Hey guys, Sean with American Window Concepts. Today, let's talk about the best window options
for your home that'll last you a lifetime. So let's talk about the three different styles
of windows that'll last you a very, very long time. One is going to be fiberglass,
the other is going to be a very high-grade aluminum style window, and then a high-grade
vinyl. In a lot of other videos, I always say to watch out for low-grade vinyl. It has a bad
wrapping for all the right reasons. So always, if you're going to look at vinyl windows,
always go for the high-grade of vinyl. With vinyl, and I have a piece here, if you're going to invest
your money into a vinyl window, you want to make sure, and how do you determine that it's a high-
grade vinyl, is by asking the manufacturer. You can always call a manufacturer and ask them if
they have titanium dioxide blended into their vinyl. If the answer is no, just say no. You're
not interested in that, because what'll happen is it will start to yellow and powder. The surface
of it will start to turn white or tan, and you can get it on your hands, and it's just, it's not good.
It's a horrible blend of vinyl, so you want the titanium dioxide, and that will keep the sheen
nice. That'll keep everything looking beautiful for a lifetime. How are you going to warrant a
window for life if things like that are going wrong? Vinyl is a very, very great option. The
next would be fiberglass. Fiberglass is a great material in that it also doesn't transfer heat,
cold, or sound. It's a very, very great insulator, and it doesn't really move much, so unlike vinyl,
vinyl has a propensity to actually, with heat, expand a little bit, cold, contract a little bit,
so that you have to deal with with vinyl. With fiberglass, you don't have to deal with that.
It's a really, really durable, very strong material, and the cool thing about that is they
will come with a full lifetime warranty as well. Costs more, but it's beautiful, and the cool thing
about fiberglass is that if you want to have the black interior, no problem. You can paint your
windows however many times you want, and originally, you can order your windows from the manufacturer
with several different color options. You could do white, you could do a tan, you could do black
inside and out. The way the trends are now, a lot of people like that. They like to have that black
interior, and that's a great option, and it lasts forever, you know, essentially. The other is going
to be a very high grade of aluminum. The cool thing about aluminum is it's very, very strong.
Bigger window walls, like if you see some of these homes that are like multi-million dollar,
and they have these huge windows that are huge view. Well, the way they can get that is by using
these aluminum style frames, like you would see in a building, right, like a commercial building.
You can do the same thing to your house with aluminum, so they can build them
really in so many different ways. It's amazing what you can do with an aluminum window,
and then there's certain brands out there that you want to make sure that you know about.
The other thing about aluminum windows, or doors in this case, is that a lot of the
bifolding doors that have these huge gaping openings are going to be usually an aluminum
style of door. They're fantastic, so a lot of people who have these million dollar views are
like, I want this wide, wide door that opens up completely wide, so that way they can integrate
the interior with the exterior of their home. Well, you're going to get that with aluminum,
but again, you always want to make sure that whatever window system you're looking at,
that's going to last you a very, very long time. It is going to cost you a little bit more,
but you're also looking for the highest performing. Whether it's vinyl, fiberglass,
or aluminum, you're looking for the upper echelon, then you're going to have a window that's going
to have a great warranty. It's going to last you a lifetime. Hopefully this helps out. Any
questions, always reach out. Thank you so much. Hey guys, if you live in the central coast of
