Hi, my name is Deborah D'Angelo and I'm very, very proud to say that I am an Insight tour director.
Now, I am also known as a regional tour director, which means I only work in one region and I'm
very, very happy to say that region is beautiful, an exciting country of Italy. We have many,
many different itineraries in Italy. I want to tell you just about one ever so briefly,
and that happens to be the best of Italy. Classic, classic itinerary, very, very popular amongst our
Insight guests. Starts in Rome, city of Rome, absolutely fantastic. We see the antiquities,
the Vatican, all of those things. And then after that, we move up to the beautiful, beautiful
town of Assisi. Beautifully preserved, medieval village. We have one of our local experts taking
you through the Basilica of Saint Francis. It's like a giant illuminated manuscript,
absolutely gorgeous. From there, we head up to the fascinating city of Venice,
floating city on the water for many, one of their highlights of an Italian itinerary.
And also, too, we make it a bit special because one of our signature experiences happens to be
a gondola ride, but we do it with style. We include music. It is a gondola serenade,
so you're gliding through the canals and we have this fantastic tenor voice who is singing.
The music is echoing off the walls. It sends goosebumps up your arms. Really, really exciting.
A beautiful, beautiful feature. Once after Venice, we leave Venice, we head to the beautiful
city of Florence, where, again, we have some fantastic things for you to see, like the David.
Plenty of free time to do your shopping as well. Once we finish with Florence, we head down south
to the Bay of Naples, to the town of Sorrento. One day, we go out to the island of Capri,
and we really, really do this with some flair and some style. We take the open-top taxis once we get
to the island of Capri, specially designed for the island. Tops are down, sitting out in the sun,
breeze blowing through your hair. Absolutely phenomenal experience.
When we get back to Sorrento, we do spend a couple of days in Sorrento, and then,
unfortunately, it's time to say goodbye. We have a wonderful celebratory dinner,
where everybody kind of reminisces what they've seen,
share photos and things like this for the past ten days, and have a really, really great time.
