever team of superheroes in comic books who predate the Justice League. Apart from DJ, the movie also features Pierce Brosnan as Dr. Fate, Aldous Hodge as Hawkman, Quintessa Swindell as Cyclone, and Noah Centineo as the Atom Smasher. Sarah Shahi will play the role of Isis. And Viola Davis will be reprising her role as Amanda Waller, a most genius and feared character in the DC Universe. Nearly 5,000 years after his imprisonment, Black Adam is freed from his tomb and is ready to unleash his unique form of justice on the modern world. We will also get to see how powerful he is, as bullets barely scratch him. He flies, channels lightning blasts from his fists, and even catches rockets. Speaking to Vanity Fair, DJ explains that Black Adam's superpowers rival that of Superman, as the latter's biggest weakness is magic. The fact as to whether he is a hero or not is established as he does not have a code of ethics or a line of integrity, he blurs the lines between good and bad, hero and villain. Standing in the way of Black Adam is the JSA who see him as a loose cannon and try to negotiate his peaceful surrender. They soon learn that he has his own ways and will kneel before no one. That could be the reason why one of the posters read, the time of heroes is over. Speaking to Time, DJ says, the idea was how can we create something that's fresh, unique, maybe show and create things that have never been done. But also if our goal is to usher in a new era of the DC Universe, what does that mean? What does that character mean? What does it mean to build out the DC Universe with the Justice Society 2? Kalitzara also shared his vision by adding, when the system is broken and corrupt and is unable to protect the innocent, sometimes you need someone to break the system down. The filmmakers faced a host of other challenges in making this movie, as it takes place in both the distant past and modern times. Kalitzara didn't just have to create a new world with the fictional realm of ancient Kondak, he also had to craft a contemporary timeline too. All their outfits had to be designed from scratch. With 3D printing technology each of the heroes' looks were brought to life and we simply can't wait to see them in action. This movie not only expands the DC Universe, but will give fans an opportunity to see The Rock in a new avatar.
