What's going on Sports Wars? This is Ryan with RK Outposts and GeeksandGamers.com
and Kelly Stafford, wife of NFL Detroit Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford,
is publicly destroying the NFL right now after how they have handled the COVID pandemic,
specifically in regards to her husband and a false positive test that really screwed up their lives
for about a week. Now as the NFL looks at the NBA and Major League Baseball in regards to how
they are going to manage everything. You see Major League Baseball, it has been a terrible
experience. They're not playing in a bubble. They did not have a lot of controls surrounding
to protect COVID. Whereas the NBA, as tough as it's been to watch NBA basketball and the ratings
are down significantly because of the social justice messaging that they are putting into
each and every broadcast, they have had zero positive cases since everyone went down into
the bubble. So it is working for them. They're going to continue to be able to play as long as
that bubble doesn't get broken somehow. The NFL right now is planning on taking Major League
Baseball's route and right now it does not look like that might be a good plan. You can see right
here that 107 people in the offseason tested positive. Since training camp began, 56 players
have tested positive for COVID-19 in the NFL. Now one of those people who we thought was positive
Matthew Stafford because he got put on the COVID reserve list. All the information was out there
that Matthew Stafford had tested positive for COVID. Now that really affects his family when
that happens and his wife is pissed at the NFL about this. Matthew Stafford's false positive
caused a nightmare for his family, could turn into a nightmare for the NFL. The NFL better be
paying close attention to the situation that unfolded over the past week. He was placed on
reserve COVID-19 list. The problem for the league is that Stafford was only on the list because he
recorded a false positive after being tested for COVID. It took less than a week for the NFL to
figure out that he didn't have it, but in that week it created a nightmare for his family.
Listen to what his wife Kelly said on Instagram. The past four days have been a nightmare,
Kelly Stafford wrote. For 24 hours we believed my husband was positive for COVID. Now you have
to remember that Kelly Stafford is considered high risk for COVID because she had a brain tumor,
she is still kind of in the recovery process of that technically. She is on the high risk category
when it comes to COVID. We were all tested day after day and we were all negative including Matthew,
then he tested negative, then again and again and again. After his second negative we were made aware
of the false positives and how this was one of those cases. But they were soon like everybody knew
because the NFL went and said hey by the way Matthew Stafford has COVID. So then everyone in
the community knows that he's potentially exposed his family. So his family started getting attacked
everywhere they went for endangering people. I have been losing my mind because of how my family
has been treated since my husband was put on COVID-IR. Even after we knew it was false positive
our school told us we were not allowed back. I was approached in a grocery store told I was
endangering others. My kids were harassed and kicked off of a playground. I was told I needed
to wait in my car when picking up food and people closest to us had to get tested just so they could
go back to work. All because the NFL has not figured out how to adequately handle these
testings. They do not know what they're doing. Roger Goodell is about to start a disaster of a
season for the NFL. Not only because they've already decided to bend the knee to the NFL in
regards to social justice, Black Lives Matter movement, national anthem protests, but also in
the fact that they do not seem prepared to handle what the normal expectation is for COVID. And
Kelly puts it all on the NFL. I don't blame these scenarios or any of the people directly involved.
I understand where they're coming from. But I do blame the NFL. I blame the NFL for not holding
themselves accountable. These are people's lives and livelihoods that are results on their test
sites. Maybe we should be absolutely positive a person has COVID before releasing that info to
the world. I'm sharing our experience because I don't want to happen to any other family that
plays in the league. Now, and one of the problems is they don't have a really good policy right now.
If you get a false positive, you still have to sit out for at least five days, even if you test
negative over and over and over again, which doesn't really make any sense. That's going to
be really hectic when it comes to a lineup. You do a false positive on a Friday, even if you test
negative on Saturday and Sunday, you still can't play in that game. That is not a good policy going
forward. The NFL really has to look at this. Not only is it obviously affecting people's lives,
like Matthew Stafford and his entire family and extended family and friends who couldn't even go
to work, which is just insane to think about when we're talking about something that doesn't really
affect people all that much. But if the NFL wants to have a successful season and don't want to go
the way of Major League Baseball in the chaos that they are currently going through, they might want
to think about developing some better policies going forward. Let me know what you think about
all this in the comments below. Make sure you smash the like button, subscribe to the channel,
