Si bien la Administración Biden se diferencia de su antecesora en muchas cuestiones, al menos parecen estar de acuerdo en una amenaza en particular.
The U S president Joe Biden extended a national emergency from the Trump era
The United States prohibits American companies or individuals from investing
in companies linked to the Chinese military
Then President Donald Trump issued Executive Order 13959
in November 2020 citing threats to national security
The order declared a national emergency that halts investments
in companies linked to the People's Liberation Army
In June 2021 Biden went a step further with Executive Order 14032 which prohibited
American investments in companies affiliated with China's military
or surveillance industries
Now with the renewal of Trump's policy Biden extends the national emergency
with regard to investment in Chinese military and surveillance companies
year beyond the previously scheduled end date of November 12
The People's Republic of China is increasingly exploiting the United States' capital to
obtain resources and enable the development and modernization of its military apparatus
of intelligence and other security devices which continues to allow the People's Republic
of China to directly threaten the national territory of the United States and its forces
From the United States abroad
The military-industrial complex of the People's Republic of China continues to constitute
an unusual and extraordinary threat which originates entirely or in a substantial par
Outside the United States against national security foreign
policy and the economy of the United States
In his statement Biden said that the Party's national military-civil fusion strategy
The Chinese Communist Party was to blame as it requires civilian companies in
China to directly contribute to the kingdom's military and intelligence activities
The leader added that because of this those companies should be treated as if they were
part of the military and intelligence apparatus of the PSC therefore
its ability to interact with the US markets must be limited
Those companies although they remain apparently private and civilian directly
support the military and security apparatuses of the People's Republic of China
At the same time these companies raise capital by selling securities to investors
American companies listed on public exchanges both here and abroad pressuring
o U S index and fund providers to include these
Valuing market offers and participating in
other actions to ensure access to U S capital
In the end although the Biden administration differs from its predecessor on
many issues they at least seem to agree on the threat posed by the companies
China which under a facade of
being merely civilian has a dangerous connection with its country's army
