“Thank You Kyrie” || A Cleveland Tribute to Kyrie Irving

With the first pick in the 2011 NBA Draft, the Cleveland Cavaliers select Kyrie Irving. I'm looking forward to being in Cleveland. It feels good to finally put a hat on. Congratulations. The Cleveland Cavaliers came flying out of the free agent blocks overnight. Traveling to Jersey to lock down all-star point guard Kyrie Irving to a max deal. Agreeing to five years and $90 million. Tweeting to Cavs fans he's there for the long haul and ecstatic. The big breaking news this hour, LeBron James is going back to the Cleveland Cavaliers. And now he can teach Cleveland. Kyrie Irving, we'll see if they get Kevin Love. I think it's a great story. You can see it in each other. When I look in his eyes and he looked at me in his eyes, just that we knew what we wanted to accomplish. Before game one was even complete, Kyrie Irving also went down. Two of the big three were gone and so was Cleveland's hope of ending its drought. The Golden State Warriors are the 2015 NBA champions. After this amount of time I put in, it's finally coming to fruition and I'm just glad that it could happen now. One of the great playoff runs of all time is complete. A lot of work goes to him. A lot of work that we put in together just knowing each other's games and just giving each other space to work. We have the greatest player playing our game right now on the team. You just space out and let him do his thing. We both have so much confidence in one another that we see one guy go on, we let him go, and then it's your turn. It's almost like the WWE or WWF back in the day tag team match. When he's ready for me to come in, he tags me in. When I'm ready for him to get something, I tag him in. To have that one-two punch right there is something special. This unbelievable guy right here, he took over in the fourth and brought us home. He's an automatic all-star. He's the best point guard in our league, man, to me. Every night I get an opportunity to see him play the way he's playing. Like I told you guys the other day, he's much more than an all-star. That's small peanuts on his plate and what he should be on his progression. He's much more than an all-star. Those things you take care of yourself. He's a much better player than that.
