Hi, this is Brian Forrester and we are on the Altiplano of Bolivia near Lake Titicaca and
today we're going to be exploring yet again the awesome, ancient, mysterious and thoroughly
enigmatic site called Puma Punku. So Puma Punku is off to the left-hand side in the background.
Unfortunately, you're not allowed to film with a quadcopter there, though I did get away with it
once. So this is just a little intro of the general area near Puma Punku and Tiwanaku
in Bolivia. So here we are actually zooming northwards with the quadcopter and you see
the mountains in the background. That actually is where Lake Titicaca is. So Puma Punku is
presently about seven miles from the shore and this is one of the famous H-blocks of which I'm
sure a lot of you are acquainted with. They're the most famous feature at Puma Punku but what
I'm going to show you is something that few researchers have noticed and that is that one
of them, as in this one, is unfinished. You see the rounded corners and the lack
of the symbol that you saw in the previous one which is like a false door and that's something
that you see replicated many times. So there's a close-up. You can see the rounded corners
and the relatively rough surface inside as compared to the smooth surface on the outside.
So that H-block was never finished and here is a finished H-block. There is the false door symbol
that you can see and below it is another false door symbol in the lower recess. So there again
you see the false door, the lack of the false door, and then this one has another false door
as does this one. There are a total of nine H-blocks in existence. Each one is a different
shape and size. Now here you see the massive slabs of stone. That is red sandstone that you're
looking at. It weighs in at approximately 131 tons and this appears to be the foundation of
Puma Punku. And then all sorts of different shapes of stones. There you see a cross which
is another symbol that you see quite frequently at Puma Punku. Some of the pieces are broken,
some are intact, and this is a very intriguing stone with a perfect groove running down from
top to bottom and these perfectly spaced drill holes that are perfectly evenly spaced one
against each other. I checked that with the calipers. Here again is one of the massive slabs.
Again estimate of its weight is about 131 tons and here's another view of it. Again you see the
rather extreme weathering on the surfaces and then these kind of strange notches which appear
quite evenly spaced at the bottom. This again is that 131 ton slab. The quarry for the red
sandstone is approximately eight miles away to the west, whereas the quarry for the gray
andesite stone is about 50 miles or 55 miles to the northeast. And here you see the actual
excavation. These stones were found in these positions as if a massive cataclysm had occurred
at Puma Punku. So this is the latest style of how I'm making my videos. More like a virtual guide
as if these are your eyes looking at the stones as we walk around. This is the remains of a gate
that's broken into three pieces and when we look inside you can see the very evenly flat surfaces.
Clearly this had to have been done with a machine or several different types of machines
and the whole landscape appears again to be a site of extreme devastation. I think number one
from an ancient cataclysm and then in later times the local people would take the stone
from the area in order to build their own houses. That started probably about a thousand years ago
during the end of the Tiwanaku culture or possibly even 2,000 years ago.
You find several broken pieces but the surfaces again are perfectly flat. Here you see some quite
heavy weathering and there's evidence of where a clamp used to be made of bronze. They were pried
out a long long time ago and recycled and a lot of these stones here are simply lined up. They were
lined up by archaeologists in no particular order so that's why it makes it almost impossible to be
able to try to figure out what Puma Punku originally looked like. There's another one of
the H blocks and then another one there and then these surfaces too. Those ones on the left look
like again that they were never completed. You have this almost sandblasting effect which seems
to be the original tool and then much finer tools come in and create flat surfaces like you see
there. Here again the interesting cross shape or even double cross and this again is that intriguing
stone with the groove in it with the perfectly spaced drill holes and then you see this other
surface with indentations and then that surface again seems to have never been completed and now
we're going to see two more of the H blocks of which again there are nine in total. I don't
think any were taken away. The dimensions of each one is slightly different so they weren't
they were not mass-produced as in in a mold or something like that. Each one was crafted
individually and that's something that most people don't know. So as we get closer up to them again
you see the beautiful flat surfaces then there's the false door and then as we go up you see the
other false door shape and here again with this one there's the false door. A lot of weathering
on this surface. This was probably lying face up in the elements for a long long period of time
whereas other stones appear to have been lying face down. Now Puma Punku is a pyramidal kind of
shape with two to three layers and here you see the original foundation. Those stones perfectly
interlock with one another. No mortar or cement or any kind of filler whatsoever and this excavation
here on the lower section is only about 10 years old so that means that the these stones that
you're looking at were buried under mud and soil for a minimum of 2,000 years but I speculate
that Puma Punku is far far older than this so-called Tiwanaku culture. I think it's at
least 12,000 years old and I believe that that's when it was devastated by a cataclysm which was
global in nature. Then we have this intriguing opening here that some would say would be a water
channel but it's very big in terms of proportion with the structure itself. Once again super tight
fitting blocks and then a complete lack of material. The stone is all gone. I think this is
the point where the cataclysm or the direction where the cataclysm struck and buried Puma Punku.
It came from Lake Titicaca. It was most likely a tsunami and also we know that 12,000 years ago
the surface of Lake Titicaca was 100 feet higher so this was the shoreline of Lake Titicaca 12,000
years ago. And here you see some small steps and then just below a megalithic staircase.
These are huge slabs of red sandstone. You see the extreme heavy weathering. Some of that could
be water weathering because again the level of Lake Titicaca was right here 12,000 years ago
and then below you see later repair possibly during the Tiwanaku culture of 2,000 to 1,000
years ago. Now the gray and andesite stone has very interesting magnetic properties which I will
go through in future videos. The stone itself contains magnetite but there is a relationship
between magnetism and the different angles and surfaces which is quite intriguing.
And then on the eastern side of the pyramidal structure again you see some devastation.
This area too was only excavated somewhere between five I think about five years ago
and so the mud and dirt covered up this whole area for thousands of years and once again we're
traveling around the eastern side of Puma Punku and here again you see the stone that has been
buried for thousands of years and then larger stones on top some of which look like they've
thrown around like they were little blocks. And finally the famous sun gate. Notice the crisp
surface on the front as compared to the heavy weathered surface on the back so it's very clear
that the sun gate was lying face down for again thousands of years and then was re-erected by the
culture some 1,000 to 2,000 years ago. Notice the giant crack that is a catastrophic break that's
not simply from it falling down and snapping and so we also don't know if this is the original
position of the sun gate or whether it was moved from Puma Punku to this location of Tiwanaku
which is next door. So if you're interested in coming on tour we have the elongated skulls tour
of Peru in August of 2019 and then we'll be exploring Turkey in September of 2019. You can
see this all at hiddenincatours.com and this is one of my books Lost Ancient Technology of Peru
and Bolivia volume 2 and Puma Punku and Tiwanaku the strangest ancient site on earth. Thank you
so much for watching please subscribe and share this video.
