Welcome everyone, my name is Jessica and this is Simple, Cheap and Easy DIYs.
Use this little wooden frame with the little wooden beads that I got from Dollar Tree
and I'm just going to remove the back off and it's really easy to do so.
It just has the little metal clips like on a regular picture frame
so you'll just pry those up and then remove the backing out.
Now I did try to remove the paper off the top of the back but that didn't remove so well so
I'm just going to leave it as is but I'm going to take this scrapbooking paper that I got from
Hobby Lobby and I'm just going to set the back onto the paper and then trace that square out
and cut those out using my scissors. Now taking my glue stick I'm just going to apply glue all
over the back and then once I have that glue stick and the glue applied all on the back I'm
going to take the scrapbooking paper and place that on and then once that's fully dry this is
what it will look like and then I'll just place that back into the frame and this is what it will
look like. Now you can leave it like this but I decided to take this metal joy word that I got at
Dollar Tree and I'm going to paint that in the bright red apple barrel paint and then once that
paint's fully dry I'm going to apply a little bit of hot glue and glue that on top of the frame that
way it does give it kind of a 3d effect and here's your completed project. Start off by taking this
triangle shaped box and I'm just going to push out the back of the triangle and if there's any glue
that's left over on the triangle like you see here you'll just want to go ahead and remove any pieces
that you can see. The pieces that you can't see we can just leave those as is since we'll be
attaching the back of the triangle back onto the box but once you have all that removed I am going
to remove the sticker off the back of the triangle backing. You can leave it if it doesn't bother you
but I went ahead and removed it off and depending on whether you're going to be painting the back
or using scrapbooking paper you can use either side either the back side or the side that had
the paper on it but I'll repeat these steps on four of the triangle shaped boxes. Next I'm going
to take the scrapbooking paper that I got at Hobby Lobby and taking the back of the triangle I'll just
trace that out using my pencil and I'm going to repeat that on for all four of the triangle backs.
Once I have all four of the triangles cut out I'm just going to take my glue stick. I do find this
is the fastest and easiest way for me to attach the scrapbooking paper. I'm just going to place
that all over the back of the triangle and then place the scrapbooking paper on. It doesn't have
to line up 100 perfect so it's okay if it's a little bit off but once that dries I'm just
going to take my hot glue and attach that back to the frame of the triangle. Now I'll repeat that on
all four of my triangles and here's what it will look like once you have the backs attached.
Once you have that done on all four triangles I'm going to start assembling them as you can see here
to actually form a larger triangle or a tree shaped shelf. Now you can apply hot glue or a wood glue
where the triangles meet but I didn't want to do that in case I want to reuse the triangles. I
didn't want to mess up the sides so what I did was actually just take some of these larger craft
sticks and I attached them where each of the triangles meet and this works out for what
I need since I'm not going to really be moving it around but you can do it this way or you can glue
the triangles directly together whichever you prefer. Like I said I just want to possibly reuse
these triangles for a different project and that's why I applied the popsicle sticks to it.
Once you have the triangles connected together whichever method you use this is what it will
look like once it's completed and then we'll go ahead and move on to decorating it. For decorating
this shelf I'm actually going to take these reindeer that I got at Dollar General and they
were one dollar each. I'm going to be using three of these brown colored reindeers and I'm just
going to apply a little bit of hot glue to where the reindeer will meet the box. Again that way if
I decide I want to change it out and the reindeer is a little bit larger than the inside of the box
which actually works out for me because I did glue that to the edge of the triangle and this actually
gives a 3d effect and what I'll do with the reindeer is I'm going to apply one on each side
and then I'm going to place one at the very top leaving the center triangle open. Once you have
all the reindeers attached this is what it will look like and then next I'm going to take this
little bag of reindeer feed that I got also at Dollar General for one dollar. I'm just going to
place that with a little bit of hot glue into the center triangle to complete and have something in
each of the little triangle squares. Now taking this metal believe word that I got at Dollar Tree
I'm going to take the apple barrel paint in the color bright red and I'm just going to paint that
metal word. I did actually go back and give a couple more coats to make it a little bit brighter
and I'm also going to take two little pieces of craft stick and paint them in that same paint
color. Once the paint's dry I'm going to apply a little bit of hot glue to each of the craft sticks
and attach that behind the word. This is actually going to make it look raised off of the
shelf and give it more of a 3d look but once I have those two little craft sticks glued onto
the word I will then just go ahead and glue the word onto the middle of my shelf.
Here's what it will look like once you have your little sign attached. Like I said I did go back
over that and make that paint a little bit brighter on the believe but here's your completed
little reindeer Christmas tree shelf. I'm going to be taking this triangle shaped box that I got at Dollar
Tree and this scrapbooking paper that I got at Hobby Lobby and I'm just going to place the triangle
on the scrapbooking paper and trace that out and then using my scissors I'll just cut the triangle.
Once I have the triangle cut out to make sure that it fits in the center this is the way that
I found easiest for me. I'm just going to place the paper upside down on top of the
triangle and then measure out the width of the wood like you can see here and then once I have
that measured on all sides I'll just take my ruler to mark out the lines and then cut the additional
scrapbooking paper off. That way it fits right inside the box. Now I know that there's a lot of
different ways that you can do this to measure the paper to fit inside the box so leave me a comment
down below and let me know which way works best for you. This is just the way that I found works
better for me. Now that I have the triangle cut to fit inside the box using my glue stick I'm just
going to apply glue all over the inside of the box. Once I have that glue all in place I'm going
to take the scrapbooking paper and just place that inside of my triangle box here and make sure that
that is all smoothed out to move on to the next step. I'm taking this cut wood that I got from
Dollar Tree. I'm just going to make sure that it's centered and that it sets flat. Once I make sure
that it's how I like it I'm just going to apply a little bit of hot glue and glue the box onto
the stem. Now taking this little reindeer that I got at Dollar General for one dollar I'm going to
apply a little bit of hot glue to the nose and a little bit of hot glue to the tail and I'm just
going to glue that onto the outline of the triangle. That way it gives it a 3D effect and then once you
have the little reindeer glued in place this is what it will look like. Then I'm going to take
this little buffalo check or plaid ribbon that I also got at Dollar General. I'm going to apply a
little bit of hot glue to the back of the ribbon and then place that on the top of the triangle.
And here's the completed project. I'm going to use this little wooden frame with the little
wooden beads that I got from Dollar Tree and I'm just going to remove the back off and it's really
easy to do so. It just has the little metal clips like on a regular picture frame so you'll just
pry those up and then remove the backing out. Scrapbooking paper that I got from Hobby Lobby
and I'm just going to set the back onto the paper and then trace that square out and cut those out
using my scissors. I'm going to glue all over the back of the frame backing and then once I have that
glue all in place I'll just take my scrapbooking paper place that on and make sure it's fully
smoothed out and dry. Once you have all your paper glued down you'll just place the backing back into
the frame and then bend the little metal clasps back in place to hold that. Here's what your
completed project will look like. For these next few DIYs I'm actually not going to be doing a
voiceover. I am just going to let some Christmas music play to help everyone get into the Christmas
spirit. I do know it's a little bit early for Christmas but I also know that everyone likes
to start their Christmas DIYs early so I hope you do enjoy and I will continue with my voiceovers in
my upcoming videos. Leave me a comment down below and let me know which DIY was your favorite and
now I'm going to go ahead and start the Christmas music and again I hope everyone has a great day.
