CHIPS in the Bush - BUSHCRAFT Kitchen #2

Hey guys, how you going, hope everyone's doing well. As you can tell I'm back in the bush again, heading into my bush hut, trying to make the most, fit in the most adventures I can before this lockdown takes place. Been a bit of rain overnight in here so it's a little bit slippery, just got a few more streams to cross and then I'm going to be in there. Pretty treacherous, I've got to get, got to get down this little, little bit here and across the stream. Not too bad though. See our waterhole. Beautiful day here. Bit of a sun shower at the moment but it's actually really nice. Alright guys, I hope you're hungry, I'm going to run you through what I'm going to be cooking today before I commence with some work on the bush hut, which will be in the next video. Rightio guys, today on the menu, potatoes, cut into chips, breakfast sausages, fried egg, who doesn't love garlic. Before I get into all that, I'm going to make myself a cup of tea, I'm going to get the billy going. This is my flint knife, this thing's been great, works when it's wet, bloody awesome. Cup of tea's cooling down, I'm going to get onto the potatoes because they take a little while to fry. Alright so I've prepped everything that I need to prep, my garlics, so I'm going to get the oil going and get the chips in, and in the meantime we can sip on our cup of tea while that's heating up. It's going to be delicious. Alright the oil's heating up, shouldn't take too long. We've got our nice cup of tea we can get into here, my little cup, get that tea bag out of there. Cheers. As you can see I've put some garlic through there this time, that's going to infuse those chips with that garlic taste. I haven't tried that before so it'll be interesting. Rightio I've got my chips just frying away, going to go have a look down here at the stream. Beautiful spot down here, all those tranquil sounds of the stream. Trouble is in here you get ---- falling off the trees, I've got a couple of bugs and bits in the tea. Good for your nutrients. Hey buddy, what are you doing? Oh there's two of ya! Hey! Whoa! What are you doing? Can't sit still can ya? Yeah they're starting to look like deep fried chips now, shallow fried anyway. Garlic flavour is just overpowering. Give these another few minutes and then they can come off, we'll get our sausage on. Sausages and an egg, taste test. Guys these bloody chips, see if that'll focus. Beautiful. Crunchy too. That garlic's just gone right through it. Not too strong though which is good, I thought it was going to overpower it. It's just turned out perfect. Crack that egg I think, get the old egg in there. Pan's not exactly level but it'll do. Alright I'm going to turn this off, just let that sit there for a minute. Alright guys, we are done. Look at this dish. Look at that. Chips. Those are bloody beautiful looking things. Crunchy as. Mmm. Gotta remember in these videos to keep my mouth shut when I'm chewing. I noticed when I've been editing it, my last one, sounds bloody horrible so I apologise for that, but it gets on anyone's nerves. Just got my local butcher. Organic butcher. Breakfast sausages. Beef I think, yep. Mmm they got that garlic. I cooked them in the same oil as the chips so they got that garlic essence through them. Mmm. This is the one I'm excited for too. I'm excited to try this egg. The garlic essence through it. Look at that. Mmm. Oh. Tell you what, this is better than bloody sitting at home watching the news at the moment. Facebook bloody depressing with all this virus ----. Mmm. Oh man that's bloody beautiful. The whole point of me coming in the bush today is to get as much action and footage as I can so I've got some stuff to edit. Because this lockdown kicks in, you know. I don't recommend coming out and doing stuff. Got a bloody sun shower now. But yeah, I do recommend to take it seriously. Stay at home unless you really need something essential from the supermarket.
