TRAVELING ALONE AT 16 | 1st TIME (GOT LOST)

Hey guys, my name is Kate. For those who don't know me, today's vlog is going to be me flying alone to San Jose, California. I'm here at the Honolulu Hawaii airport right now and I've never flown alone before, so this is going to be new and I'm just going to take you guys with me. And don't forget to subscribe so you can see more of my travel vlogs. Good morning guys. It's pretty early in the morning. It's like 6 a.m but I woke up because the neighbor's roosters keep screaming and stuff and I just can't fall back asleep. So today I'm going to be leaving on my trip and I'm trying to do some last minute packing. I used to pack like a month ahead but as I've gotten older now, I just started packing yesterday, which wasn't the best idea. Mom and I managed to finish packing for me. I'm honestly really unsure if I've packed all the right things because I thought it was going to be like deathly hot because my other friends told me that it's even hotter than Hawaii, but my friend that I'm actually visiting there, Joy, she told me that it's actually pretty cold and the lows get to like 50 or 60 and the highs are like 70 something. So I'm a little bit concerned because this Hawaii girl right here is used to like high 80s and low 70s is like the coldest. If it ever hits like 68, it's already really cold. But now since I have chronic hives, I'm not totally sure how my skin's gonna react to the cold weather. I feel like it might actually like the cold weather, so I don't know. We'll see. Guess what, hoes? I finally got pre-checked. I've literally never been allowed to be pre-checked, so I'm feeling pretty good. It's probably because I'm traveling alone, so they don't think I'm a threat, but just kidding. TSA, if you're watching this, I'm safe, I promise. There's an Alaska airline flight that's boarding right now and it's at the exact same gate, but it's a different number, so I'm just not gonna go and hopefully it's fine because I'm supposed to be boarding in like two hours, so I'm pretty sure I'm fine. I'm trying to find somewhere quiet to do an intro. But I don't really want to go there yet in case they like lock me in. I don't know if that's what they do, but I'm trying to like just chill around, you know, and catch some Pokemon. It is starting to feel kind of lonely just being by myself, but I think vlogging's nice that I can talk to you guys even though you aren't really here, but yeah, I don't know. I just love talking to you guys. I don't know, I just really like vlogging and just talking about what I'm doing because otherwise I get too stuck in my own thoughts, which are always bad, and I get paranoid, and anxiety, and yeah, let's just knock it. And I'm just really praying that there's no weirdos that try to come up and talk to me because I'm just not trying to look for that right now, so pray for me. I don't like playing Pokemon Go by myself because I don't really know which Pokemon evolves, so when I get something new, I like to know if I need a peanut barrier or not, but I don't know. So I just got a new Pokemon. It's called Beldum. It looked pretty cool, but then it actually evolved, so I didn't peanut barrier it though because I didn't know. So while I'm waiting here, I'm gonna post a video that hopefully is up right now when you're watching it. It's my what I eat in a day video, so go check that out. I really apologize. All my angles and lighting are gonna be disgusting in this vlog. I just don't know how to vlog nicely, so yeah. There are honestly like so many people here that like know each other, which is kind of weird. There's like huge groups of like kids that are just like hanging out and stuff. Kind of jealous, you know? I want to travel with my friends again. I don't really see anyone else my age traveling alone because otherwise I'd probably try to talk to them, but my mom told me not to talk to strangers, so yeah. I don't know. I'm just like super I don't know, but there's like a lot of people coming in now. I'm honestly like not really sure what's going on. I just know I'm zone C, but like I don't know if I'm boarding or not. I'm just waiting in this line that isn't moving. So look at how full this thing is. They said that it's really full, so they're letting people check in bags now, but I need to keep my bag because guess what? I'm gonna be doing SAT on the plane. Hell yeah, bitch! Well guys, update two minutes later. I was supposed to have boarded like a while ago, but I didn't know what zone I was in and I think my zone already passed, so yeah, that's great. There's probably no space for my suitcase now, so. Guys, we're finally boarding. I'm currently boarding. Please pray for me that I don't get a weird person sitting next to me. I managed to get my suitcase up in the thing and I'm seated now, so I'm gonna be taking off right now. So 30 seconds in and kind of feel like we're gonna drop already. Oh my god, there's like really bad turbulence right now and we literally just started the flight. So I have not been to the mainland U.S. in I believe since sixth grade and I'm going to 11th grade, so I haven't been there in five years, so I've never, so I haven't really seen this Pacific Ocean view in a while. I usually fly like the other way into like towards Asia. I guess this is so you can look The airplane is all three-seater, three-seater seats and I feel bad because I originally had a window seat, but then I asked the guy to switch with me so I could sit in the middle, so at least I'd be a little bit closer to the aisle since he told me that he doesn't get up and then while next to me, no, she doesn't really want to talk, I guess, but like I mean it's fine, but I just feel really bad because I have to keep asking her because I need to pee a lot. I don't know, I have a small bladder, you know, and I'm trying to stay hydrated, but yeah, I feel really bad because I have to keep asking her to get up. Okay guys, guess what I'm gonna do now? Hell yeah! I know you guys are probably jealous of me right now, but you know, calm down, you can go get yourself a book. We're gonna pee, don't you know? I really need to pee, but the girl next to me is sleeping and I feel really bad if I have to make her up. So we just landed. I don't really know what's happening, but we don't get to come out yet, so we're just waiting. I was in a scramble. I got a paper cut from my SAT books. Yay! I'm wearing shorts inside of my sweatpants. I'm really hoping that people don't notice because it looks really weird. It was just too easy. Thank you! Guys, I have no idea where I am. Baggage claim B3 because I just followed random people, but I think those people were from like Korea or something. So I'm not in the right area and I'm not sure, but Joy's mom told me that they're at A3, which isn't even on this floor. So now I'm going back up and her mom probably thinks I'm really incapable now. Guys, I'm really surprised. It's kind of cold out here. Oh my god, I kind of like it. This is so cool. It feels like winter in Hawaii, but it's night in San Jose summer, so wow. Okay, I felt unsafe outside, so I came back in and I think I was actually at the correct baggage... What is this baggage claim? You know, when I was going to the airport at first, they asked me if I needed assistance since I was going to be flying alone and I'm a minor. I definitely should have said yes, but I said no because I thought I was going to be okay, but today I'm not that okay right now. I was waiting at that one the whole time, but my stuff was here. Oh my god, I hate myself. It's been like the only suitcase here for the past 10 minutes and I didn't realize. Guys, the security guard is low-key super hot too. I've been here for like five minutes. I've been here for like 15 minutes and already saw like two hotties, so... Hey guys, so I got to their house. Gonna shower now. My hair is really static-y and yeah. I'm so relieved that I finally got picked up. That was wild. Like ever since I landed, it was pretty wild. I had no idea what I was doing. I'm just glad that I finally got to their house safely in one piece with all my luggage. I'm just eating some fried rice and eggs and tomato. It's already two days later, but I'm just editing right now, so I just wanted to say thank you guys so much for watching.
