Dad's like, what is this?
It's a test, Dad.
I'm sorry, I had no idea.
That's what it was if you...
Well, I can't read that.
That's what it says.
It says clear blue right there.
Do you know what you're holding in your mouth?
Yeah, it's a letter.
Congratulations!
But I just thought...
I don't even know.
I'll take good care of you.
When you do...
I'll send a mail, okay?
Oh no, I'm sure you will.
Ashley just got her COVID test back.
And we got some bad news.
I'm just kidding.
It came back negative, which is a good sign.
I still have to wear a mask, but she doesn't have to wear a mask.
And she just had her first contraction ever.
According to her.
She has never had a contraction of all five of our babies.
So, that's pretty cool.
I didn't know that you didn't have them.
I thought you just always...
I thought it was just a normal thing.
You ready?
Yeah, they hurt.
This isn't fun. I'm having them right now.
According to this here graph.
We have about 20 minutes.
It's so weird because we always just know like...
Okay, 20 minutes.
We're going to have a baby.
Because we always have C-sections.
20 minutes and our doctor will be here.
I'm actually getting a spinal this time.
I've never had a spinal.
I've only had epidurals.
I didn't know they were different.
So, they are different.
Yeah, spinal.
Spinal.
So, we'll see how that goes.
Keep you updated.
Put me in coach.
There he is.
The man of legend.
Hello.
He's so cute.
Congratulations.
Thank you.
Congratulations.
Come on up here.
Does this guy have a name?
Not yet.
That's the going trend this week.
The last couple weeks.
It's been very hard to come up with a name.
Pretty chill.
His eyelashes are beautiful.
38.5.
That is a big head.
That one is 2.3.
Do you want to sit up more or is that good?
We have learned
that the more you get up and walk
the faster you recover.
Ashley has gotten up like 15 times
on her own without help
just because she knows
how much better it is.
This is 2 days after surgery.
Like exactly 2 days, right?
Almost to the hour.
This is 2 days after surgery, 48 hours
and we're actually going home today.
We just have to wait until 7
because she had a fever yesterday
at 7 o'clock and it finally broke at 7.
So, they make you stay 24 hours
after a fever, which is good.
I just want to go home.
I will tell you this though.
If you're someone who has C-sections
the more you do, the easier it is.
It took me 5 days to stand up after my first one.
Literally, 5 days.
I was in a wheelchair.
I was not walking anywhere.
It's weird.
You're cruising around all on your own.
Today is Friday.
We got here on Wednesday
and we would have left this morning
but I spiked a fever last night
and then they don't let you leave
unless it's been 24 hours without a fever
so I'm the one we're waiting to leave on.
But then, just now
my fever is coming back
so my doctor is concerned about what could be causing that.
So, I have to be here
until I'm not running a fever.
If it gets to 100.4, they're going to make me
stay another 24 hours.
So, that's what we're looking out for.
Otherwise, we would have been home
this morning.
We were packing our stuff up ready to go
and then they're like,
no, you can't leave until
you can show no sign of a fever.
Look at his baby.
Look at him.
He looks so tan.
When I got to the hospital
the first day,
they had me do a COVID test
and I was like, no, I was so dreading that.
I would rather have an epidural
than the horror stories I've heard about these.
But, it was not bad.
They used a small Q-tip
and they didn't need to go as far deep down.
I guess.
Anyway, it wasn't that bad.
I have a really dry mouth.
So, sorry if that's annoying.
It's hard to talk and my throat always
sounds like this after I give birth.
In every video I've ever done,
I just have such an itchy, scratchy voice
after. So, that's an update
so far.
Thomas just went out to get my prescriptions
in case we can go home tonight.
I want them before pharmacy's closed.
So, I'm just going to wait on him.
And then we have a really yummy dinner
that the hospital made for us.
I'll show you guys what it looks like,
but they do this for every couple
while you're staying,
which I think is really cool.
This is the first time we've delivered at this hospital
and we've had a great experience.
Are you making sounds?
I don't know if you guys can hear that.
I'm a huge fan
of this place now
because they bring us some romantic
dinner. Like, what?
How sweet is that?
Dinner and a movie.
Where are we?
We're going home.
Oh my goodness.
It's a hot day, huh?
Home.
We get to show you your
room.
You guys see his little head?
Why is everything
so little?
Hold his head.
Oh my goodness.
At first I'm like, he looks like none of them.
Now he does. That's you?
Look out, Ezra. Don't kick his head.
Oh my goodness.
Yeah, and then he grew up, huh?
Ezra.
Oh my goodness.
I didn't know she actually
You guys sang him happy birthday?
That was so cute, huh?
Look how big Ezra
is next to him, huh?
Do you remember when Ezra was that size?
Wow.
So many.
He's telling everyone
that that's me.
Ezra, can you believe he came out?
He's actually born,
huh?
Yeah.
