We love the Rain Bird brand and recently changed most of our sprinkler heads to Rain Bird rotary heads. Here's a quick tip video about how to install and set ranges for your Rain Bird Rotary sprinkler head nozzles.

You can buy different models that spray 90°, 180°, and 360° patterns. The first is great for corners, the second for straight edges, and the last for the middle of larger areas.

We mount ours on high risers in ornamental beds so as to get better coverage.

As for the distance they will cover, that is highly dependent on both water volume and pressure. We use 1" mains, and our water pressure is about 60 PSI. This allows us to set the spray "throw" as low as 3' and as high as 7-8'.
