Hi, I'm Sabah and today we are going to explore Pacific Heights,
one of San Francisco's most prestigious and iconic neighborhoods.
Pacific Heights has frequently appeared in many books and movies,
like the Pacific Heights movie or Pacific Heights novel.
What makes this place so great? Let's go find out.
Pacific Heights is located in one of the most scenic settings in San Francisco,
offering sweeping views of the San Francisco Bay,
the Palace of Fine Arts, Alcatraz and the Golden Gate Bridge.
Pacific Heights residents usually enjoy a weather that is clearer than most parts of the city,
thanks to its high elevation.
The neighborhood is located in north central part of San Francisco
and is bordered by California Street to the south,
Van Ness Avenue to the east,
Green Street to the north
and Lion Street and Presidio Avenue to the west.
Although Pacific Heights is one of the most desirable neighborhoods in San Francisco,
this hasn't always been the case.
Pacific Heights became a prime location only after the 1906 earthquake,
when affluent families of Nob Hill lost their homes
and started relocating and rebuilding their mansions on Pacific Heights high grounds.
What better place to start our tour of Pacific Heights
than the Gold Coast or the Billionaire's Row?
These three elegant blocks along Broadway Street,

and an upscale shopping destination for people from all over the city,
making a special trip for the diverse and classy shopping opportunities
that Fillmore Street offers.
You can spot some one-of-a-kind shops as well as brand names in this energized street.
Besides being a shopper's destination,
this street also offers a few great restaurants, bars and coffee shops.
Pacific Heights offers several options for outdoor activities.
Lion Street steps are one of the most wonderful and scenic places in Pacific Heights.
These steps reach their peak at Broadway and Lion Street
and offer gorgeous views of the Marina District, San Francisco Bay and the Palace of Fine Arts.
No matter what time of the day you go there,
you'll see several joggers going up and down these 269 stairs.
Alta Plaza Park with its pyramid-style steps is a popular destination for morning cardio,
especially because you'll get rewarded with a breathtaking view of the city
at the end of your workout.
