Oh yes it's boiling
Welcome to Kimber Bushcraft
As you can see I have some new things I'd
like to show them to you in a minute
First of all my
coffee is boiling So it
needs to boil for about a minute or two
Then I can move it away from the fire
And let it sit for minutes
I'll add a bit more fireworks
Take a break and enjoy nature
I am in Rål Forest
And when I upgraded my pack frame
I am actually in this part
of the place And it's so
cool It's very dark and
mysterious And I love being here
So I'm glad that you're with me in my little development here
It's a special Christmas nose
And I will tell you about it a bit later
But I think it will be my last video for the year
I have decided to spend my Christmas holidays with my family
And I know that you all understand
Even though I have plans
if the water is okay I have
plans to go out and make
the last video in my trilogy
e viking series
But it's hanging on
water and so on
But I'm very happy to do it
So I hope I can do this
here in this little Christmas
Well I think water is water
And then I'd like to show you a little thing
which I actually made myself
Wait a minute My
mug or my little pot which
I use for coffee I've
made such a little hook
What I can use when I hang my coffee
But of course it's hot
So I actually got a little bit of a leader
But it's the first time I see
whether it works as a hook Well
coffee
Let's see
Oh perfect Can you
see it No
distortion
No The
only thing is that this one is warm I don't know
Maybe I should have pulled
it down but then I could
have inserted a plug into
it Maybe I can still do it No
I need to work a bit on that problem
But a problem is always a challenge
The first thing I want to show
you is these little cakes which I
have here on my side You can see
that I made them
and a small poster
I don't know what it's
called here I have my little
bottle with my whiskey in
it But this is only temporary
Because I ordered a new
one a round one and I want
to customize it But this
fits here and nice down here
Yes On the
other hand
I have one like that the
same but here I
have something
special
I will bring you a bit closer you can see Yes
And this small bottle
which I made from birth bread
Here inside I have
something Actually it
was necessary to be for
my first-day package
I put something
in a new knife and
a bottle
it's not really Viking-like
Men in a random situation it's nice to
have this with me and
this bandage as well
So this little
bag is nice
and this little bag too and then I'll
show you this one just
a minute And this little bag
Can you call it a haversack
which I made from linen
So it's a factory
which they used in the Viking age
and you can see here
that I stuck it here but
it wasn't the sticking
that held it together
I actually used a new machine
But here I have my picture
and my phone
and so on my tobacco
You can see here
I just close it like that
And I actually made a little
tutorial about the process
in this It's not a big
tutorial but you can see it here
I hope you like this little tutorial
It is very easy to make
such a little bag
I have a backpack which I can put my things in when I'm
out on my Viking hikes
Actually I bought
some wooden chains
some holey wooden
chains from Grimfrost
I haven't used them yet
I'm waiting for the right moment
and some basements
and some wooden chains
all Viking-style
And it's actually for that
because the wooden chains don't have hands in them
So I can't have my thing in the wooden chains
So this one
is an alternative to it
And I think
It is very used when I am
out and makes
my viking thing
Yes
And here is my new pot-hanger system
It's from a company in England
called TJM Metalworks
They're making
them again
I think they're cool
They're old And as you
saw I can put it down
Raise it
higher swing it
So there are many different users for it
And I think
I love it
very much It is good
hands and very stable
It is right
and perfect
And I think it will keep it alive
So
TJM Metalworks
in England
The only thing was that it took me
A month before I got it
I'm not exactly sure why they say
it was because of the corona masks
Men Han arbejder alene i hans workshop
-show Jeg
tror de har mange ordre
i Men det gælder ikke
I really need it And
as you saw
I've taken
a small step for that
So I can transport it
On the front
of my backpack
and secure it there And as
you can see it doesn't take
much space when
it's assembled
And here in this bag
And the reason
this video is called
Jule-Nesse Special
is because I want to tell you
A little
about our little people here in the Norwegian
Scandinavian Næssanem Yes I
posted some
pictures on Instagram
with some drawings
and pictures from
different websites
about Næssanem
And I got a lot of responses
They asked me if I
could tell more I
promised to do so in
a Christmas special
And it is today
So yes First
and foremost
I would like to tell
you the story of Næssanem
and when they first came
In Scandinavian history
The Næssanem have
existed in Scandinavian culture
for centuries
The first time
There was a man
in 1981 There
is a story from
Iceland about
a farmer who called it "Year
Man" and it was
a small person
He helped him
so that his
farming was successful
Men if Næssanem would
help him the farmers
would be next
to him and
give him
food every day
And maybe a small berry so
that this little
nose was happy
And then he wanted to help
the farmers to get a good body
so that his animals do no
was injured or got sick
And at first
it was only
in the country that the
elves lived
in the forests
and later came
to the farms
and were in the woods or
other places and helped the
farmers again
But if the noses
was injured or was treated
badly he could be very
angry and there are
stories that
say the cheeks
Actually the fire started in
the forests so all the forests
burned down and the farmers
had to move to another place
Location That's why one must be
cautious around these little people
Actually when I
had children every
Christmas we would set
a small bowl of smoke
the forests
for the cliffs
and of course
my children
believed it and for a
long time the day after
Stay away from the
woods I don't know maybe
there's something about
the facts in
the noses bu
She 100 years ago also
moved to the city and
was part of city life
But again
one had to be
Be very careful and do
not harm or answer
the little people
because they
have a cold temperature
So one must be careful with them
Noses are still a big
part of our culture
They are called næsser in Norway
and in Sweden they
are called tomter
This is the name
for the land the
area where the farm is located
without buildings
Men it's the same story
about the noses and as
I said before they have
been part of our culture
and as you can see in this picture we hang them
on our Christmas berries
and I had a lot of nuts
All the things I
put around my house when it's
Christmas And nuts are not
the same as alp who helps
Jule Santa Claus or
something like
that Næsser
has nothing to do with
Christmas or Santa Claus
So nisse are not elves
or gnomes or small
people They are nisse
here in Scandinavia
And then I have
a little contest for you You can't win
anything but I think it could
be a fun way to wrap up this year
I have some scenes
with crows and I
actually haven't
gotten the number yet
The number of times I
have sneezed
in my video
clip So check them out
my sneezes
in this video
Maybe you can find them
all Some are easy and some
are hard to find as I have
written well in my Fujitsu
So yes
And then I would like to say
Merry Christmas and
a Happy New Year or a
Merry Christmas if you
are not a Christian
It's been a wild year
for me I've gained a lot
of subscribers and I'm so grateful for that
Other than that I have
slightly changed my style to
Viking and I think it's very
interesting
And if I loo
The number of views on my videos
so I can see that many of you
share the same opinion
about these topics
So I will continue in this direction
In this way and make more
videos with a little Viking
twist But again
I will still
make my Kimber Camp videos
With overnights
and so on
and also some trips where
I have my good backpack
and other things with me
So I hope you're following
me and I hope you're
enjoying it And this year
I've also had a big wish
Some come true I got
a cannon and I made
some videos with it
It's not a big deal
I think I should combine it
with some overnight stays or
something like bushcraft and
then I think it will become
A bit more interesting for you to see
And my hope is
that this year
or next year 2021
Can I make a
trip to Sweden
and a great trip to Sweden
with a friend so I can
make a video or some videos
From this area
It's a cool place I've been there before
in cannons a long time ago
when I wasn't a YouTuber
So I'm looking forward to it
There are many
rivers in Denmark
which I can go on
and maybe I will do that too
My main focus
will be on
Viking and Viking style
I think it's something
that's not that crazy
and it is part
of my heritage
and my culture and I love
it very much I read a lot
about Vikings and all that
and it gives me plenty of
space to bring
this information
to you and sometimes you
comment on something I do
You say it's not Viking
style maybe not but
that doesn't matter It's
the experience you have
When you watch my videos
The meeting the
freedom and
the areas I
film So it's my meeting
to make it look good
So when you see
it you can
feel that you are with me by the way
Hey folks it was all too soon
Thank you for watching Kimba
Bushcraft I really appreciate it I hope you enjoyed it
This little video from
my trip here in this
fantastic area of the Red
Forests Now
soon 2021 comes
and I hope it will be
a better year and I hope
the virus will disappear
when we get the vaccine
So all of you who have
not been able to get
out into nature
and enjoy it can do so again
I know it's very important
and it's important to me
and I know
that many of you
want to do it again So yes
Now I'm packing my teeth
He goes home
and watches this
video on the weekend as
I did
Men in the next few weeks
there will not be a video I
will be at home
and enjoy my
family My son is coming home
And my daughter will
be visiting us so it
will be a fantastic
vacation
with my family
So thanks again
for watching Kimber
Bushcraft and I hope
to see you again in 2021
