Chiffon Cream Chalk paint: This was used on the mirror, glass vases, jars, and the shelf! If possible, purchase from your local ACE hardware store! They sell their Chalk paints for $9, and everywhere else I've found charges about DOUBLE that price!!
Greenish/tan paint: This is Milk Paint purchased from Sweet Pickins in the color "Proper." https://www.sweetpickinsfurniture.com/product/proper You have to order online (unless you live in Magna Utah to pick up). Mlik paint comes in powder form, and you mix equal parts power + Warm water. If you want a smooth surface, you'll also want to mix equal parts Extra bond - https://www.sweetpickinsfurniture.com/product/extra-bond Otherwise it will be extremely chippy (which is a look I usually go for, but for my dresser and some other things, I wanted it smooth.)

All right, we just sold our bed.
I already found another bed.
So, we've had mismatched nightstands
for quite some time now,
but I have been keeping my eye out at thrift stores
to find ones that I like that I can paint
the same color I'm going to paint the dresser that I found.
But this is what things are looking like right now.
Once I have our bed here,
then I will get it put together.
We are gonna paint the walls.
This whole room is gonna look so different.

Okay guys, now I wanna kinda walk you through
where I got everything, starting with my dresser
and my mirror.
So this is where I found it, it was on Facebook Marketplace.
I ended up selling the nightstand
because it had one nightstand with it for 40 bucks.
So I really only got this for 60.
This isn't going to be a full-blown tutorial,
but what we did is we first primed it with some shellac,
then Thomas did one coat of chalk paint,
and then we did our second coat with our milk paint,
which was in the color proper.
Don't worry, I will have every single thing
I'm talking about linked below,
unless it is something from the actual thrift store.

Moving on to my mirror.
Okay guys, I saw this mirror on Facebook Marketplace.
The lady said I had purchased it,
and then she wrote me back to say
someone offered her double the money,
so someone paid her 50 bucks.
I was so frustrated because I felt like
I had scored with this mirror,
so I actually went on Amazon
and I typed in standing mirror.
I found one almost exactly like this for 50 bucks.
So I felt like I kind of scored.
I wanted it to be this orange color
because I wanted to paint it with some chalk paint
to give it more of that distressed, rough look.
So as you can see here, I will be doing two coats of paint.
I do not tape it off.
It is so easy to wipe off.
All you have to do is spray it with some Windex
or any other kind of glass cleaner,
and the paint will just wipe right off.
Once my second coat was dry, I took a wet cloth
and I wet distressed the entire mirror.
And that's how you're going to get
this really nice distressed look
without ever having to sand.

Okay, now to end it, I just want to do a quick walkthrough
and just point and tell you where everything is from.
Okay, so these two candlesticks from the DI,
they actually have their price tag on them,
and it says 29 on that one.
Oh, and 25.99.
This, they were super banged up.
I don't know if you can tell, it's really bent.
But I had Thomas force it down.
It was really hard, but they look fine.
I think they look great.
Candles are also from the DI.
They had big chunks out of them,
but I just turned them just right,
and I'm going to light them.
You would never know they were really banged up.
I already explained all of these thrift store finds
in another video, so if you didn't see that,
I will have that linked right here,
and I will also have it linked below.
That's basically everything on this dresser.
I already shared that the dresser and the mirror
were from Facebook Marketplace, so keep your eye out,
because I see dressers like this posted every single day
on Facebook gear itself, so if this is a look
you're going for, it will be very easy
for you to find one just like it.
The mirror was supposed to be thrifted
or from Facebook Marketplace.
I already explained that too,
but I did purchase this from Amazon,
and I will have that linked below.
This light I've had for like six years,
and I cannot remember where I bought that,
so sorry about that, but I'm sure that if you looked,
you could probably find one even on Amazon.
I have also had this for several years,
but I did see it at Hobby Lobby recently,
so I guess that's where I purchased it.
The candlestick and this cute little vase
is from the thrift store.
I did get this on Amazon, and I made this.
Now, for the mantle and the fireplace,
I will have a video going up tomorrow or the next day,
just a full-on DIY on how we did this.
It was super easy, you guys, and it was under $40,
so I'm really excited to share that video with you guys,
so stay tuned for that.
We did purchase the bed from Amazon,
and also this blanket.
I had my eye on this blanket forever, you guys,
but they have been sold out everywhere,
so I only could find this ivory color.
I did kind of want more of a gray color,
but they said that they wouldn't be in stock till July,
so I'm like, well, we'll just go with ivory,
and I think it looks fine.
I do like how it turned out,
so it is the softest blanket I have ever had in my life,
and I love that it covers everything,
so if there's stuff under the bed, nobody knows.
Amazon, Amazon, and these.
Obviously, this came with the bedspread,
and then I got these pillow covers on Amazon as well,
and I've had that just forever.
Everything right here was from the thrift store.
That's also in that video that I talked about.
Curtains are from, I don't wanna guess
because I've had those for a long time,
but we did just get new rods from Walmart for nine bucks,
and they're really big rods.
I love those, and they extend to 84 inches
if you need them to be bigger,
so that's a really, really good deal,
and you can see my reflection right now,
and then as far as the lights,
these were original with the house.
They were brown.
We spray-painted them gold when we first moved in,
and now I painted them black,
so they've been quite a few different colors.
This clock I actually got from the DI.
I will show you the original picture right here.
That was five bucks.
Don't know where I got that plant.
That's old, and it's dusty, and nice, okay,
and then I did find the two nightstands
on Facebook Marketplace.
I wanted to find something that looked similar
to this dresser, and I thought that those were pretty close,
you know, especially from far away.
You would never know, but yeah.
I think that's basically it.
Thank you guys so much for watching,
and stay tuned for the fireplace video,
and I do also have another thrift store video
coming up this week where I just go to this thrift store,
and I share with you my favorite secrets
of shopping secondhand.
