In this video, I'm going to show you how to easily loop music in Premiere Pro.
This is the remix.
Oh, come on, don't you remember when songs used to do that back in the day?
Hey, what's up, y'all?
My name is Relly and to help explain how to use the remix tool in Premiere Pro,
I downloaded four songs from Epidemic Sound that are different genres just
to show you that this really works for all types of music.
The old way of looping your audio in Premiere Pro was setting your in and out
point, dragging it to the timeline and then duplicating or dragging a copy right
beside it and listening over and over again to see if it loops perfectly.
And then once it does, if it's not long enough, you then copy
that entire section however many times you need and so on.
Or you just use Adobe Audition.
That's also another option.
But no, we're not doing any of that because this video is all about the remix.
Now, after you find the part of the song
that you want to loop, drag that to the timeline.
All you have to do is go over here,
click and hold on the ripple edit tool and click on the remix tool.
The sound panel might open automatically.
And if it does with the track selected, assign it to music.
With that selected, go to your music track
and just click and drag the end of the clip to match whatever length you need it
to be. In this case, I need it to be longer to match my clip.
It updates super fast, which is just insane to me.
It does say plus or minus five seconds,
so it might not match up perfectly to what you want.
It just depends on the song you have.
And if you change your mind, you can click and make it longer or shorter
and it will update just like that.
It's like you click and drag and you release and then update.
You click and drag again, update again.
It's pretty good.
That's what I'm trying to say.
If you would rather type in the duration
of the remix audio, then you can switch to the audio workspace by clicking up here,
click on the checkbox next to the duration and then click and change the duration.
It's that simple.
These little jagged lines are where Premiere looped it.
And you can listen back to see
if you like it or if you need to make any changes, anything like that.
If you want to take it a little further,
you can go back to the audio workspace and click the dropdown arrow right by
customized with these two sliders, you can have more or less segments
in your remix and you can have Premiere focus on the melodic side
or the harmonic side of things.
It's really your personal preference.
So with all that being said, here's a few remix tracks from Epidemic Sound.
It's.
Now you're probably wondering or thinking
to yourself, and before you go down there and comment, you're probably like,
what about all the songs with lyrics in them?
How do you loop those perfectly?
I'm sorry, you know, actually, no one really sounds like that.
But here are a few examples of the lyrics being looped.
The only thing I would say with songs
with lyrics is you just have to make sure that the lyrics make sense.
And the loop parts, like if they're talking about stuff being orange
and then all of a sudden they're talking about Taco Bell, it won't make sense.
You just got to pay attention to the lyrics and make sure they make sense.
As far as the remix tool in the looping, all of that in Premiere,
I personally could see myself using this more often when I'm doing videos like this
where I have a talking headshot and I just need background bed music
in the background and I will just loop that over and over and over again.
So now, you know, a simple, quick, fast, rapid, easy insert, another synonym
way to loop music in Premiere Pro, the remix tool, because this is the remix.
Hopefully this remix tool will help you edit faster in Premiere Pro.
And if you don't see it, you might just need to update your Premiere Pro software.
And if you don't see it after that,
I unfortunately can't help you. I'm sorry.
Thanks for watching this video.
Don't forget the thumbs up bell.
And I appreciate all of you.
I'll see you in the next one.
The remix.
I feel like I should be like on a radio show right now.
Actually, I don't think I have the radio voice for it.
But, ooh, the remix.
This is the remix.
The remix.
You are listening to the remix.
It's the remix.
Bye.
