Hey everybody, welcome to our home. We've been living in this condo for about three years now.
This has been a highly requested video and so I'm excited to share our space with you.
So as soon as you come in, you're welcomed onto the second level here with the kitchen
and the dining room and then directly to the right is our pantry. It's a small pantry. We've
got some bins and baskets and everything separated. We don't use labels but we just
kind of know where everything is and this system works for us. And then there's another door off
to the left of the pantry and that is our half bath. This is the only restroom on this level
so it's really convenient to have. This is where I also tend to do my hair and my makeup just
because it's next to the coffee and the kitchen which is where I do most of my getting ready in
the morning. We don't have many decorations in this space but the decorations that we do have
are mostly handmade ceramics from my daughters. And this is our dining area. I've got a mixture
of some artificial plants like succulents as well as some real plants that we have in various
planters throughout the house and hanging in some of these boho macrame plant holders. And of course
I have my space for coffee. We have a little coffee station that's just dedicated to the espresso
machine and the Keurig and then below that is Charlie's station for her dog food and water bowl.
And attached to the dining room is our kitchen and it's pretty small and simple as far as kitchens go.
Nothing too grandiose. We did renovate it in the past year so we had white quartz countertops put
in and a new sink and faucet and then I did the backsplash myself. On the surface we just keep
things that are functional and that go with the aesthetic of the space. We're in the process of
using un-paper towels in between paper towels so we have a hybrid system going on. And our dishes
are pretty basic as well. I like to keep just enough dishes to fit in the dishwasher and one
full load and nothing more. That way we don't have to worry about them backing up. I do really love
these deep sinks and the high faucet. That is not something that we had before our renovations and
I think that it was such a worthy investment. I'll be sure to leave as many links as possible
down in the description in case you see something that you want to check out. The flow and functionality
of this space works well for us even though the cabinets and the drawers are pretty small but we
do keep things pretty streamlined. Everything has a functional space which is just the way that I like
it and we only keep the things that we're actually going to want to use so that saves a lot of space
as well. And my favorite drawer in the whole house is actually this knife drawer that keeps
all of our knives in order and it keeps us from having to have one of those knife blocks out on
the counter. And then down the hall is our living area and my goal for this space was to have as
much space as possible. I really wanted it to be calm but also to feel like an entertainment area
where the whole family would be able to comfortably fit and watch a movie or play games and this
serves that purpose for us very well. We have a little bit of storage back behind the couch with
these cubbies. Currently the top two cubbies are empty because we recently made some changes so
I'm gonna have to redisperse some of our items over here but in the second level we have games
and art supplies and then down at the bottom we have our cords. And I do love a lot of the
ambiance touches that we have in here that really make it feel calm to me which was my goal and I
love our digital picture frame. This was a wedding gift from a friend of ours and it's where we house
all of our photos. Aside from the cubbies we have an entertainment center where we keep batteries
and office supplies and remotes and then underneath we keep just a few handy gaming controllers and
headsets that we're going to regularly use. And then one of my personal favorites this is our
Oculus Quest 2. This is our VR headset. It's where I do a lot of my meditations and a lot of my fitness
training and the girls will hop on and play some games occasionally. I purchased this during the
2020 COVID quarantine. I just wanted to feel like I was in different places occasionally.
We don't have a coffee table because we like to be able to do yoga and play with Charlie but we
have this little mobile table that we put our drinks and books on and of course we have some
throw pillows and blankets. And then back behind the couch in this nook is this desk that fit
perfectly into this space and so this is one of our little office spaces. It was mostly used by
my youngest daughter until recently when things got moved around and I've just got a couple of
pieces to make it feel a little more at home that are set out on the shelves. And then up on the
third floor we have the bedrooms and bathrooms. This used to be both of my daughter's shared room.
We actually just made some changes over the past week and now it belongs to my youngest daughter.
She's had this Ikea bed frame with a built-in desk for a while now and we absolutely love it.
We found it secondhand on OfferUp for a steal and it has been a great addition to this bedroom.
And she's got her closet with plenty of closet space. And it's right down the hall from our
bedroom. Now in the hallway is our only picture frame that's got photos of the girls when they
were little as well as myself and Matt. In between the two bedrooms are two mirrored bathrooms.
This one is for myself and Matt. And we just keep some small visual and functional decoration pieces
on these shelves here. It's a little ladder shelf system. And again this is a pretty small and
simple space. So we keep things like the trash bin and the scale underneath the shelf ladder
to save space. And our shower bath combo is pretty basic. I try to keep just one shampoo,
one conditioner, and then we have two soaps because Matt likes his body soap. And I like
to use these bars of soap that I get from the farmer's market. I get a metal razor for Christmas
and I got a little bit of aloe vera in there for any cuts. And we did buy a bidet for our toilet
which you may have seen in our eco-friendly video where I tried some eco-friendly products.
It turns out I love it so we do still have it. We keep most of our products in the medicine cabinet.
Matt's are on the left and mine are on the right. I'm still using these face pads that
were also from the eco-conscious video. I found that they actually hold up really well.
And the last room on the third floor is our master bedroom. And I love our master bedroom.
It's so cozy and it has exactly the minimal slightly boho vibe that I was going for.
I lived in Arizona in the desert area and I came to really love just desert plants and
the desert scenery. And in fact Matt proposed to me at Antelope Canyon and right afterwards we went
to Horseshoe Bend. So the big picture that's hanging behind our bed is actually of Horseshoe
Bend which brings back sentimental memories for us. So I do love how our bedroom means something
to us in many different ways. The closet off to the side is a shared closet. I use the right side,
Matt uses the left side, and we keep our full season of clothes inside the closet at all times.
And then I also store my books and any journals that I'm currently using in there as well.
These little name pieces I picked up at a friend's wedding. She had these cute little wooden
personalizations made for the seating arrangement and I thought that it was so cute that we put them
on our lamps which by the way I installed myself and they are amazing. And this duvet cover set
was gifted by my mother-in-law and I absolutely love it. It's by Ivelo and it's 100% linen, so soft.
Now off to the left is where our office is for the bedroom. The right side of the desk is mine,
the left side is Matt's. Matt has his dual screen monitor set up. You probably noticed a lot of my
videos being recorded right here with this backsplash and this is also where I do quite
a bit of my journaling. This lamp is one of my favorite pieces in this bedroom because
it will adjust the warmth, it'll adjust the lighting, and then if you touch and hold the
little loop it actually adjusts to whatever the ambience of the room is. So this is our bedroom.
There's only one space that you haven't seen yet and that is back down at the entry. There's a door
to the left to the garage. Right now we have a big heavy gray curtain hung up and if you pull that
curtain back you will see my oldest daughter's studio bedroom. She's been sharing a room with
her sister for many years now and she was just ready for her own space. Now if you've been
following me very long then you remember when I turned the back of this garage into my personal
office. Well now it has been transformed again. So we did make the room larger, we pushed back the
railing and the curtains and added more curtains for temperature regulation and for silence and
noise canceling. She painted this accent wall black which I think adds a really nice moody vibe
to the space and she is loving it down here. And if you pull back the curtain on the other side of
her room you will see our laundry facilities. Of course these were always down here but we do have
some nice display shelves that we've put up and some items to kind of make it feel a little more
decorative. So that's our home. I'm so happy that I was able to share that with you and I hope that
you enjoyed it. Be sure to like this and subscribe if you haven't already. I share all about holistic
and clutter-free spaces and I will chat with you soon.
